1 Achieving Dream

Job : President Director of Dream Entertainment Inc.

New unknown diseases yet discovered for any treatment that could heal it nor relieve it. The virus corroded internal organ, could even cause brain damage. Possible of survive is unknown, live extent period can't preconcerted.

"I shouldn't be depressed by this!" Clearing my mind, I open the report of development progress. 'Even my life got shorten, I should succeed this project before I leave this world.'

"This progress is not bad, it only need a little bit more work and time... sadly I'm not confident for the time I have." Wearing a device that looks like a blindfold, I fall asleep and enter the dream world. In dream world there is a vast land of forest. Walking inside the forest, it really feel like hiking. Inside the forest there is a high cliff with waterfall. I dip my hands to water, drinking it then wash my face, the feel of freshness and relaxed is so amazing here.

In the water, I could see many fishes swimming around and fro. Averting my gaze, there are mesmerizing fruits. I couldn't help but to pluck and take a bite.

*Crunch... crunch...* I couldn't help again on how it taste, I could fell it filled my stomach.

I look to the cliff, wanting to climb it up. Even I'm already old, but in this world I feel like I'm young again. After sometime, I finally could reach the top. Feeling a bit fatigue, short breath and sweat all over my body. I almost couldn't believe, that is this really in dream...

At the top of the cliff, I saw a big statue like a frog while stabilizing my breath. The statue really look like a real frog.

'It not gonna move, right...'

*Swush* suddenly, what I fear the most happen. The statue moved, it turn to be a frog monster. It jump at me in incredible speed.

"WAAAA!" I surprised and fell from the cliff, but the frog's tongue succeed to catch me. By the time in frog monster's mouth, I woke up from dream. The feeling of saliva covered up my body, still fresh in my mind. It really disgusting, but to think all of it... I couldn't stop my self to let out a voice.

"FASCI~!" but before I could finish my word, my secretary come and say.

"President, you should come and see this for your self."

"Alright, let's go!"

By the time I reach the research facility, I saw some employees are sleeping and some are monitoring. There are screen that show what they experiencing in dream world. From the screen I could see an item come out of nowhere and a transparent window pop up when they lift their arm and seeing their wrist.

The secretary seam to be waiting for me to say something. But I keep observing on how employees are monitoring. after awhile, finally the secretary let out a voice.

Secretary: "President, aren't we seam almost ready for publication?"

"Hmm, but not quite. The image show on the screen of their experiencing inside the dream world are fuzzy. To hook more mass, the image quality should be high definition... Tell me more about those new devices and what your plan on publicize."

Secretary: "The image quality are differ by the dreamer and how stable the dream world at that moment. And these new devices are smart dream watch and smart dream ring. The watch could show any information the dreamer want to know as long the information stored in the server and the device it self and It could also act as the portable storage. For the ring it act as fast small portable storage..."

"Great! could the storage function be applied in this world?"

Secretary: "No, the base technology is to materialize information data to something. Since we were able to connect our data server to that big ancient artifact that seam act as dream world server/source. We tried this possibility and surprisingly succeed." She said that with excitedly tone and face could be seen then continue. "We plan to invite the most popular actor and actress this year to be MC and tester. For preparation and make sure everything on the line, we could set the date for grand event a month from now."

"Good." But after said that, the secretary seam uneasy. "Are there any problem."

Secretary: "There are no major problem, but there are some minor problem. The actor and actress should undergo test first, we don't want to show the public a blurry image. It might be a bit off schedule to find approximate time for contract and test. We also not really sure about the capability of the dream world."

"We don't really need them, just use our already contracted actors and actresses. Also we don't need to catch a big fish with a might be fragile fishing rod. We start publicize in this small country first then slowly move to the whole world. With this we could monitor the capability of the dream world, monitor it's performance, quality, security and safety."

Secretary: "Yes, Mr. President. But when our latest game faded its luster, our actors and actresses popularity also gradually declining."

"hmmm... Make some in-game events with great prize that capable to blind them. And also, aren't our branch work in musical entertainment? There should be many boy-band and girl-band there, carefully select the best candidate for up-coming event and start advertising."

Secretary: "Right, we do as President wish and start advertising right away."

