Prodigy (KnbxOc)

It was the first day of high school and precisely in Teiko middle school where a lot of kids were experiencing their first day. Thanks to that occasion a lot of clubs tried to attract attention from the first years to get them to join. In the middle of the crowd, there was a boy tall 1.68 meters (5'5") with long dark Grey tied hair that arrived at his stomach and eyes that weren't visible, was walking furtively without touching even the slightest anyone, our protagonist goes by the name Ankoku was going towards the welcoming area to get in time to the welcome ceremony and get to see which class he was in as he was too lazy to check before hand. Just as Ankoku was evading another person, a boy shorter than him appeared out of nowhere making him slam against Ankoku who flinched at the sudden contact and stayed still.

The boy had light blue hair and eyes and was tall about 1.55 m (5'08") under the average height of his age, probably a first year like Ankoku. Blue eyes looked slightly up to see who he went against only to be met with long untied and messy hair on the front that prevented eye contact with the other person.

"um... Sorry I didn't mean to slam against you"

"My bad..."

Ankoku began walking again he was heading in the same direction but unlucky for Ankoku he banged on a dark blue-haired tan boy tall 1.75 m (5'9") that turned his attention from the pink-haired girl next to him while scowling and looking at Ankoku.

"My bad wasn't paying attention 'cause of this girl"

"Hey! What do you mean it's my fault!"

"Well for starters you've been babbling around for the past hour and we got ourselves lost!"

Ankoku looked at the two people fighting in front of him and with a tired sigh, he decided to help the two who he supposed were friends, at least he wouldn't be lonely these three years hopefully.

"...if you are looking for the building where the opening ceremony will take place I know where it is"

"Seriously! Thanks, man saved my life from her babbling"

"Wha- never mind anyway thank you for your help I'm Satsuki Momoi and this big kid here is Daiki Aomine"

" I'm Amano Ankoku nice to meet you"

"So Amano-Kun are you thinking about joining some club ?"

"Ah please just use my name and I'm going to join the basketball team I heard that this school has a powerful team even if it's really rigid, what about you two ?"

"Wow, what a coincidence! I'm also going to join the basketball team and I'm also searching for a rival are you good at basketball?"

"I just started playing last summer so I don't think I'm good at it"

"As for me I'm planning to join as a manager so let's get along these three years"

As the three were chatting they arrived at the building and searched for a seat, after a while a lot of people walked in and took a seat and everyone went silent when a bald man, the principal walked onto the stage making his speech, he welcomed everyone and said the usual things and after him on the stage walked the representative of the first years who got a high mark on the entry test. He was a short guy tall 1.58 m (5'2") with red hair and red eyes, but Ankoku noted even from the distance he was sitting that one of the eyes of the boy was slightly orange.

"Welcome to all the new students. This will be the beginning of our middle school years, the years where we will learn, study and enjoy our youth to the fullest. Of course, studies are the most important thing here and as you see I was the one who got the first spot but don't Surrender to this fact as there will be other opportunities to get to the top, and if studies aren't for you you can still discover your ability in other areas. I wish all of you luck and a good year"

Ankoku POV

'That was one hell of a speech...'

"Dudeee could have spoken longer! seriously though what's wrong with it like just say have a good year and done!?"

"Well for starters Dai-chan not everyone is like you!"

The two started to argue again while we walked towards the classes, luckily or unluckily we were in different classes. I waved at the two and got to my class in which there were already a few people and of course, I didn't recognize anyone.

I sat at my desk which was not the second to last from the window and I dozed off all the time till the end of the lessons.

Finally, it was time to go to the gym and I was itching to play. As lazy as I might seem (I am) when it comes to playing baseball I would always be in for a match.

Opening the door I was met up with the relaxing sound of the shoes squeaking against the woody pavement and the constant bounce of the basketballs, the sound of the ball getting into the hoop was the best music for my ears.

I saw a line of people, first years, so I walked to stand next to them. When the coach was done calling he dived us into different groups.

"Attention! As all of you know Teiko Junior high basketball club is one of the most known Basketball junior club and if you joined you should know that we have rigid training. I want all of you to remember that our philosophy is that we always must win and losing is not acceptable. The club has three separate strings, labeled the first, second, and third string. The first string is the main team of the club, the strongest and most important one. There is a low percentage that one of you firsties is joining but if you have the ability then show it! Now we have prepared different tests in each area to see your prowess and I'll be straight with you if you aren't capable or aren't able to follow the training you're welcome to drop this club. Now to the tests! "

As I followed my group the first test we got was to see our accuracy and the distance we could throw from. I wanted to show off a little so I did constantly three-pointers shocking pretty much everyone, except from me a green-haired boy was also excellent but he didn't get 3-on-15 shots which was still good.

After that, we did a speed test in which I did good, as I still lack in that area but there was a giant with lilac/purple hair that had done really good as expected.

As for the last test we had to do a high jump to see the height we could achieve. The hoop was 3 meters tall (10 feet) and I could jump 2.33, and with that, I once again left everyone with open mouths, the only other players that were my level were, of course, the purple giant, and surprisingly Aomine.

The last thing we had to do was play a match because of course we all know that it's in the Field where things get serious.
