3 Chapter 2
Astle's seriously look at the person in front of her who is savoring stake he is eating. She couldn't force herself to join because of what she finds out about her brother. He's alive. That's enough for her to be happy. She thought all her family was dead but her brother is still alive and was only captured by those man in black suit.
“What you told was real right?”
Hid just nodded to Astle while still focus on his food.
"Eat first, let's talk about that later."
Astle can’t stop smiling. She vigorously took the fork and the table knife to slice the stake served to them.
They are currently in the garden of the white mansion where she was brought. It is owned by someone named Hid Samonte and based on her observation he is not just an ordinary rich person. His job is that of a Police Officer which is hard to believe on her part because the salaries of the police are not that high to have such vast land and if he is an heir, what is the true background of his family?
Hid stopped eating. He take a tissue and wipe the edge of his lips. He folded his two palms and turned to Astle who was still staring at him.
“You’re curious about me, don’t you?”
Astle nodded at him.
“Well I’m just Hid Samonte, A Police officer.”
“I don’t believe you. I can't say it directly but I know you are different. You’re not just rich."
Hid laughed because of what she said. She did really hit the spot. Hid quitted for a moment before looking at Astle seriously.
“You’re really sharp Astle.”
“I know,” her sarcastic response to him.
Hid smirked and stood up from his chair. He walked away in front of her and entered inside the mansion. Confused by Hid's behavior, she just shrugged her shoulders and continued eating.
Hid returned with a white envelope. He handed it to Astle. She was curious to open it. Astle first laid it down on the curtain of his vacant seat. She take some tissue and wipe her lips and fingers.
“What’s this?”
“Documents,” Hid's sparingly response.
Astle opened it. A birth certificate in the name of Kianna Samonte and an Agreement with her name below.
“Kianna Samonte?”
Surprisingly Astle turned his gaze to Hid. She lifted the document she was holding.
"What does this mean?"
She was no longer a child to not understand what Hid wanted to happen. He was planning to change her identity and she didn’t like it.
“Look Mister Samonte, I truly thank you for saving my life and for telling me that my brother is alive but that is not enough for you to have the right to change my identity"
Astle dropped the Birth Certificate along with the Agreement on the table and annoyed to stand up.
“I don’t plan on changing your identity Astle, just your name.”
"It's still the same, don't make a fool of me."
“This is for your own safety Astle.”
Astle shook her head and raised her hands as she walked back and forth.
“You wanted me to replace her, right?”
He averted his gaze from her but even before that it did not escape Astle to see the anger in his eyes. Astle was even more wondered, she’s so sure that it was his pure intention to save her, she saw and felt that or was she wrong? Does the man want anything else in her?
He cupped his palm. The color of her eyes changed spontaneously that even her did not even notice. She closed her eyes and calmed herself. She feels intense anger, it seemed out of control and almost as if she was about to explode but as the colors of her eyes return back to normal also the intense angered she just felt faded away.
She looked back at Hid. Whatever his motive to shelter her, she will also use it to find and save her brother.
“Tell me everything Hid so I can help you,” she finally gave up.
If she had to pretend and be submissive she would. She knew that the man would use her in any plan so she would do the same, even if she loses her identity, she will exchange it just to see his brother again.
Hid was surprised by what Astle said. He was stunned for a few minutes before everything sank into his mind. He already knows that Astle already gets it all, his motive and what it wants to happen so he wasted no more time and he told Astle everything.
Hid narrated all about his daughter’s case, and in connection with the death of his daughter to the organization that also killed Astle’s parent. Hid also told all about the White Clans mission, its membership and the reason why they were unable to overthrow the Black Organization.
Everything about the White Clan is new to Astle, which is another group that is obstructing the plans of the entire black organization. Yet it is well known to her what the Black Organization is. Something that no matter how hard she tried, it will be forever stamped in her heart and mind.
Astle cupped her fist. She felt extremely angry again. The organization who ruined her life and killed her parents, they deserve to be destroyed.
Astle blinked twice. She Look into another direction.
"Then you want to use me to enter the enemy's den?"
Hid nodded even though Astle didn't see him because she's looking in other direction.
"And how confident are you that they won't catch me and kill me?"
An emotion flashed across Hid's dead face again. He grinned at her.
“Because you have something they need Astle.”
Astle's forehead furrowed as his eyes went to the smiling Hid.
He can see the change in Astle's eye color. His grin widened even more.
He was not mistaken. She will lead him to victory. Astle who is like them will be the cause of the downfall of the whole organization.
“What are you saying Hid?”
Hid shakes his head. He stood up and walked closer to her.
“You will be the new Kianna Samonte, my daughter and my heir.” he touched her on the shoulder.
“In exchange of your brother’s whereabouts.”
He turned to Astle and held out his right palm.
“Deal!” Astle replied before glancing at Hid's grin again as if it meant something else.
She sighed as Hid left in front of her. Astle is left alone in the Garden while are still trying to process the agreement with Hid. Did she really make the right decision? Is it right for her to trust him?
Even though she wasn’t sure, she still wanted to gamble. She would do anything just to find her brother, just knowing that her twin is alive is enough to give her courage. She'll just confront and confirm everything later that everything Hid said to him was true.
“Ash, I’m coming to save you.”
