2 Jeju Island
A small girl in a floral dress came running into her big yet simple wooden kitchen.
"Mom! Mom !" She called, tucking on her mom's trousers, who was busy mixing the came better.
" What is it honey? " her mom looked down at her adorable 6-year-old daughter.
Just by looking at her red pouty lips and innocent puppy eyes, she knew she wasn't just here to greet her mother, she wanted something.
" Can I pleaseee go outside to playy? " she requested as she batted her eyelashes innocently, hoping to hear a yes.
Her mom chuckled at her daughter trying to act all cute.
"Minnie..baby"
She halted her work and cleaned her hands with a handkerchief.
" I'm not free right now. I can't take you out" She said crotching down.
"Please wait for an hour, mommy will finish baking this cake for Appa and you, and then all of us will go out together, ok?"
"B-but " Minsuh tried to protest, but knowing very well that her mom won't budge, she stopped herself from saying anything further.
"Please honey, listen to mom."
"Okiee..." she pouted.
Waiting for one whole hour meant she had to be patient for a long time and it was something she was really really bad at...Being patient.
Knowing her daughter fully well, her mom gave her an idea, while she herself went back to mixing the batter.
"Go and draw a pic of mommy making a cake and show me how I look."
This idea seemed interesting to the little girl so she obliged and went out of the kitchen.
As she walked past the main door beside the stairs that led to the garden, she noticed the security guard in a deep slumber.
A mischievous smile was now plastered on her face as she turned back, wore her shoes quietly and sneaked outside.
Little Minsuh's POV:
' Its been 20 minutes and I have been running since then'
'Its soo fun to run wherever I want because mommy is not here to scold me .. '
'But I'm tired now auuuh' she yawned, already getting tired of her little adventure.
Just then she saw something that refuelled her energy all at once.
"Wow !! A butterfly!" She gasped as her eyes fell on a beautiful orange butterfly with an amber shade on the upper part of her wings.
" Sooo beautiful! Come here, baby ! " She squealed, trying to catch her but the butterfly flew away...
So she did what she thought was best,.. ran after her.
After some time, The 6-year-old got tired of chasing the butterfly, so she turned back to go home.
But...
"Where am I ?"
"Mom ! Dad! "
She looked to left and right, front and behind. But she was in a completely unfamiliar surrounding.
Panic started taking over her heart but she reminded herself to stay calm. Of course knowing how mischievous their little daughter was, her parents had taught her what to do in a situation like this, be a sensible girl, stay calm and call for them. That's what she tried to do. She tried her best to stay calm and search here and there even tho she was on the verge of breaking down.

*1 hour later*
She had been haphazardly running around while immensely crying and screaming for her parents, she was nowhere near calm now...how could she be? She had never been away from her mom for this long.
"Mom! Appa!"
"Mom!!"
She was screaming till her dry throat started hurting and even then she didn't stop.
After a lot of running.. she finally saw a familiar garden in the distance, she was sure that it was hers. A wave of relief rushed down her panicked self.
'I'll never ever go anywhere alone without mommy's permission, she promised herself before returning to her home.
As she stepped out of the thorny bushes to run towards her home, she felt a pair of hands grabbing her from behind.
She flinched from the abrupt action and cried out ."Leave me ahh!!"
"Shh...A girl should not scream like that..."
An old man's voice was heard as she felt a cloth being put on her mouth.
Then everything went dark for her...

