18 I have realised my mistake

"My father was afraid that what happened to my mother might happen to me as well, so he imposed many restrictions on me. I used to feel suffocated inside those closed doors. And the lack of freedom and the lack of say in anything only made me more stubborn and agitated. There were many occasions where I misused time, just to get rid of it, but every time my father managed the situation somehow. It was only when he left that I realised, whatever I was doing was wrong all along," after saying that, she went silent.

Nancy was keenly listening to each and every word Soya was saying. Now that Soya had abruptly stopped, Nancy felt herself in a spot, as she slowly regained her sitting posture, "What do you want to do now?" Soya looked at her, and said, "I want to reverse everything with Avon's help and bring back my people." Nancy was confused with what she was referring to, "But you did kill him, right?" Soya looked away from her, as she continued, "I know what I did, I was very angry back then. But now, I have realised my mistake."
