189 Short Story: Angel's Curiosity

[Emilia's Perspective]

I enjoy love dramas. As an angel, I am often too busy to have leisure time for entertainment, but ever since I am assigned to monitor Alevian, the former Archangel Alevian Michael Messiah, I've been met with ample time to do nothing. One day, while sitting around in my living room, I just happened to chance across a movie that was being played. Out of curiosity, I watched it just to discovered that it was oddly intriguing for me and hooked me.

I didn't understand what these humans were doing, pressing their lips together and staring into each other's eyes. Back then, nothing truly stood out to me about what they were doing aside from an odd curiosity that was in my heart. It was this curiosity that made me interested in love dramas.

Ever since God had...lifted some sort of restriction on me that Christmas Eve that Ralus had won the bet against him with, whenever I would watch these love dramas, I would feel...flustered. My face would become red whenever a scene of intimate interaction would come on, and my heart would rapidly beat as my mind subconsciously thought of Ralus's face.

As the two actors in the drama kissed, I pressed two fingers to my slightly agape lips as I stared at the monitor screen.

Why would I think of Ralus? I asked myself. Why is my body so hot right now?

I hugged even tighter onto the couch pillow in my arms, burring my chin into the soft pillow. My face was quite hot and red as I experienced an oddly familiar yet alien feeling in my chest. My heart rapidly pounded in my chest, and this foreign sense of anxiety started to swell in me.

Slowly, I looked down at the pillow that I held out before me. I glanced over at the television screen where the actors pressed their lips together and then back at the pillow. I took a deep breath and closed my eyes. Then, I started slowly moving my lips towards it until they gently pressed against it.

Slowly, I brought my face away from the pillow, frowning as I did not feel any different even after kissing the pillow.

Am I doing something wrong?

I then looked over at the television screen once again and saw that their kiss lasted a lot longer than mine and there seemed to be movements with the tongue as well. Maybe I should try that.

I took a deep breath once again and closed my eyes. Then, I brought my lips to the pillow, making contact for a longer period of time. After a while, I slowly stuck out my tongue through my lips for the pillow. Then—

The door suddenly opened as Ralus had returned home after heading out earlier in the day. I immediately froze in what I was doing and slowly turned my head over towards the front door to face him. On his face, there was a frown of disgust as he looked at me.

"What the hell are you doing?" he commented.
