20 Chapter nineteen :)

The morning was unusually quiet, no one talking or laughing so loud it woke Harry up, no one discussing what to eat for breakfast or accidentally pulling his sheets away. It was just him on his own. He never thought that he would miss having the boys around.

Liam and Zayn already left to visit a girl named Gigi who seemed to be Zayn's girlfriend or at least something like that. Today was the day Harry and his mom will talk about their fight. He had protested on coming home so they agreed on meeting in a diner.

Harry was on his way to leave his room when his phone rang. He picked it up from the bedside table and immediately smiled as Louis' name showed up on the screen "Hello" The phone tugged between ear and shoulder.

"Hello, Harry uhm Harry Styles." Harry chuckled looking through his shirts. "I told you to stop calling me that." He secretly liked it but he would never admit that. "I know, but you're smiling so it was worth it." Louis' voice cursed goosebumps tracing down Harry's body. "Why are you calling?"

He took a dark grey long sleeve out holding it in front of his chest eying it in the mirror. "I wanted to make sure you are okay." Harry watched his own expression change. "Because of the meeting with your mom," Louis added like he would see Harry's questioning look. "Oh yes right. I'm okay I feel pretty good right now, to be honest."

He threw the shirt onto his bed and checked the denim drawer. "Now that's what I wanted to hear. And I was thinking if you may want to come over today and help me decorate." A smile grew on Harry's face, he loved decorating especially for Christmas. "Sure"

"Well, see you then Haz."

"See you then." Harry almost whispered lost in his thoughts. He hung up smiling like an idiot trying hard not to get too excited. He threw on the outfit he had chosen including a black beanie and got ready to leave.

The diner was about thirteen minutes away. Along the ride, Harry listened to one of Louis' mixtapes. It was pretty good it had songs from Coldplay over to oasis and back to the fray on it. The nervousness slowly came up as he stopped in the parking lot, but he remembered Louis telling him he could do it. It calmed him down a little.

Harry took a deep breath in and out before he entered the diner. It was the one he and his mom used to go to nearly once a week which was why he already knew where she must be sitting. He and Anne always took the table on the right side in the back it was the place with the best view.

As he passed the first tables he could already see her, she had her hair into a messy bun wearing a black cosy looking hoodie. Harry's heartbeat got faster as she looked up at him. "Hello, Hunny." Those words hurt, she used to call him that when he was younger.

A sharp pain went through his heart as he thought about how badly he missed her. "You wanted to talk," He said sharp sitting down across from her. She smiled. "Why are you smiling?" Her eyes sparkled the way they did every time she was going to tell him how proud she was of him. But that was years ago. "You look... different."

"Well. Tell me what you want to tell me so I can go." Harry played with his rings like every time he was nervous or he needed a reason to look down because he didn't want her to see the tears in his eyes. It hurt to talk to his mom like that but he this whole thing to pass as fast as possible. He couldn't look into her eyes without feeling the mixture of hate and sadness he hated so much.

"I'm worried about you, where have you been?"

"At a friend's house." He answered still starring at his hands "Listen I don't know what I did that you hate me so much you jus-" Anger built up in Harry at her words, he looked up throwing her a mad glance at her "You know exactly what you did." He spat.

"Don't start this again Harry I'm begging you." Her voice sounded hurt like she was the one suffering. Harry bit his lip so hard he tasted the salty taste of blood to keep his anger inside. "What I wanted to say is, I know that you won't come back home at the moment. And I can't make you, I know that so I just wanted to know if the people you are with are treating you right."

Harry knew if he would break and tell how much he hated her for not believing him again he would end up crying in his car, so he just swallowed his rage. "Yes, they do. I have my own room and bathroom. They are nice to me and they don't judge me for anything and-" Why was he even telling her all this?

"Do you need anything from your room like clothes or something?" Anne asked looking him deep in the eyes "No Louis went shopping with me."Harry looked down so his mom wouldn't see the little grin that appeared on his face as he said Louis' name.

"They seem to be good for you."

"I'm gonna stay with them," Harry said quietly as he looked up again. "I know. But I want you to know that I will always be there if you change your mind. And I hope you will stop hating me this much someday." Harry saw her eyes tear up. Suddenly he felt some sort of regret.

He just nodded so he wouldn't hurt her even more. "Was that all?" He clenched his teeth trying to keep his face as emotionless as possible. "One more thing before you leave." Harry watched a grin grow on her face. "Don't try to deny it." Harry frowned.

"I saw the way you smiled as you mentioned him." That was the last thing she said before she left the diner. No matter what happened between them, she always knew when he had a crush and she always gave him advice. It was like in old times. But she was right, every time.