The secretary start to take action, while I plan to go back to my office. But after some step, I feel like my strength leaving my body and I fall unconscious. I could hear my secretary calling me that slowly faded.

In spacious bedroom there is a luxury big bed, on the bed an old man lying unconscious and seam to be a middle aged woman sitting at the edge of the bed.

The old man is tall and a bit masculine, although his a bit bald on the front and almost all his hair turn gray.

The woman really look younger than her age, no wrinkles could be seen on her face. Her body also still slender in proportion as tall asian woman with black but a bit brown eyes and Duchess type nose. She dyed her straight but a bit curly at the end hair dark brown to red. She is the old man's wife that like to wear all white.

There is another woman standing while looking at the old man. She had a long straight black hair, black eyes and celestial type nose. She wearing a glasses, white shirt with black blazer a black skirt and stocking. She is the secretary and she almost as tall as the male doctor standing beside her after he checking the health of the old man. Then the doctor said.

"For now he just need to rest. These special liquid could help clean the blood an hopefully it could hold the virus. I will Inform the nurse that will take care of him and I should take my leave then."

Wife: "Wait, is there really nothing you could do?"

Doctor: "I'm, sorry miss. This disease is really rare and new to the whole world. Not even surgery could heal him, but our pharmacy still try out their best to find solution."

Wife: "I see. Well, you don't need to inform the nurse, just inform the maid here." Then she said to the secretary "Lea, please lead him to maid's quarter then escort the him out." Finding it hopeless, she couldn't help but to hug her unconscious husband and cry while saying "Why... why you not tell me any of this sooner? Are you really going to leave me so soon forever?"

Most of the maids receive nursery training for the purpose of emergency treatment to any accidents for company and household.

After sometime the secretary finally back to bedroom, seeing the wife crying she try to leave doesn't dare to disturb. But, the wife say in anger

"Trying to leave? COME HERE!" The secretary walk in while a bit tremble, only to hear the wife continue "Did you know something about this?"

Secretary: 'Seam she was angry cause she don't know anything about the sickness' looking straight to the wife and say "I don't, Mrs. President. I only know that Mr. President eager to finish this project fast and successful. The reason behind, I don't really know. We are to busy in wanting to finish this project while thinking that we could be the first company that produce this kind of technology."

Wife: "What kind of project?"

Secretary: 'Ahh right, she also don't know about the project. She been busy dealing with company's other problem. Mr. President are you in secrecy or don't have the time to tell your wife... But I'll be the first person who tell your wife. Even though you not forbid me to tell your wife, I'm sorry and please don't be angry.' Moving the gadget, a screen suddenly appear showing every detail about the project. "The Project name is 'Dream World Online' the dreamer that connect to dream world could play and fully control their avatar inside the dream world by thought. We already reach the stage where we are ready for publication and beta test. In next month we will schedule the event in this small country."

Wife: keep looking on the screen "What? in next month? isn't that to fast?... wait... this kind of work... even if he not in sickness, in his age he could instant dead from exhaustion... this project, if something goes wrong.. it would crumble to nothingness and the impact could make the whole company collapse." Looking sharply at her husband "Did he planing to make me got heart attack that could make me died in shock? Without knowing anything at the first hand..."

Secretary: "Knowing Mr. President personality, I believe that not what he planed. He regard life a life to the fullessness, every moment is important to him. So i believe, Mr. President don't want you to be worried about him. And Mrs. President please be at ease, we already minimize every possibility of something goes wrong."

Wife: "Right, it seam everything already taken care off."

Secretary: "Since Mr. President is in coma state, here the list of order Mr. President want us to do."

Wife: "Alright I'll look in to it."

Secretary: "Then I'll be back to the office."

Wife: Looking at the wristwatch "It's already late, you can stay here and start again tomorrow."

Secretary: "Ahh right." Said while smiling awkwardly, her gaze lock to the tube that almost empty. changing it to new one then left the room, entering a guess room.

The wife still focus on the screen, studying it and after awhile she look on to her husband in daze wondering will her husband wake up tomorrow... There many things she want to talk about with him. Then say "Don't you dare dying on me like this!"
