10 Dragon Spear

The adventure guildhall was as anyone could expect. A massive seven-story building made of the same grey stone as the rest of the city. Though it also had multiple different wooden logs used in the building as well. Though they were more for aesthetic than any actual structural purpose. As the carriage stopped outside, a small bald man came rushing out to it.

The Princess got out quickly, with Aarna following her along. Then the bald man led them inside alongside two guards. The carriage and the rest of the guards then sped as per the Princess's orders. The people who left, then moved quickly through the different floors of the adventure's guild, before passing into an annexe. Outside were a few adventures who appeared to be milling about. But as the bald man passed, he whispered to them quickly. They then just carried on milling around outside, but if you were to look closely, you would notice that they were in fact watching everyone who walked past.

Finally, they stopped and the bald man turned around. Bowing his head. As he looked back up he smiled.

"I am the third head, your Highness. I must say it is a pleasure to have you here. I am sorry about all of the secrecy but I did not want Eshika, that whore, to find out that you were here. Seeing how your carriage moved off, I am guessing that you would like the same thing. Now may we be seated."

Pavitra and the third head then sat down, into some chairs. As the two began to talk business and how the adventures would be helping the Princess, Aarna decided to walk around. After getting out of the meeting room, she found herself in another room. It looked more like a trophy room than anything else. There was a variety of main weapons adorning the walls and placed within cabinets. As she looked around, most of them seemed to be old and rusted. There were even a few blades that had been broken.

There was one weapon that caught her interest though. It was a spear. It was placed in a corner seemingly out of the way and forgotten. The spear itself looked more like an art piece than anything else. The blade was red and was made to look like it was coming out the mouth of a dragon. The dragon the main part of the spear with its tail, being a smaller tip at the bottom. The whole thing was well made, it looked like their spear was made of dragon scales, as she touched it though she found it to be cold. Unlike its red and fire appearance, the spear was ice cold. Whatever metal that had been used to make it, certainly stayed cold.

After looking at the artistic spear for a few more minutes, she walked back into the meeting hall to catch the last of it.

"So if my branch of the adventures guild provides aid, you, in turn, will support me as the next grand elder, for when the whore's father dies?"

Pavitra nodded at him.

The bald man then stood up, and proceed to rush back through the adventures hall, avoiding anyone and everyone. Once they all got outside, the carriage came speeding around the corner before coming to a speedy stop. Pavitra and Aarna quickly into the carriage before it sped off again, quickly leaving the district. Heading back off towards the inner wall and one of its gates allowing access back into the inner region of the city.

Seeing the carriage coming, the guards that were on duty. Quickly dashed around and cleared everyone that was in the way and made sure that the carriage could just pass straight through without having to stop. There a few complaints by some nobles, but as soon as they saw the wagon and the royal guards around it, pass by they all quickly shut up. Fearing for what could happen if they insulted someone who was from the royal family.

As they passed onto the smooth paved roads, of the inner city. The carriage began to make its way towards the administrative district and the Princess. It groaned to a stop right outside of the main administration building. As the Princess got out, her frown was evident. No one had is sent out to receive her. There wasn't even a servant.

She looked back at the guard who had been sent as a messenger.

"You did give the message that I would be coming today didn't you?"

The guard just nodded in response to her words. This only seemed to elevate the anger that the Princess was currently feeling. Then her furious expression disappeared as if it was never there at all.

She then walked up the stairs and between the two towering pillars. As she passed into the hall, with all of the royal guards behind her. She looked around and smiled a little. She had gained the attention of everyone inside. Then she just stood there, standing right in the middle of the doorway, the guards behind her blocking the way out and in.

When one of the officials tried to leave, he found that he wasn't going to be let past. Then he tried to force his way past only to be shoved to the floor by the guards. As he looked up in dismay, he jumped to his feet and ran over to the Princess in protest.

"Your Highness! What is the meaning of this?" His yells, attracted the attention easily of anyone who was not already looking over at the group.

The Princess just looked over expressionless at the man.

"I am waiting to be welcomed in by someone of authority. I am still royalty. What right does this place have to treat me like this?" Although she was yelling or even angry. The cold emotionless voice sent shivers down the back of everyone in the hall.

The protesting official soon found that the words he was going to speak were caught in his mouth. He just stood there with his mouth opening and closing. A cold sweat had suddenly formed on his brow as well.

The Princess just carried on looking at him. Her steady eyes not moving for a second. Eventually, the official bowed his head and began to walk away. It was at this moment that someone else walked into the hall.

He was an old man, with some spectacles on.

Seeing the Princess and her delegation. He walked over.

"Your Highness, may I welcome you into the administration hall?" The old man was happy and tried to be welcoming. He was only met with the cold, emotionless stare of the Princess.

Then she finally spoke after making sure that the old man had a cold sweat as well.

"Well. Where you? No one came to meet me. This place has deteriorated in standards. Now let us go. I wish to meet the people who have been assigned and tasked to go with me."

The old man looked around not knowing quite what to do, that was until he decided to lead her off through the hallways, and into one of the massive conference rooms.

He looked around nervously before making sure that the Princess had a seat and was comfortable. Then he got her some water, before leaving the room and running off to find whoever. The royal guards had arranged themselves so that they were around the room, with two standing directly behind the Princess. Aarna was just standing there awkwardly not knowing exactly what she should be doing. This was after all, technically her office and apart from the Princess all of her main bosses were here.

Then a large group of people walked into the office. There were the heads of the hall, the old man as well as a smaller group of other people. They all after, getting into the room, bowed down low. Then as the rest continued bowing, the heads all stood up. While their heads were lowered, they all declared.

"Your Highness, we are sorry about not welcoming you!"

Their voices caused the wall to vibrate a little. The Princess did not react though and just carried on staring at them with no expression.

Then she sighed.

"All of you get out. Unless you are here as you have been assigned to me."

The heads just looked at her. They didn't know how exactly there were meant to react to what she had said. The old man though did as he was told and got straight out of the room. In fact minus the heads and those who were meant to stay.

The Princess just looked at the heads again, surprised that they had not moved at all.

"I! Said! Get! OUT!"

Her yell got a reaction though and they all suddenly ran out of the room. As the door closed behind them, she looked up at one of the guards.

"Make sure the hallway is clear and that no one comes in."

The guard saluted and walked off to do his new task.
