Well, I get that she doesn't know that I'm a rich ass woman myself but still… You can't just judge people like that, you know. Just because my man is wealthier than me in any sense, it doesn't mean that I'm after his money.

For starters, her thinking like that is a reflection of herself. So who really is the gold-digger between us?

"And?" Rachel 

"They jump to the clearest sign of opportunity, like marrying someone out of convenience with the goal in mind," My eyes held hers-- "They are mostly the hypocritical ones who talk big and act high and mighty." 

Rachel and I stared at each other. Her expression was turning sour and it made me smile.
