Loud booms rang through a valley in the military academy, a flaming red sword was clashing against a purple one, sparks and dust were flying about, as the swords kept clashing the dull flames on the red sword started getting brighter and hotter it was gaining momentum with the friction and sparks that was generated with each clash, nevertheless the purple sword was still standing its ground despite the others rising momentum, the red sword seemed to have accumulated enough momentum as it glowed brightly burning the air and came crashing down upon the already prepared and stable purple glowing sword. A loud boom rang through the whole valley as the earth cracked and dust flew everywhere, the dust dispersed to show kelvin holding a red sword pressed against Dracul who was holding a purple one.

It had been six months since they had arrived in the military academy, he and Dracul were selected as seeds by the military so they had better resources and more access to knowledge than other students, kelvin had thoroughly integrated into this world, apparently the military was more respected than nobles or civilians because of the fight against the mozu an alien race that wanted to occupy Eden, it is as a result of this that military service was compulsory for a time and students of the military school was exempt from circular struggles, when kelvin knew this he didn't hesitate to donate the shave method to the military, as a result he was known as a martial art technique genius so he was able to gain a seeded position in the academy. You see the reason those that awakened talents where so sought after was that they didn't need any laws and they could easily breakthrough to xiantain by relying on the talents while those that had no talents had to find enlightenment on their own and forged their own paths, this was harder than those who had talents already and could rely on them continuously evolving to get to higher stages, talents are basically like laws that have been innately engraved on the talented souls those without need to be enlightened and engrave their own laws on their souls, some with talents decide to dissolve their laws and re engrave them to one that suited their tastes more. Dracul and kelvin had chosen to do this, so before they broke through to xiantain they couldn't use their talents as easily they originally could, kelvin had dissolved his fireball talent and had already started rearranging his runes, if one could look at kelvin soul one wouldn't see squiggly lines or obtruse symbols like others instead kelvin had rearranged it to show a letter one could see an incomplete f flashing dimly there, it represented friction, since kelvin was originally from earth and knew a lot miscellaneous knowledge floating about the internet it was rather easy for him to enlighten himself on the laws of friction, although some of the knowledge he learned didn't translate well in Eden but most of them did and were enough for him to have the incomplete rune he had, as long as kelvin could find more rules of friction unique to Eden he would be able to advance to xiantain, kelvin wasn't intending to waste his talents on only friction he intended to accumulate other laws and inscribe his laws in the form of the word fire in his soul, kelvin was ambitious he wanted to be unpparaled and be hailed as a god of fire in Eden, although he could easily gain enlightenment in other cases they wouldn't be as easy as the ones he could gain in fire since his original talent was fire based, although kelvin wasn't yet sure what the other words in fire would mean, he wasn't worried because he still had a long way to go and since he already recognized his path it would save him a lot of detours.