"No please...let me go..."
"Please..."
"I will kill you"
"kill you , Minsuh!"
"Minsuh !"
"Minsuh !WAKEUPPP!"
"Huh huh"...She woke up to Lisa screaming into her ears.
Oh it was just a nightmare...or a memory of the past...
"What happened, Beanie ? You were crying in your dreams"
Lisa inquired worriedly, wiping the tears from Minsuh's cheeks ..
"Just a nightmare." She assured her.
"Your nightmares still haven't stopped." Lisa sadly looked her.
Minsuh glanced at the clock placed on the side table.
"It's 6 a.m"
"Why are u awake so early?" She asked, in an attempt to change the subject.
"What do you mean early!?" She inquired, confused. Being the silly and forgetful person she was, she bought in on her friend's scheme.
"Wait...This seems early to you? WE ARE IN THE FREAKING JEJU ISLAND!" She exclaimed.
"Evey minute! EVERY SECOND IS PRECIOUS FOR US ! Now get up you sleepy bear, you are NOT gonna waste your time sleeping here!" Lisa sternly stated.
"Just 5 minutes." Minsuh peeked into her friend's eyes covered in bangs, showing her best puppy eyes.
But she wasn't even that silly! She wouldn't surrender to her best friend's 'to die for' puppy eyes.
"Won't work on me !".
She dragged her out of the bed and forcibly kicked her into the bathroom.
"Park Minsuh, I'm giving you five minutes to get ready and meet me outside the room!"

Meanwhile,
"Hyung, I think we've found her"
"Good job! Jihyuk."

'We've been exploring the hotel for half an hour on an empty stomach...EMPTY STOMACH!'
'0h God! this girl is crazy !'
"Minsuh?"
"Huh, what?"
'Has this girl remembered that we haven't had our breakfast yet ?' Minsuh hoped.
"Let's go explore the island !" She exclaimed, her eyes twinkling with excitement.
'Oh, no boy!'
"What did you just say!?" She asked, hoping she heard her wrong.
"Is that a yes or a no ?"
She heard right..
"A BIG NO ! " she glared at Lisa.
But Lisa held her arm, making a pout while swinging it left and right.
"Nope that pouty face won't work on me"
"Come on! Just for half an hour !"
"We are not allowed to go!"
"You know...I have heard there's a great breakfast stall nearby...maybe..." she trailed off, looking up to see the noticeable change in Minsuh's gaze.
'Caught her soft spot.' She knowingly smiled.
"We could also go there and have some kebabs for breakfast, they are reaaally famous for their hot and fresh kebabs". She looked at Minsuh innocently.
"Seriously? Using my weak point? Such a low move" She tsked while heading towards the exit door while Lisa happily hopped beside me.
"Always works"

*Half an hour later*
"Let's go back to the hotel! "
" Let's explore a little more! Pweasee "
"Come on! The stall is just nearby "
"Forget the stall! I'm not hungry anymore, let's go back."
Lisa ignored her, jogging over the big stones even faster.
"Lisa! Wait for me! You're going too fast!"
"Stop showing off that you go to Islands every Summer!."
" I'm not! Besides- "
"LISAAA"
"Omg Minsuh!" She turned around, running towards her friend who was now hugging the ground.
She batted her eyes at the weird sight.
"Are you ok ?" She asked.
Minsuh sent a death glare from the ground. "Do I look ok?"
"I'm sorry". She apologised gulping...she knew it was her mistake.
She was used to walking on hard rocks while Minsuh had no experience of hiking.
"Can you walk?"
Minsuh tried to get up but fell over again but this time Lisa caught her and helped her sot on a big rock nearby.
"Wait here...I'll find someone for help".
Minsuh nodded.

As Lisa was running to find help, she abruptly bumped into a hard chest.
"Ouch ..I'm sorry" she apologized to her silliness's second victim.
She looked up at him... 'wow he is handsome! '
"No it's ok .." he bowed.
" May I ask why you are in such a hurry .." the unknown man said in his deep voice.
' Ah wahhh that deep voice I am screaming inside.....but Minsuh's there waiting..ah..'
An idea popped in her head.
"Actually..can you come with me ?"
"Huh? "He asked confused, his pupils dilating.
She internally facepalmed.
'Stupid! That sounded so wrong'
"Actually my friend hurt her ankle." She explained.
"Oh okay, lead the way then." He said.
'He actually agreed...Imma introduce him to my lonely af friend'
I led him to where Minsuh was waiting for me.

