Pearls of tears dripped down Su Ya's tender cheecks and fell a upon the usual pink blades of grass on the ground. The 20 years old young girl looked absolutely miserable.
Her beatiful long brown hair was messy and cluttered. Her big and round cute eyes were filled heartbroken tears. Her dress was in tatters exposing most of her body except for the important parts. The tender skin on her arms and legs was bruised and full of harsh scars.
Her current state is very wretched and pitiful, no better than a poor begger. But she is no mind to care about her appearance. At the moment she is kneeling on the ground and crying her heart out in helplessness and desperation.
Beside her was a young man whose state of life or death is unknown. His body condition was much much worse than her. There were 2 large bloody holes on his back. Fresh blood was continuously seeped out of them. His face was pale and his breathing was faint, like a flickering flame on a candle that might disappear at any moment.
"It's- It's all my fault. If only.. if only I didn't meet you, you would have been fine. All because of me.. Brother Shen- Shengjie-..."
As Su Ya looked at his pale face, she couldn't help but sob loudly and blame herself. Tears continuously flowed down her face and rained upon the grass.
"General, there! It seems to be them."
A hoarse voice came from afar. Through her blurry gaze, she could see a bunch of familiar figures coming nearer and nearer. Knowing she knew that her death is coming, she still didn't react. Ignoring them, she continued to sob.
As the dozen or so armed men walked closer, the sight of the unconscious bloodied young man made their heart sink.
"Bitch, tell me what did you do to our prince?"
The burly man at the front who was holding a long spear cursed Su Ya agitatedly. His cultivation is Body Strengthening Realm 9th stage, the highest among them. He was a general of Fierce Tiger Kingdom.
There was a reason for his agitated reaction. The order of the king of to kill the commoner bitch who seduced their prince and bring him back alive.
Shi Shengjie was the sole prince of Fierce Tiger kingdom. Boasting the strength of Body Strethening 8th Realm just at the age of 21, he was hailed as a genius in the Kingdom. He is the future hope of the kingdom. If anything happen to him, there is no way the king will let them alive.
Su Ya didn't react at all, further provoking the general's anger.
"General Ye, prince's injuries. They seems like they were caused by a strong Grade-1 or even a Grade-2 Demonic Beast."
A scar-faced man beside the burly general whispered slowly.
"Strong Demonic Beasts? Shouldn't they exist deep inside the forest instead at outer edges?"
General Ye, the burly man showed a doubtful expression.
Demonic Beasts are the creatures that cultivates Demonic energy. Demonic energy and Spiritual energy are same. It's just that when the beasts absorbs it, the Spiritual energy becomes more voilent. So it was called Demonic Energy.
In the Past, Dark God Forest used to be filled with terrifying Demonic Beasts. But when the Continent's experts ventured deep into the forest searching for the rumoured secret, they killed most of the strong Demonic Beasts.
Now only Grade-1 Demonic Beasts, similar to human's Body Strengthing Realm and Grade-2 Demonic Beasts, similar to Qi Condensation Realm exist in the forest. They too normally live deep inside the forest, not at the outer edges.
"This.. I'm not sure, General. I used to be a hunter in the past. I am sensitive to Demonic Beast's aura. On the way I sensed lot of dangerous auras. but I ignore it thinking it was my misconception. But now looking at prince's condition, I'm sure of it. Though I didn't know why so many demonic beasts are lingering at the outer edges. It was indeed unusual."
The scar-faced explained.
General nodeed his head and turned his head to Su Ya.
"Let's just hope the king will listen to our explanation. At least the prince is not dead yet. Who knows he might make it if we bring him back in time. As for this little whore,"
"All this mess is her fault. Stupid bitch, find someone of your status in next life."
laughing coldly, he brandished the spear in right hands towards the back of the kneeling Su Ya.
As the sharp tip of spear thrusted forward, sensation of death and dread rose in Su Ya heart.
She didn't move, shout or panic. Calmly closing her eyes, she waited for the eventual liberation.
May be death might be a relief than living in guilt and self blame in future?
"Hey, trying to kill a lady in my territory? Aren't you people a bit presumptuous."
