13 We Need To Talk

(Storm's POV)

When we left the house, I was both furious and sad at the same time. Furious because her fucking father hit his own daughter and my mate. Sad because he hurt her because of me. She insulted her father because of me.

As soon as we got to the guest house, I put Athena on her bed and ran to the kitchen to get an ice pack. When I got the ice pack, I ran back to her room and helped her put it on her face. "I'm so sorry." I said to as I held the ice pack against her face.

"Why are you sorry." she asked. "Are you serious? It's all my fault that this happened to you." I explained. She just chuckled after I said that. I was confused. Why the hell is she chuckling. "Storm, this is not your fault. Yes you may have been the topic, but this is none of your doing. It was my choice to say that to my father. In fact, I'm actually glad I did. You are my mate and I will not let my father get in the way of something I haven't felt in a long time. My happiness."

She pulled my hand with the ice pack away, held both of my hands, and took a deep breath. "Storm, I heard your little confession. What you said made me feel something in my heart that I can't even explain. I never felt this way before, but I like it. I feel the same way as you. These past few days have been some of the best days I have ever had."

She paused for a moment and took another deep breath. "Listen Storm, I'm just going to come out and say it. I-I L-Like you okay. I don't know why I'm saying it but I just am. I like being around you. You bring out a part of me that I didn't even know I had and I like it."

Wow all of this at once. She really just confessed that she likes me. She turned her face as if she is embarrassed at what she said. I put my hand on her cheek and turned her to face me. I took a deep breath and said "I feel the same way."

After hearing my words, she gave me a slight smile and I chuckled at her. I pulled her into a hug and she hugged me back.

When we pulled away, she looked at me and groaned. "Wow way to ruin the moment." I said and she chuckled. "No it's not you. It's the fact that I just realized something. I have to actually go to work tomorrow with my parents." she explained.

Hearing her words, I just sat there and laughed. "Oh man. That's going to be very interesting." I said to her still laughing. She punched my shoulder and started to laugh herself.

I looked at the time and saw it was getting late. "Okay no more laughing. It's getting late and like you said 'you have tomorrow.' Go to bed." I gave her a kiss on the cheek,which kind of stunned her, and got up and went through the bathroom to my room.

I changed out of my clothes and changed into some shorts and a tank top. I layed down on the bed and surprisingly went to sleep with no problem at all.

(The Next Morning)

The next morning, I woke up at around 10:00, which is weird because I'm, usually an early bird. This is the first time I woke up late. It felt weird. I got up from my bed and did my usual morning routine.

When I got downstairs and went into the kitchen. There was a stack of pancakes waiting for me on the counter. There was a note on the pancakes.

Storm,

"You were sleeping very peacefully so I didn't wake you.

I went to work.

Come during lunch time so we can grab some together.

You could take one of the cars or bikes in the garage.

I will inform Jered to show you.XOXO"

My lips curved upward after reading the note. She is just so adorable. I took the stack of pancakes and ate them like no other. Pancakes are the bomb.

After eating the pancakes, I watched a little TV. I started watching the show Lucifer. Weird show but very interesting. Very funny too.

I looked at the time and realized it was getting close to lunch time. So I turned off the tv and went upstairs to get dressed. I put on a simple black T-shirt, a pair of black jeans, and my black converse. Also to top it off, since she wrote on the note that there were bikes in the garage, I put on a black leather jacket and M framed sunglasses.

I left the guest house and went up to the main house and found Jered waiting for me. He took me the garage and saw many cars and motorcycles of all kinds. I was amazed, especially about the bikes.

I looked around to see the bikes when my eyes was caught on one specific bike. A 2016 Harley-Davidson Sportster in a blue color. It was gorgeous. I was definitely going to pick this ride.

Jered tossed me the keys to the bike and an extra helmet and I hopped on. I put the helmet on my wrist to hang on to it and then I put the key in the ignition and started the bike. Oh the sound of the engine roaring was heavenly.

I put I gripped the handles and started to ride out of the garage and was on my way. The air was hitting my face and it felt wonderful.

I arrived at King Sights in about ten minutes. I parked the bike and walked into the building to the reception desk. I take off my helmet and glasses and the receptionist is in awe.

"U-Um H-How can I h-help you s-sir." she asks nervously. I chuckled a little and said "Please inform Ms. Athena King that Storm Dreyer is here for her." She nodded and got on the phone.

I looked around while I waited and noticed a group of girls coming towards me. They all had way too much make up on. One girl in particular came really close to me. "Mm who is nice piece of meat? I'm very interested." she said to me. 'What the fuck's I thought to myself.

"Sorry I'm not interested. I already have a girl." I said to her. "Hmm someone is playing hard to get. Now I'm extremely interested." she said as she came closer to me.

Then all of a sudden, the girl was yanked away by her shirt and picked up in the air. The person who was the one who yanked the girl was Athena. Looking at her, she was wearing a leather jacket, a white shirt, some tight blue jeans, and heels. "Who the hell are you? Who the fuck is she dude?" she asked looking at her then me.

I chuckled and said "She would be my girl." Athena dropped her on the floor and said "Stay the hell away from my man. I will not tell you again." She walked to me and I pulled her close by the waist and kissed her cheek. She smiled at me and we walked out of the building.

We walked to the motorcycle and handed her the helmet intended for her. She put it on and we both got on the bike and had lunch at a Chinese place. We had an awesome time. We got back to the company and we both said our farewells and she went inside.

As I was about to leave, I was stopped by a black town car. The person that got out of the car was Athena's dad. He came up to me and said in a cold tone "We need to talk."