Meanwhile, Minsuh had been waiting for Lisa at the same spot she left her.
After about 15 minutes, she saw her coming with a very handsome man.
"There she is!Minsuh!"
She came near me and pointed towards me while looking at the man.
"That's her". She told that stranger.
"Hello" he greeted her to which she politely smiled and nodded.
He chuckled lightly as he kneeled before her and examined her ankle.
She looked at up Lisa as she winked back at her.
The stranger looked up at her as she was busy giving death glares to Lisa.
"Uhm" he cleared his throat.
She quickly turned to him, all embarrassed.
"I think your ankle twisted, also your skin is bleeding." He informed her.
"I'll take you girls to your place. We can treat you there. " This time he was speaking to both of the girls.
He asked Lisa to lead the way and sat down on his knees.
"Get on my back" he said to Minsuh.
She shyly wrapped her arms around his shoulders and got on his back
'Thank God, he can't see my tomato face".
He gave her a piggy ride to the hotel while Lisa led the way, a VERY visible smirk on her face.

After about 20 minutes, they reached the hotel.
He took her to her hotel room while Lisa followed behind with a first aid box which they earlier borrowed from the reception.
He cleaned her wound carefully and wrapped a band-aid around her ankle.
"Thank you, Mr. Uhh ."
'Shit I forgot to ask his name.'
"Taeyung ".
"Thank you, Taeyung." She awkwardly bowed while still sitting on the bed.
He smiled back and got up to leave.
"I'll lead you back." Lisa offered politely.
"No, it's okay. I know my way". He answered her politely .
As he was getting out of the room, he stopped outside the door, looked at Minsuh and...winked..?
'Did he just wink at me?'
"See you soon ,Minsuh"
'Huh?'
"What did he mean by that y/nie?"
"Uh, I don't know." She replied in a daze, still confused.

"Minsuh" Lisa whined, nudging Minsuh".
"Its enough nap, you'll miss lunch!"
"how much have I slept?" She asked, half asleep.
"For 3 hours .."
She swiftly sat up straight on the bed.
"Wait WHAT? What do you mean by that?...ohno ohmy"
Panic took over her sleepy mind and she started rambling stuff.
"Didn't the teachers ask about me? OHMYGOD! DID THEY ALREADY FIND WE WENT OUT!?"
Lisa quickly covered the sleepy girl's mouth with her palms.
"Shushhhh..no! They didn't..but if you keep talking about it this loud, they'll surely do.!
And Don't worry I told them, you were sick"
Now she felt relieved, her friend wasn't that foolish it seems.
"Ah thanks Lisa." She apologized as she came a bit into her senses.
"No problem, I mean it was my mistake.." " I'm sorry..." The girl said in a sad tone, remembering the incident from the morning.
"Ah its ok, don't keep apologizing pabo ! Besides I was the one who agreed to go for kebabs."
By the mention of kebab , she suddenly stood up , remembering the reason she came here to wake Minsuh up.
"Well let's go for lunch ! I didn't even have breakfast yet ! Bitch I don't wanna miss it because of you". she said pulling her arm to drag her out of bed .
"Talking as if I've had breakfast..and I AM the injured one HERE ! "
She managed to speak out as she was thrown out of the room .
"Let me fix up my hair first ! "
"You look perfect !"
"I just woke up !"

The pair was still bickering while heading towards the hotel lounge .
"Ah you know ! While you were sleeping a really handsome man shifted on the room next to ours ."Lisa informed Minsuh, hitting their shoulders.
"Oh really ? " she asked, curious .
"Yeah and I managed to catch his name ."
"Ooooo What is it ?" Minsuh was now smiling sheepishly at her.
"Jihyuk."
"Oohh"
"I will get his number! surely!" she announced her first task in jeju island.
"
"Let's get this bread!" Minsuh said, encouraging her friend's silly behaviour
They both burst into giggles ,still walking their way.
"Also the professor told us that they'll take us to explore the Island in the evening but there's a technical problem, ifIthey don't solve it. We would have to go tomorrow.."
"Oh really, what prob-"
Minsuh's words came into an abrupt stop as her head crashed into someone's hard chest.
And due to her wounded ankle not being able to support the sudden weight, she was about to fall for the third time today, but the man caught her in time.
She was big startled by what just happened nevertheless she looked up to see him.
Her eyes widened widened at the sight.
