5 Flashback 11 YEARS AGO

(Athena's POV)

School. We all hate it sometimes right. Same with me. I hated school but I was one of the top students. I rarely talked to people and just put my mind into music.

One day on my way home from school listening to music on my phone, I noticed a group of men surrounding one tree. I took a few steps closer to the group and saw a kid who looked older than me tied up against the tree. The men that surrounded him beat him.

The kid lifted his head and saw me. He eyes looked as if he was defeated. I couldn't stand these guys beating on him. I ran towards the group and yelled "STOP."

The men looked at me and laughed and told me to get lost. I told them and no and they started to come at me. One by one I ended up setting them on fire. All I heard were screams of pain. They all fell to the ground and were completely burnt.

I ran to the kid that was tied up and he tried to speak,but couldn't. I untied his hands and he fell to the ground. He slowly got up and looked at me. He had silver hair and really dark eyes. He looked kind of cute despite all the bruises that were on his face.

He opened his mouth again, but this time he spoke. "Thank you." he said and I smiled at him. He looked like had nobody and I don't know what came over me. I grabbed my bag and pulled out my Exceed, Angel (a gift I got on my 5th birthday from my parents) and gave it to him. I told him it will keep him safe and I bid him goodbye and left him.

When I got home, I told my parents what happened and what I did. They were angry at first but they happy that I was at least ok. They asked me about the boy and I told them. My mother did a search of the woods to locate the boy but they never found him.