"Lou?" Harry asked into his phone "Hey Haz." Louis answered at the other side of the line. "Where are you?" Harry was standing in front of Louis door, he already started shaking from the cold. "What do you mean? I'm at home." He sounded confused. "I've been ringing the bell like ten times and it's getting cold out here." Harry heard Louis laugh through the phone "Ugh, wait I will be right there." Then he hung up.

"I'm sorry the bell just stops working sometimes, pretty unfortunate huh?" Louis smiled as he let Harry in. "Yeah" Harry smiled back following Louis upstairs. The whole apartment looked like a mess. Boxes, cables, and packing paper all over the place. "What happened here?" Harry looked to Louis who scratched the back of his head.

"I didn't know how much we need so I asked everyone I know for some stuff." Louis looked really cute when he was blushing. Harry pulled his jacket off and threw it on the couch "Well then let's start" He walked over to the first box at the table and started unpacking it.

"How was the talk?" Louis asked carefully stepping on the ladder to fix the fairy lights above the window. Harry stood next to him trying to untangle the rest of the lights. "She was- weirdly nice to me." She was always nice to him that's why it was so hard talking to her, she just pretends everything was a lie and nothing had happened.

"She told me stuff like, she would always be there for me, but that isn't true she just tries to make herself feel better. But-" Harry stopped talking for a second trying to untie a huge knot. "But?" Louis asked looking down. "I- I don't know I kind of liked talking to her again like we did before- uh, you know?" He said quietly.

Louis just smiled softly. "And there is nothing wrong with that, you miss her, no matter how much you hate her." Louis was right, even tho what she did, even tho how much he tried to avoid it, he missed her. But he couldn't forgive her just like that.

Harry smiled at him, handing over the rest of the untangled fairy lights. "Here, I will go and get the ornaments." Harry walked over to the couch where Louis had put the tons of sparkling little ornaments and brought them over to the tree in the corner of the room.

As it started getting dark Louis put on some music and made them each a pizza. They ate it jumping and dancing along to the music until they had no breath left. "Okay we should really hang up the rest of the baubles now, it's getting late," Harry said gasping for air. The whole apartment was already covered in fairy lights and some glowing stars that hung down from the ceiling and because the blinds were closed they glowed even brighter.

That was the thing Harry loved the most about Christmas time, when a room filled with fairy lights lit up it just felt magical. Only the Christmas tree lights were missing to make it perfect. Louis put the rest of his pizza back on his plate and walked over to the tree. "You're right." He took one out of the five boxes they had bought and Handed it over to Harry. "Let's make it perfect." Harry gave Louis a wide smile.

An hour and a few songs later the whole tree was covered in glowing fairy lights, sparkling lametta, and hundreds of red and silver-coloured ornaments, and not to forget a huge golden star on top of it. "We did a pretty good job didn't we?" Harry said eyeing the tree proud.

"Well not yet." Louis opened a little brown box showing it to Harry. Inside it was a green and a blue bauble, the one Louis wanted and the one Harry dropped. "But they don't fit in."

"They don't have to fit in to look beautiful you know." Harry took the blue one out "That was deep" he said with a sassy undertone.

Harry and Louis sat on the floor in front of the tree drinking hot chocolate eying the tree it looked so beautiful, glowing in the dark. A song Harry believed its name was 'Take on the world' started playing as he looked at the blue and green ornaments hanging next to each other right under the star.

"It looks so beautiful."He turned to look at Louis but he was already looking at him, their eyes locked Louis blues looked so deep into his greens that it took his breath away. His heart skipped a few beats, it was deadly quiet just the song in the background. "Yes, it does," Louis whispered.

Harry couldn't stop looking at the orders boy's lips and wonder how they would feel like against his. He knew it wasn't right but he couldn't stop. Harry was just about to turn his head back as Louis closed the gap pressing his warm lips against Harry's. Goosebumps spread all over Harry's body, his fingertips started tingling and the butterflies in his belly got more and more.

Wait what was just happening? Harry pulled away and looked confused into Louis, not able to say anything. He was so overwhelmed by the situation. Louis expression changed "I- I'm sorry Haz I didn't meat to-" he whispered almost quiet Harry could feel Louis' breath on his lips. There was so much going on in Harry's head right now but the only thing he desired right now were Louis' lips on his again.

"Don't be sorry" He whispered back and pressed his lips against Louis again. Harry completely forgot about anything around him as he felt Louis' hand sliding up to the back of his head, his soft lips on his own. "You have no idea how long I waited for this," Louis whispered biting his lip, giving Harry his adorable sunshine smile.
