88 Denial

"It is true?" was her broken whisper. It was said in the softest voice possible, full of air, and laced with extreme despair. Her left hand went to her mouth, stifling her mewls.

"No…" Wynter muttered and slowly shook her head. Tears began to stream down her face again, falling into her table.

"No. It's a lie…" she added and bit her palm as a cry was about to escape her mouth.

"Wynter…" was Althea's response who began to sob. "She's dead… she-- she sent me her will."

Her right hand lost its power as her phone slid off of her grip, falling onto the floor. She did not care if it broke or where it dropped off, the world around her seemed to disappear, leaving her alone in a dark void.
