1 Chapter 1. Rupanzel??? Not Really

"Yina, where do you think you're going" my mom spoke up while I was on my mission to sneak out of my house.

'Damn, How did she see me' is what I thought.

"You thought I can't see you? How foolish of you" my mom said while approaching my hiding spot. She pulled me by my wrist, threw me back into my room and locked me in.

I was frustrated at this moment, "Mom, what is your problem? Why can't I go out? I've never been to town please let me go. Please just once, I also want to go to the town once" I cried out.

I received no answer from the other side of the door. My crying and begging had never affected my mom though so I'm not surprised but still I was sick of not being able to go out.

Our house was in the middle of the forest. You know like Rupanzel's Tower exactly! Just like that. But ours was a small hut with 2 rooms, kitchen, washroom, and living room. Its was a decent house with decent furniture nothing special.

The only special thing about this house was its location, neither animal nor humans could find this place.

My mom always told me not to go out of the house cause this forest was dangerous and filled with dangerous animals and monsters.

Also, my mom was the only person who knew the way out of this forest and the way to return home. We never had a guest cause my mom never brought anyone to our house and no one was able to find this place.

For the past 15 years, I had been living like this, all alone. I know that I had my mom by my side but I still felt lonely. Spending 15 years in one house and not being able to go out is difficult but honestly earlier I never felt the need. Because whenever my mom went to town she would bring back loads of storybooks and novels for me and since I loved reading, so I never got bored.

But from the past few weeks, I was getting restless, I wanted to go out to town desperately. This was all because I read a novel.

The novel was about the history of our country, ILMONE. Hundred years ago, King Leroy had defeated kings of the other countries in war. He established a united country and named it ILMONE.

From that day onward, on 4th full moon of every year, people of our country held a full week celebration to celebrate this unification. A lot of events and ceremony were done. And since this year is the 100th year after the unification so this year's celebration will be huge.

When I read about all this I was super excited. I wanted to go and enjoy the celebration like every other person would do. But unfortunately, here I am locked up in my room after failing my mission to sneak out.

Maybe its time for me to use my Plan B.
