2 Chapter 1 - Smell of death...
Location: Abandoned factory
Year: 20xx/xx/xx
As night approached, the abandoned factory of Xi Corporation was quite except for the creepy sounds of animals. A faint but heavy breathing as of a human is heard in the darkness.
This factory has been closed down for years but the woman's appearance said otherwise.
If one looked closely, they would see a horrifying scene of a beautiful woman lying in a pool of blood. Her white dress and the red blood made stark contrast making the scene much more ghastly.
In the serene atmosphere, only heavy breathing of the injured woman is heard. Blood gushed out from her stomach taking her life as it flowed. This is a deserted place with no living soul in vicinity to help her from this predicament.
She slowly grew weak. Just as she was about to give up her life, lightning struck the factory burning everything in its path, roaring in anguish.
Next morning, the world is in chaos over the news stating that the young heiress of the Xi corporation, Alina Xi, who took over the company 3 years ago, suddenly died in the abandoned factory of the Xi Corp.
Her death was a mystery. But her sudden death as well as the sudden bankruptcy of her uprising company made suspicions rise about the cause but no one dwelled on it as the force behind the incident was too strong.
During her death, Alina Xi thought that by divorcing that man and leaving them alone, she would have her freedom. What joke was that!
Not only was she not given her freedom, she was also isolated from the world and was betrayed constantly.
It took her seven years to realise that she was living with snakes and not humans.
In the last 3 years before her death, she tried to resolve every mistake she has done, but the damage was too big for her to fix in the short time of period.
Ah! what a fool she was! She has always have been a fool by trusting wrong people blindly.
There was never a day where she could truly trust someone, love someone. Since every person would backstab her or abandoned her.
They never once thought of leaving her alone. All they ever thought of was destroying her. She didn't know what sin she has committed.
She was really a pathetic soul, a disgrace to humanity. Despite being a genius, her brain never worked efficiently when it came to judging others character. And she let others use her until she became dry fish.
It took her seven years to realise that human world has always been about the survival of the fittest, fastest and smartest.
But she never had the chance to be either, so, all she could blame was herself for being born in a ruthless world.
They never liked to see her happy, as if her happiness was an eyesore to them.
Since young her parents told her that her existence was a curse and she believed them.
She avoided them and closed herself from others. This lead to being indifferent and naive in worldly affairs. And this, also allowed people to take advantage of her introvert personality, brutally destroying her dream and ambitions.
Taking everything from her wasn't enough for them. They destroyed her grandparents precious baby, the Xi Corporation, yet she couldn't do anything. All she did was sit and watch as they devoured everything.
No, that wasn't enough for them. They had to crush her pride, strip her dignity.
Maybe her foolishness brought her to this end.
She came to this abandoned factory to get some information about her grandparents' death. But she was surrounded as soon as she arrived. Since she came alone without protection and bodyguards, she was helpless against those masked men.
They stabbed her ruthlessly. She knew who they were and who orchestrated this, but she can't do anything. She knew this is her end.
As her life force drained, she reminisced about people she trusted. But they left her disappointment.
Her own family didn't care about her, they only cared about their younger daughter.
She, Alina Xi was a disgrace to her family. Her birth was a curse to them.
They not only abandoned her but let her so called sister marry the man she was married to. She felt disgust every time she thought about it.
She wanted to scream, shout, take revenge, but she was too tired. Utterly exhausted.
All she wanted was to live her life peacefully. She didn't want to be ignorant but people forced her to be.
What else can she do?
The people she loved and cared about easily betrayed her, leaving her alone in the world of bitterness.
Even in her death, people were mocking her, stabbing her to death.
Ah! what was she thinking? They never once cared about her. After all she was the Ex Madam Li and the dead daughter of Xi. She was indeed a misfortune who her mother hated.
It was still unknown as to why her mother hated her so much. She never harmed anyone. And always kept to herself. If she regretted anything before dying, that was getting married, being indifferent to everything and letting others play with her.
If only was she given a second chance and to turn back time, she would never allow others to walk all over her. She will love herself the most. So what if others didn't love her? It's okay as long as she loved herself. That's all that matters.
As Alina thought through, her beautiful deep blue eyes shed tears, while her pale lips formed a beautiful smile.
She thought, there was no such thing as second chance. Hence, she should just stop such thoughts.
She didn't know how she died as her conscious slowly faded. All she saw was lightning strike and thunderclap resound throughout the factory before she closed her eyes.
Her body ached as she lay in a pool of blood, thinking maybe it's for the best.
