1 Walking Up Only To Pass Out Again

(Where am I?)

Gaining consciousness I saw nothing around me just an empty space.

"Oh, such a shame"

(Who said?!?!)

I called out to whoever said those words but something told me the other side didn't receive my words.

Instead what appeared in this empty space was three individual flames. A small pure white flame surrounded by a bigger light blue flame, and pitch-black flame attacking the light blue flame causing both the light blue and pure white flames to dim slowly.

"It seems the two soul fragments are battling it out inside your body. There's a corrupted soul fragment trying to take over your body, another soul fragment trying to prevent that. Then there's your soul caught up in the middle taking on the after-effects of the conflict. Considering how weak your soul is this must be giving my mind one hell of a beating."

(What is this!?!? I don't understand what's going on!!!)

"Honestly you're in luck kid," The voice said once again ignoring my question, "If it was someone else they would have left you to your fate and if that happened you would've died no doubt about that. Lucky for you I like to mess fate, you know bring in a few enigmas into worlds here and there as a way to make things more interesting."

(What are you talking about?!?!)

"Let's see this world's fate has you dying through the use of soul destruction from a foreign soul, damn that's cruel... I don't like that ending I have a feeling you'll be able to entertain me, so as an investment for the future I'll help you out this one time."

At this point, I couldn't even muster up the words to ask the mysterious voice. It was like the dimmer the pure white flame became the harder it was to think. In this condition, all I could do was "look" at the black flame slowly overwhelm the other two flames.

*Swoosh**Swoosh**Swoosh*

With each attack getting faster and faster I felt that the end was near... but before the black flame could win its fight something strange happened. Before I knew it the empty space around me lit up with a rainbow-colored light. This light overwhelmed the black flame leading it to lose its previous ferocity leaving behind a loud vengeful yell as it was engulfed by the light blue flame and then in turn absorbed into the pure white flame. At this point, the pure white flame grew three times its former size as it was surrounded by the rainbow light that encompassed the space around it.

"There we go," The voice said, "I've done my part kid, now it's your job to give me a good show. Helping out wandering or distressed souls is more of a pastime of mine so I don't really need any thanks but if you ever want to find me, my people call me *** Genesis *******. That'll be my only clue for you, but considering how young your soul is I doubt you'll remember any of what's happened here, but hey you may be able to surprise me who knows."

Unable to process any of the Voice's words all I could do was "stare" into the rainbow light because once the pure white flame increased in size my mind seemed to have stopped working entirely.

"Now this has been fun, but I should really get you on your way," The voice said as the space around me began to fade away into darkness, "Before you go I'll leave with some words of advice; while I did this mostly for my own amusement, never forget to live life as you see fit. A life you don't enjoy is not a life worth living."

With that, I lost both my consciousness as well as my memories of what happened in the empty space.

=====================

"Argh"

Walking up with a sharp headache I brought my hand to head trying to endure the sharp pain in my head. Unfortunately, my headache only seemed to hurt more as time went on. Sprawling over the floor I tried to endure the pain but it was like something or someone was having a full-on war inside and my mind was the battlefield.

"AAHHHHH!!!!"

Eventually, I started to shout at the top of my lungs as the battle seemed to have spread throughout every corner of my mind. Pain upon pain upon pain started to bombard my mind as if trying to kill me and it felt like it was working. Feeling as if my mind was going to explode my body started to spasm since the pain had risen to the point where I can't even let any sound leave my mouth.

(Make it stop!!!)

Shouting those words repeated in my mind in a continuous loop, unfortunately, I received no response until the pain mysteriously faded away rapidly as if it never even existed. What came next was flashes of images of places I've never been to and lines upon lines of words and texts I couldn't understand.

While the pain might have gone away, what came after was a lingering feeling of confusion due to being unable to know where this information came from, and a deep feeling of relief from finally being rid of the monstrous sense of pain.

"Haa~Haa~Haa"

Out of breath, I tried to stand up only to be hit both with a sudden wave of dizziness as well as various vibrations coming from the ground below me, causing me to fall to the ground once more.

"Calm down little one, you should take things one step at a time."

"!?"

Shocked I ignored the Voice's advice, jumped to the side instinctively ignoring my previous dizziness, and looked in the direction of the voice behind me with blurred vision.

"...!!"

What I was greeted with once my vision cleared up was the sight of a DRAGON!!!!!

(And~ Down we go~)

Feeling as if reality had become too dangerous and confusing, my body, mind, and soul seemed to have agreed to leave the world of reality for the safety of the world of dreams as a way to recover my already damaged mental health.
