3 Rumors in the Town

Jenny held the handle of the door. She had already turned the handle down, but the door could not be opened, which made her feel puzzled.

"Ivan, are you in there?"

"Yes, I'm here."

"Are you okay? Did you lock the door?"

"Yes, I'm okay, Mom, I'll unlock it right away."

In the room, Ivan was facing the door with his hands flat out, his body was exuding a faint gleam, and his plaid shirt was shaking.

The door is In fact not locked, he is just using his psychic energy to control the door so that it cannot

be moved. Just like a rock, and no one can enter.

"Ivan, you are acting weird today." Jenny said outside the door.

"Isn't it a little weird every day? Mom, don't worry about me."

"Oh okay, take a break soon after you finish your work." Jenny was helpless. She did not understand why her son was different from other children, and something strange always happened around him.

But for so many years, her mentality has long since calmed down. As long as Ivan is safe, she was ok.

"It's so cool." Ivan withdrew his psychic energy, and the shaking plaid shirt returned to normal.

'Why didn't I find out earlier...?'

'I am a superpower!' (?ω?)

"I thought that fate only gave me a second life, to let me experience a life without pain, which is my greatest happiness."

Ivan looked at the palm of his hand, and there were a few blue light spots floating on it, like blue fireflies.

He remembered what the nurse sister said to him in the previous life.

'Don't complain about fate now, for one day, you will be favored. '

'Every kind-hearted child who has been tortured and died will become a lucky soul, and he will be the happiest person in the next life. '

o(T o T)o I have indeed become a happy person, thank you...

The blue light burst out from Ivan's body, the scattered objects in the room were picked up again by the psychic energy. The fragmented paintings were pieced together and restored, the erected bed fell steadily, and all the objects returned to their original positions under the blue light.

Ivan finished, and it only took seven seconds.

The next morning, Ivan stretched out, and he felt full of spiritual energy, like an endless source of energy.

It took three seconds to put on all his clothes, and then he went to wash again. When Ivan went down to the first floor, he heard someone discussing outside.

Richard was sitting in the courtyard with a middle-aged woman discussing something.

"Are you sure this is our house?" Richard asked uncertainly, looking at the photo in his hand.

What was taken in the photo was a two-story building that floated in the air last night, which is Richard's house.

"It's true! I saw it with my own eyes, and then I took a photo with my own hands! You cannot say I'm wrong! I didn't have a dream; it is simply a miracle!"

The middle-aged woman talks endlessly, and Ivan recognizes her. She is his neighbor, Kacy.

"It looks like my house, but it's impossible. Nothing happened last night. We slept well." Richard scratched his head. "Is this a photo you processed with software?"

"Why should I lie to you? Is it good for me? You... forget it, if you don't believe it, someone will believe it."

As soon as the middle-aged woman walked for a while, the mayor came, and he yelled when he saw Richard from far away.

"Richard! I heard that your house went to heaven last night?"

The mayor was a sturdy old man with white hair and a strong voice.

"Who said that? Kacy?"

"I heard from Sean, and he took a photo with his phone." The mayor walked into the yard with his hands behind his back, looked at Richard, and then at Ivan standing at the door, "Nothing like that happened?"

"Of course, there is no such thing. How can the house ascend to heaven if the house is rooted into the ground? Do you believe them Mayor?"

Richard felt very awkward. He got up early in the morning and there were always neighbors who said that his house had taken off. He did not know who was so boring to spread such rumors.

He just wanted to say to the rumors: "You just took off; your whole family has taken off!".

"Well, I think it may be a rumor, but now the newspapers are out. You see, this is the small town daily." The mayor stretched out his hand behind him, holding a newspaper in his hand.

Richard took the newspaper and looked at it. It was not bad. There were only a few pieces of news in the daily newspaper, and the biggest news was 'Miracle! The Jones family of three ascended to heaven! Shocking! '

The newspaper also printed color pictures. The picture was exactly the picture of the house when it was in mid-air, but it was taken at a different angle from Kacy's photo. Obviously, it was not the same picture.

"Shocked?"

Had the mayor not been in front of him, Richard might have torn the newspaper on the spot.

"Mayor, can you tell the newspaper in the town to stop logging in to any news in my house? This is obviously someone trying to fool our house. This is a rumor." Richard said.

"Um, this... If it is a rumor, I can stop it. But the problem is, we have no evidence to prove that this is a rumor." The mayor said slowly.

"What do you mean, it's so obvious that evidence is needed? It is impossible for our family to ascend to heaven. Isn't this a rumor?"

"Well, I'll go back first if there is nothing to do. There is still work for me to do." The mayor shuffled around and left.

...

"what happened..."

Ivan stood at the door, and Jessica's whispered the question from behind him.

"Ah, you woke up, there are just some bad rumors in the town." Ivan explained weakly. Only he at home knew that this was not a rumor. It was most definitely true!

Richard found out that both children had gotten up.

"Ah, you are all awake, well, I will make breakfast for you."

"Thanks, dad." Ivan said with a smile.

"By the way, what the hell did you do last night! I don't that just a cup fell because of that loud thump."

"Sorry, I rolled off the bed while I was sleeping..."

"Oh my! be careful next time, did you knock your head hard?" Richard asked concerned.

"No."

"Stupid kid."

...

While eating breakfast, Ivan began to think about the future.

He knew that this world was an unusual world, not only that he was unusual, but that many things were unusual.

The small town's weekly newspaper and monthly report often included some big events outside, and he also learned from this that there was an arms dealer named Tony Stark in this world.

This means that the world he lives in is most likely the Marvel world.

This is an overly dangerous world. In the past, Ivan believed that the best way to avoid danger was to spend his life in this unfamiliar town with his family and be a small rancher by himself.

He has watched most Marvel movies, but he did not watch the one where Thanos finally wiped out half of the life in the universe with his fingers.

Although Captain Marvel and Avengers 4 were shown later, he was not able to watch them because he was lying in a hospital bed with risk of heart failure. So Sadly, he did not have a chance to watch them.

After only watching Avengers 3, he knows that at a certain moment in the world, half of his life will wither, and even he and his family are no exception. There is a half chance of death.

But he had no choice. He could only bet that he and his family did not die.

It was different now. He felt the abundant psychic energy in his body, which seemed to be able to light up the most suppressed darkness and turn the red sky into a blue sky.
