20 Give me all the precious!

With his business finished in the library, Dix decided to visit the wolf pup and get something to eat. He found it and the clone responsible for it near the temporary camp that was set up at the scene of clashing titans. The clone has already buried the carcass of the mother wolf, and was playing with and teaching the pup. Dix waited for them to finish, then dispersed the clone, and summoned another one right away. This was important because the previous clone was summoned way before Dix found any knowledge about dogs. Now as he read quite a few books about them, when he summoned another clone, he would be able to use that knowledge and help the wolf grow into a strong companion.

Before moving out, he wanted to know whats the gender of the wolf. With his new knowledge he was able to discern that it was a she, a dark furred beautiful female wolf. By knowing this he was able to give an actual name to her, which, after a bit of thinking, became 'Yami', the Japanese word for 'dark'.

With that done, the clone grabbed Yami with two hands. Both Dix and the clone then started running towards the permanent camp. Even though they went only half the maximum speed they can, the puppy still let out some chilling yelp, which made them half their speed once again. They were running at around twice the speed of an Olympic medalist, which still let Yami breath and look around as they rushed trough the forest, but also let them arrive to their destination in a sensible time.

When they got there the original kept running to find another big animal so they can have a hearty meal, while the clone just put down the puppy and started playing with her. In around 10 minutes another boar was found, hunted and taken back to the camp. Dix summoned many clones to start working on getting the lunch ready. After they had their fill the original moved away from the clone and Yami, and started the afternoon exercises.

He only had time for a single 4 hour session both in the morning and afternoon, because two of them would never actually fit in his schedule. But it was better this way, he was able to get home without having to rush and was also able to spend some time in the village. He was eager to get back to the orphanage, as his money was supposed to arrive by now. He needed quite a few things. When he arrived back to his room there was a big unfamiliar briefcase on his table. He was excited to open it, like a real kid at Christmas, when he sees the huge box under the tree and wants to open it right away.

It was as he thought, when he opened it he found a note on top of a huge load of neatly arranged money. The note was from the Third, he wanted to make sure Dix spends the money responsibly. He also wrote down some tips, like he shouldn't carry all of it at once, he should make sure he spends as much on an item as its worth etc. Dix already knew these so he just threw the paper away, and grabbed some of the money. He rushed out right away to check on the best stores he found. First he went to a store where he was able to buy huge amount of scrolls and chakra receptible ink. He placed an order and asked the shopkeeper to deliver it to the orphanage.

He needed to transport a lot of items later on, so he entered another shop and bought a huge traveling backpack. It looked quite funny on him, as it was as big as himself, but he didn't care, just paid the price and left. Now he headed towards the village's mortician. There was only one right now, because of the peace. It was a man that looked like any stereotypical pedophile in his previous world, but in reality, the way he behaved and spoke gave Dix a feeling that he's just a good-hearted, but lonely old man. Anyway, he wanted to ask about organ preservation.

The mortician didn't think a 4 years old child would have any ulterior motives, he even looked funny with the huge backpack on his back, so he was more then happy to speak about his profession to someone who is interested. Dix got to know that if the mortician is requested to preserve the organs of a costumer, then he orders some special solution and hermetically sealing storage units from the same shop at the edge of the village. He even told him the process he usually goes trough to make sure the organs stay in a good shape. Dix wanted to look really thrilled, and asked the man nonchalantly if he could tell him which shop is this, as he was interested and wanted to check on it himself. The old man still didn't think there is anything behind it, so he just told him the address and even gave directions. When Dix got what he wanted he said his farewells and left immediately.

After a bit of search he found the shop, it had a sign on its front which read simply 'General Store'. Inside he found a really old haggard and short woman. She must've been around 60-70, and she had a constant frown on her face. When he noticed who entered she shouted out loud.

"Get in ya little kid, what can this ole' girl do for you?" and with that she started coughing and visibly sweating like she was on her deathbed. After the coughing died down she spit out whatever came up from her throat into a nearby larger tin can. It sounded like a gunshot. This reminded him of some old western movies he had seen back when he was alive. This put a smile on his face, so he managed to cheerfully say his greetings to the woman.

"I was redirected here by the village's mortician, as I am interested in some experiments and I need a few stuff for it. I was told I can find whatever I need here." Dix said. At this the woman's eyes rolled around signalling she doesn't give a damn.

"Look kid, I don't care whatcha doin', as long as you pay for the goods." she said. By now Dix's smile withered to nothing, as he pulled out a stack of money to show the woman he is an actual costumer. Her dead eyes seeing the money came back to life and was glowing with happiness, and mostly greed.

"I see, I see, haha, come along now and do tell this ole' girl whatcha need." she said with an inviting gesture. Dix looked around a bit before saying a list of specific items. The woman's eyes were a bit wide by the end, but without any hesitation she went to the back of the store she brought out what was ordered. Four small empty tanks and a bigger container that was probably full, considering the woman was struggling under the weight. When everything was present he looked straight into Dix's eye with a smile.

"Now this will be 15.000 ryos, kid." hearing the price Dix had some anger welling up in his eyes. This woman was obviously trying to take him for a fool. These didn't cost so much, he knew, as he was sure to ask it from the mortician. Even considering something like a 'regular customer bonus', which he thought an old greedy woman like this one would never give, the price was way too much. But he didn't act on impulse, just contemplated for a few seconds.

"Well, this is a bit too expensive, isn't it? Not like I'm not complaining, rather I see it as supporting the elderly. I'll take it." he said, as he put the money down on the counter and started packing the stuff into his backpack. The woman was the angry one now, she was the one who wanted to trick the kid, and even got the money, but she felt defeated nonetheless. She was annoyed, but there wasn't any place for her to retreat to by now, as she was the one to say the price. She just watched as the kid took the goods, then said a curt farewell and went back to reading an old-looking book.

Dix too was annoyed, but he still had quite some money so he just put up with it and went on his way. By the time he got back to the orphanage curfew time was closing in, and the ordered scrolls were all delivered too. They were orderly stacked up in his room, there was so much they covered one of his walls completely. He had enough materials for studying seals, and he also got the items he needed for the event. That would be the next major thing happening, and was already connected to the story of Naruto deeply. He wanted to finish a lot of projects fast, because he was working on a time limit. He had to prepare in time for the event which will happen approximately 4 years later. It is the infamous massacre of the Uchiha clan.
