"This must be it." Professor Kal said, palming the large, iron padlock hanging from an also metal clad door.

The door was set inside a robust looking metal frame, which was itself set inside a small shed, only ten feet deep and five feet wide. The roof of the shed-like building was slanted toward the rear of the building, to lowest part only four feet off the ground. The building itself didn't seem capable of housing more than two people comfortably, but, if the maid could be trusted, this was the entrance to the subterranean dungeon of the Royal Palace.

"Professor, I'm freezing, can you open it already?" Ben said, his teeth chattering so violently they were liable to break.
