8 Shadow Clones!

[Age: 12 – 5 years later]

"Hokage-sama, the Uchiha clan head is here to see you."

"Bring him in."

As I walked into the office, I could see the aged Hokage in a staring contest with a stack of papers that had probably just been brought in.

"Hokage-sama, it's good to see you. How has your day been?" – I asked with a smile.

"Ah, Kei, I wish I could say it's been good but…" – he responded as his eyes drifted towards the stacks of paper with dread.

"… I understand your pain Hokage-sama." – I replied as I remembered my own mountains of paper that stood tall until 2 years ago.

"… hah, never mind that, what have you come to me for today? It is my understanding that you just graduated from the academy."

"Indeed, and I was hoping to ask about my appointed sensei and team."

"Is there a problem? Kakashi was chosen based on your abilities, while it is the first time we implement a 4-cell team under a Jonin, considering our number of graduates this was deemed more appropriate."

"I don't have a problem with Kakashi's set of abilities, or his apparent laziness, or his conduct of behavior…"

With each word I spoke, the Hokage's expression plummeted even further.

"If these… faults of Kakashi don't pose a problem to you, then what is the problem?"

Whoa… I never would have believed I would have seen the Hokage's face become red… from shame about one of his most famous and strongest Jonin.

"As you know my circumstances are a bit special, being head of the clan, I can't be gone for extended periods of time, especially without anyone to take over after I leave."

"You should have more faith in the village Kei. I don't believe the other clan heads would go after your back, especially considering the public opinion. They have businesses in here after all."

"It is not them I am worried about Hokage-sama, it is Danzo. You tolerate him too much."

"Haa… You're probably right, I'm getting too old for all this. So… what do you want?"

"To not be forced to participate in missions and I would like to require Might Gai as my teacher… in his free time of course. Training with him should yield more results than Kakashi."

"This is taking a completely different road from the other graduates, the clan's heads won't be happy and most likely disapprove of your decision."

"As long as you want it, it will happen, you are The God of Shinobi, after all, you can push this small matter and in exchange, I help you keep Dazno in check."

"And what makes you think I need your help? As you said, I am the God of Shinobi…" – Hiruzen said as his chakra exploded.

"And that is why you can deal with the shinobi… but the civilian council views me as much more important than Danzo… and you barely have any of their support. I can get them to back off of Danzo, pressure will be lifted off of your shoulders… and the paperwork will lessen."

The third jumped at my last word.

"Deal!" – He said as he rose up quickly.

While feeling relieved about the paperwork… the Professor wasn't such an easy man. He only cared about keeping Danzo away from power without killing him. Mostly because Konoha needed root and its activities. The third was getting weaker… but never softer.

I had been tracking Naruto as he went towards the forest, a giant scroll of forbidden Jutsu in hand, making his way towards Mizuki, deep in the forest, and Iruka picking up the boys trail.

The rest went about the same as Kuro remembered, only this time… two red eyes watched Naruto and his chakra movement as he performed the Shadow Clone Jutsu and disappeared the next moment, flickering out of the vicinity.

As I appeared in the Uchiha compound I immediately created a clone.

We both looked at each other for a second, before flickering out of sight and creating a sound wave as we met in the middle, my fist in armored form connecting with his in armored form.

"So we do…"

"…think alike."

"How?"

"You know it doesn't matter. Same opinion as well."

As we finished talking, we each created another clone and continued clashing in a free for all. Two, four, eight, sixteen, thirty-two, and so on. Thankfully this skill didn't need control. My chakra would continue to be divided into two until it reached one unit and I wouldn't even feel it. I didn't need chakra to live after all. This way I could train to resist every type of attack, and that is what I did for three days.

Built by spending nearly half of the Uchiha treasury, an underground training ground that could withstand the shockwaves of more than 1000 shinobi with Tsunade's strength exchanging blows simultaneously. As I clashed with a shadow clone in a completely equal exchange another one's fist found my face, hitting in tandem with another clone's kick in my stomach, launching me crashing towards the wall as another clone took the opportunity to redirect a kick in my back, sending me back towards the ones who hit me first. As I struggled to meet more than 100 clones attacking in an unpredictable manner I could only match at most 2 of myself without losing ground. They fought like me, thought like me, and took every advantage, from throwing dirt to using Susanoo's ribs to defend against my strikes.

As I continued to get the beating of three lifetimes I decided to train with my Susanoo.

"Susanoo."

And it rose in dark crimson color, reaching the ceiling of the underground training room. Immediately all the sparring clones dispelled as only 4 others remained, all activating Susanoo, attacking me without waiting. Swords of Chakra clashed with one another as my Susanoo was slowly ripped apart. Try as it might it was 2 swords against eight moving at the same time… but little by little even my chakra was getting stronger. As my Susanoo struggled to keep up, its shining red eyes slowly changed as 3 black tomoes appeared in them slowly rotating as another pair of arms appeared in its back. From barely keeping up with two, I could now deflect all Four Susanoo's… alas still in the defensive.

Blade clashed against my skin, every time doing less and less damage until it failed to even pierce halfway into me. Fire Jutsu burned into my armored form from all four directions with increased intensity. My clones didn't evolve so I could only have them inflict damage upon me.

At the end of each practice, I was always a little better, every time got a little bit faster and stronger, reacted a little faster… my Sharingan could see further into their movements... but the situation was reset with each training session making me unable to keep the advantage.

As a result of gaining a new perspective from using the shadow clones… a new plan begins to take form in my mind. Konoha still had the forbidden Jutsu, and while not Minato's Flying Raijin it had Tobirama's original version. That was something I couldn't take from Orochimaru. The Impure World Reincarnation would also be something I doubt Orochimaru would give me access to learn. With my political power and the next two major events in this village, I could position myself as Hokage and gain access to Tobirama's Forbidden Jutsu's.

While my clones could stay indefinitely due to the chakra regeneration, they could still be dispelled in one hit, so I had to make sure to leave two more as insurance which would leave me with chunin level chakra. Only Madara could notice the difference so far so I could conduct experiments with the help of Orochimaru while playing the part of Uchiha Clan head. Not to mention the various adventures Naruto would be going midwhile, most important of all the Zero tails. The only creature resembling Tailed beasts I could experiment on.

My calligraphy and research on seals would have to begin soon. Opportunities were everywhere if you knew to look hard enough and while not all of them could be seized, I wouldn't be letting all of them skip me by.
