The Love Of My Life (Part 2)

(Diamond's POV)

"Mom, Dad we're home! There's someone I want you to meet!" I yelled up the stairs. "Be down in a moment sweetie!" my mom yelled back. Adriana appeared from the kitchen and walled over to us. Jered walked over and gave his dear wife a small kiss. Adriana looked over at us and came closer. "Adriana this i--" I tried to say before I was interrupted by Adriana. "I already know who he is your mate. It's a pleasure to meet you Daniel. I'm Adriana, Jered's mate and your future sister-in-law." she said as he shook his hand.

"Wait you knew? " Jered asked. "Of course I knew. Did you forget I was the one who went through her memories?" she replied to Jered and then turned back to us and continued. "And by the way, that was a beautiful proposal you did." I blushed a little and smiled at the memory of his proposal to me. "PROPOSAL!!"

We all turned towards the stairs and see my mother and father. I awkwardly laughed a little. I let go of Danny's hand and strolled over to my parents. "Mom, dad we need to talk." I said as I grabbed their hands and walked in to the living room and sat them down. Danny, Jered, and Adriana came next to me and looked at me.

I took a deep breath and started to speak. "Okay mom and dad, don't freak out but during the time I was gone and was with Alpha Blade, I met my mate. First thing first, he is human. Second, I know it's unusual for a vampire and human to be mates but it's true. When I found out I said the same thing, but in reality I was happy. Ever since I met him, he has made me happy and I knew I wanted to be with him. Third, we hid our relationship from the Alpha and the pack. Before I came back here, he proposed and I said yes. We were planning on running away from the pack to get married, but Storm had brought me here."

"I thought I would never see him again, but Alpha Blade ordered him and someone else to follow Athena and Storm. Jered and other people from the pack caught them and took them to the dungeon. That's where I found him. After Storm brought me back here, Alpha Blade sent people to look for me and that's when they saw everything that happened. Danny found the engagement ring he gave on the ground covered in blood and he thought I was dead."

"Mom, Dad, because of this when he was in the interrogation room he told Athena that she could kill him if she wanted to. He didn't want to live anymore because he thought that I was dead. I know you still think I'm young to get married and stuff but I don't care. Danny has always been there for me and he had already had my heart before I even knew he was my mate. I love him so much. I'm sorry if you can not accept it but I do. I don't care if he is human. I love him for him and he loves me for me and that's all I'm going to say."

After I finished talking, my parents stared at me like I had three heads. I didn't know what to do so I looked at Adriana and Jered. Instead I found them both wiping away their tears. I turned back to my parents and finally my mom stood and was walking towards me. I held my breath for what was going to happen next, but I ended up being surprised.

When my mom stood in front of me, she pulled in a tight hug. I seriously had no clue of what was happening. I don't know how long she was hugging me but when she finally did, I looked at her face and saw she was actually crying. "Mom are you okay?" I asked and she nodded frantically as she wiped her away tears.

She put her hands on my shoulders and looked straight into my eyes and said "Sweetheart, if you love him and he loves you then you don't need our permission. We will support you no matter what." Hearing her say that, I became so happy that I didn't realize that tears were falling down my face. She wiped away my tears and signalled dad to come to us.

They both gave me a quick hug and then turned to Danny. I went to him and pulled him over to my parents. "Mom, Dad, this is my mate and fiance Daniel Shaw." Danny greeted them and shook their hands.

After greeting them, my parents sat us down on one couch while Adriana, Jered and them sat on the other. They just kept staring at us until my mother spoke. "So how did this all come about? " she asked as she pointed towards us. Danny took my hand into his and spoke. "I met her when she first arrived at the pack. I was fifteen at the time and one of the most experienced people in the pack. Alpha Blade had made me go somewhere far away with her to help her train. I didn't like the idea of just taking a little girl but I really had no option so I did as I was told."

"Once we were far away from Alpha, I trained her, but since she was still a child I decided to secretly home school her. I was very smart for my age so it was no problem. Everyday she grew stronger and smarter and I was amazed at how hard she worked. Little did I know, I was also falling in love with her everyday as well. She never disappointed me at all."

My mom looked at him in awe. I leaned my head on his shoulder and he kissed the top of my head. "So Diamond when did you finally know that he was your mate?" Jered asked. "On my 18th birthday last year. A couple of years before, Alpha called us back for a mission. I had to befriend Storm and then bring him back to the pack. As you can see it didn't work out, but he still sent us on missions."

"The day before my 18th birthday, we were on a mission and I got taken. Danny didn't stop trying find me and on the next day, he did. When I saw his face that day, I felt my blood and fangs start to pulse with happiness. I knew that he was my mate. While we were in the infirmary, I told him. He was confused at first but in the end he was happy."

I heard Adriana and my mom make an awe sound and I giggled a little. "Tell them how you proposed. " Adriana said anxiously. Danny chuckled and started to explain how he proposed. "Well it was about six months after she told me about me being her mate. We had been together since then and I wanted to move forward with her. So I took her to our favorite meeting spot which was a waterfall at night time. I had everything set up before hand and was just waiting for her to come. When she did come, I had lit the path to the waterfall with candles and we walked along the path."

"Once we got to the waterfall, the waterfall was lit up and I had a small picnic set for us on top of the water fall. It looked so romantic. After eating the food I had made, I asked her to close her eyes because I had a surprise for her. She did as she was told and I took out the ring and kneeled down in front of her. Then I said to her 'Diamond all my life nobody really cared about who I was and wanted to be. That was until I met you. When I first met you I could not have imagined what our relationship would evolve into, or how much you could mean to me, although from the second I met you I knew that you were very special. Now I know how very special you really are and I am so in love with you. You've taken me to a place that I couldn't have believed possible. Let's continue this forever, building the perfect life, and growing old together. I'll be your knight in shining armor, there to protect you from all that life can throw at you. Be my wife, and give me the privilege of being your husband, always and forever.' "

"I told her to open her eyes and she did. She was surprised and her eyes started to water. Then I continued and I asked her 'Will you marry me?' and she said yes. I'm telling you right now, I had the biggest smile on my face when I put the ring on her finger. I was finally going to be with the woman I love."

"AWWW" Adriana and my mother said out loud in unison. "Damn boy way to make us other men look bad." my dad said and I laughed at his comment. I yawned lightly and Danny asked me "Are you tired?" and I nodded. "Guys it's getting late and I'm tired. Can we go to bed now?" I asked and they nodded.

Danny got up first and helped me up from the couch. I pulled him up the stairs to my room. "You can take a shower first. I'm going to ask my brother for some clothes for you." I said as I walked back down stairs. I asked Jered for some clothes and he gave me some and I went back upstairs into my room.

Once I got in the room and closed the door, Danny walked out of the bathroom with a towel around his waist and he had another towel in his hand drying his hair. All I could see his smoking hot body dripping with water. "Are you just going to stand there and stare?" he asked and I snapped out of my state if mind. I blushed a little and walked over to him and handed him the clothes.

I walked into my closet and grabbed some clothes before I went into the bathroom. I took a quick shower and got dressed. I felt refreshed and definitely was ready for bed. I walked out of the bathroom and saw Danny already laying on the bed. I got into the bed and layed my head on his chest. He wrapped his arm around me and pulled me close, kissing the top of my head. "I love you" he said and I replied "I love you too".Soon after we both went into a peaceful sleep.
