The Promise?

"Zel?" the 16 year old boy seriously called to his childhood sweetheart

"Hmm? what is it Cy?" she cheerfully answered

"What do you think of me?" he can't fight his feelings anymore his longing for something more than what they have right now

"I think you're cute and handsome at the same time! You have the perfect blending of being a gentleman and a perv.-.." she halted as her words means another thing "--fection"

"Will you take me seriously? I'm freaking serious right now!" He knows how cute the girl is but his goal of talking to her is finding out what she feels about him

"I like you more than a friend" she murmured softly

he stiffened for a minute and his heart rejoiced of what he heard but

"but promise me one thing,,,,"

"What is it?" he suddenly feel strange about her request

"pretend you didn't know.." sadness seen to her eyes because she knows that she gave something important but she needed to take it back for their relationship sake..

He felt upset and shouted, "You knew all along that I liked you more than friends!?" How cruel is she? she's nothing but a monster!

"You know how I hated boys, right?"

"and what about it??"

"You're the first one I have liked since when we're little. You protected me like a little sister and I don't want to ruin that memory because of my confession and even yours. So forget about this talk and don't bring this up again.." she calmed herself because it's the best thing to do

"Alright. I promise to pretend I didn't know what you have said but you need to make a promise too.. don't even think of giving yourself to me in the future." what does he mean about that? this delusional boy..

"huh?" blinking thrice she didn't get what he's talking about so she just blushed when she finally get it..

"You're not making a promise Zel" does that mean she wants me too someday in the future?

"O-okay I I ah,,, I p-promise"

he definitely can't hide it..the fact that she's so cute but a promise is a promise.. it's an important thing for someone yet for anyone it is easily broken..
