1 Chapter 1

In the year 2046 mankind discovered a new energy source, it was called N.R.G. It was an acronym for Nurem Radiated Geothermal. What scientists discovered was that N.R.G was twice as powerful as uranium and didn't require as much preparation as previous energy sources clearly replacing the demand for any know fossil fuels.

After the world got word of the energy all the countries started to dig for it as where N.R.G was below the mantle of the earth. The world entered a new age of technology, where things what we thought was impossible now became possible. New medication able to fight deadly diseases, prosthetics which feel and work like real limbs now existed. It was truly the golden age of mankind, but then again nothing stays perfect forever.

The big countries started to build weapons with N.R.G and wanted to take control of other countries N.R.G deposits. Thus, began the war, countless men and woman fought in it for a number of years until the entire earth became a desolate waste land. The sheer amount of N.R.G released by the weapons and humans poisoned the very air. All of Humanity seemed doomed as there was almost no air to breath or land to use for foods, all seemed lost until the domes where built. The domes were giant cities built on tracks that was used by old railway tracks. The average dome is about the size of the entire New York so they built bigger rails to support the sheer tons of steel and glass, the rails were needed so that the domes can travel to new locations if there is an outbreak of radiation from N.R.G in the area. The shell of the dome protected the humans against all of the radiations but there was still some of It that could kill the humans. For a first time in a very long time, mankind had hope for the future. All the major countries or what was left of them decided to stop the war and just survive in the new world.

All seemed well until the earth threw a new challenge into the face of mankind. Their names where Raubtiers ,creatures created by N.R.G deposits infecting what little of an ecosystem there was left. These creature's features where that they had pure white skin and no hair on its body, as they walked on extremely long four legs and had extremely good senses. Humans didn't have a chance with them as they broke into the dome and ate any poor person that was in its sight.

The military finally decided to help after countless people had to die first. They made special weapons that can shoot N.R.G bullets and kill them or injure the Raubtiers. Mankind finally had an edge again. A few years had passed where peace was the norm again, they sent teams of soldiers to explore the desolate earth for supplies and place where the dome can stay. The Raubtiers where taken care of when they tried to attack the teams and got killed before they even touched them, but there was still domes that didn't have a strong military force and was prey to the creatures.

The domes got more advanced as time went on. Entire ecosystems where, forest, rivers and wild animals that existed before the Raubtiers infected everything was made in them. All was going well until the creatures evolved... The Raubtiers became giants, the size of a sky scraper and their entire structure changed, what was once white leathery skin was now blood red and had scales. The worst part is that they didn't have just one type anymore, no there where different types now.

Some were bulkier and stronger, whereas others are nimbler and faster. Mankind wasn't ready for these behemoths, countless domes got destroyed and the human population dropped again. Scientists tried to think of weapons that could kill the creatures but there wasn't any way of doing this. Humanity was on the verge of giving up until one man came along, his name was Professor Elliot Chasser. The man was a genius, he had made countless modifications to domes and made them better than any previous generations.

Everyone asked him what they must do to stop the creatures. With a shrug he said "Well if the world made monsters to kill us let's make our own monsters to kill them". With this statement the world's best minds worked together to make the Chasser project. Giant robots that could hunt the hunters and protect the domes.

The robot's core was made of pure N.R.G, fueling it as a battery started a radio. There was a problem though, yes, they had a core for it but what about the body to fight and hold the core. Countless days went by as they were stumped on what could hold the power of the N.R.G without destroying itself in one go, suddenly it hit Elliot , the Raubtiers where made of N.R.G and they survived, so what if they took the Skeleton of a behemoth Raubtier and used it to make the body of the robot supporting it with metal as if it was the muscle attached to the bone giving it a boost.

It was a success. The first ever Chasser was built but another problem arose. How would they be able to make it work? They needed someone to pilot it. So, they made an interface where the robot's main movement and actions were linked into the pilot's spinal column, the person acting like then brain telling the body what to do .To say it was a failure was an understatement, the pilot died within seconds as the robot's power was too much and to quick... It fried his brain and organs causing the entire cockpit to be sprayed blood red.

They were sad that the man died but didn't give up hope, they were going to make this work they had to. After many tries, they made it that it was a two-pilot system one pilot would control the top of the robot whereas the other pilot would control the bottom half of it. That way the energy isn't given to one person, it is split and that lets the power flow through them. Within a few years however, they figured out how to genetically modify humans so that only one pilot is needed for each Chasser but that is too far in the future right now.

After 10 years of working on it the Chasser it was done. The people were amazed seeing this giant metal beast walk out the hanger and out the dome standing guard. It was the first time ever functioning perfectly. The name of the robot was The Red Guillotine due to It being painted a rusted red color, but also because of the giant sword that was on its back. A class 4 behemoth was approaching the dome, it looked like a crocodile mixed with a gorilla pitch black hairy body with a reptilian maw puffing steam out when it ran on the ground, its code name was Mountain Eater.

The Chasser hasn't been tested in combat yet so they didn't know if it was all over for them. Both pilots were not scared though, they were known as the Gama brothers, they trained there asses off to pilot the Chasser and wasn't about to lose it, so they stood their ground protecting the people in the dome. The mountain eater charged forward and jumped up trying to smash Red but they quickly moved out the way. The ground couldn't help but give way to the sheer weight the behemoth had and made a big crater. The mountain eater climbed out of the hole and roared a mighty roar that shook all the glass in the dome. It charged forwards angry that it didn't crush the enemy causing massive booms to echo in the air as ran. Red guillotine was busy running low on energy as it wasn't ready for any battle so what movement it did drained a lot of power.

Seeing as they were about to lose all power and die both pilots floored it, charging towards the beast while taking their sword out and sliced downwards! Everything was quiet as they saw both behemoths where standing still... Suddenly the mountain eater roared one last time and fell down, orange blood flowing out of its gash on its chest. Red Guillotine raised its hand slowly as a Boxer did when they won a match, all the people in the dome cried out in happiness and joy. They finally had something to kill the behemoths

Mankind was finally back on track and this is where my story begins.
