| At The Kingdom of Azalon ~ Royal Infirmary |

"Any positive results on her health status?" A whisper could be heard in the Infirmary.

"None I can say for now, Your Majesty." The doctor said, readjusting his spectacles.

"I see," King Zane held unto her pale hand, "She must be alone wherever she is."

°Why is he being so nice suddenly? Does it have anything to do with the Princess° The doctor observed the scene before him suspiciously.

"Medically speaking, Sire, she is in some sort of coma." The Doctor coughed out, readjusting his spectacles yet again.

°Didn't I know that you idiot?° The King lips drew into a thin line, closing his eyes momentarily, gathering his thoughts.

Looking to his side in utter annoyance at being corrected, he spat: "Why do you always adjust your spectacles? Uh!" The King pointed accusingly.

The Doctor jumped back in fear at being attacked unjustly, "Sire, surely you do know I am mostly right when it comes to my profession." The doctor raised his hands in defense, his notepad on the verge of falling off anytime soon if he continues in that stance.

"Mostly?! Mostly?!" King Zane yelled, the word for some reason setting his anger off.

"I didn't mean it that way, Sire." The doctor shook his hands frantically, the notepad slipping off his fingers.

*Wham*

°Oh no! What have I done?!° The doctor trembled in fear, biting at the tip of his nails, watching helplessly as his notepad made it's suicidal contact with the King's face.

"You-" King Zane pulled down hard on the notepad which stuck cozily to his face, ripping out some of it's pages. Picking on the pages which still stuck to his face, throwing them down.

"Noooo, my notepad! My records!" The doctor shrieked as if in pain, holding onto his head as he dropped to his knees.

°Did... did I just say that out loud?° The doctor paused momentarily, raising his arm above his head, he took a peek at the fire breathing dragon of a King who stood tall, fire emanating from him, the ripped notepad still in hand.

"You-" the King began again, his grip on the notepad forming creases around his fingers. "You worry more about your notepad than your dear King's state of being?" His brows twitched, his head tilted a little to the side, able to set off anyone's uncomfortable button.

°Isn't 'dear' a little over the top?° The doctor dared not say his thoughts out loud.

"My records, those records... were very precious to me." The doctor's lips quavered. "They were vital for my work."

"You dare speak back at your King?° King Zane took an intimidating step closer to the doctor.

°How did things turn out this way? All I did was try to help° The doctor took a step back, panicking.

"Would you two go play outside." The Princess strained voice stopped them right in their tracks. "Your childish manner is starting to get very troublesome."

The doctor sweatdropped at her choice of words, she really is something to talk to the King that way.

°But isn't the Princess also referring to you?° The doctor's inner thoughts questioned.

"To think I was about to feel any hint of pity." The doctor said under his breath, shaking his head as he smiled.

"What are you smiling at?" The King's rage flared up again at the sight of the doctor's smile.

"I... I wasn't-" The doctor froze, the mere thought of actually talking back at the King frightened him.

"Would you two just stop?!" The Princess spoke, her voice hoarse. "Get out!"

The King looked at Princess in shock, never in his life has anyone ever spoken to him in that manner, and the thought of leaving on her command left a bitter after taste in his lips.

"As you wish, Princess." The doctor replied, eager to leave the Infirmary, going far away from the King's presence as soon as he could.

Bowing down, he dodged the glaring eyes of he King, turning around, in a quick succession, he snatched what was left of his notepad from the King's clutches, scurrying off, slamming the metal door behind him.

°If you weren't such a valuable asset to this kingdom, I wouldn't be going through all this° The King sneered at the uncanning behavior of the doctor.

Turning his attention towards the Princess, he watched her sleeping figure.

°She slept so fast?° King Zane couldn't believe it was possible, stepping lightly, he approached her bed.

"Are you really sleeping?" The King asked, skeptical on her tactics, poking her arm in the process.

Her body swayed from the slight jab from the King's incessant poking.

°Do not open your eyes at all cost, just endure it for now° Princess Aria thought, determined to keep up the ruse.

"He's gone, you can quit it now." King Zane pleaded.

°If you don't react, probably... probably he'll leave like the doctor did° She hoped.

"I mean no harm, Aria. Give me a chance to prove that to you." The King's voice tender and warm.

°Do not give in to his flattering words, everyone in this kingdom are the same, he is no exception° Her eyes tried fluttering open, squinting her eyes shut to keep them tightly shut.

"You... you can hear me right?" The King held onto her hands.

°Let go!° Princess Aria wanted to yell.

°You know one thing that could make her wake up° The King's inner thought advised.

°Would that really work?° He thought on the possibility of the plan going through successfully.

°There is only one way to find out° The King prepped himself, licking his lips. Exhaling, he bent down slowly approaching her.

"Here goes!" King Zane muttered to himself.

°What's he doing?° Princess Aria felt his breath fan her lips, his lavender scent engulfing her senses, uneasiness setting in.

Opening her eyes slightly, she was met with his lips mere inches away from hers.

Pushing him off her before he could carry on with his mischievous acts, "What were you planning on doing?" She held her chest, trying to calm her racing heart.

°I really need to get to the bottom of all these before I'm sucked in° Princess Aria glared at the King, waiting for a plausible excuse.

"Is it wrong to try a mouth-to-mouth resuscitation? You were out cold." The King replied with a smirk on his lips.

°I would love so much to wipe that smirk off your face!° Princess Aria took a handful of the sheets below her, gritting her teeth.

"Just that?" She eyed him suspiciously. Readjusting her posture, she sat up, pulling up the pillow, she rested her back on it, her arms folded.

"Would you like for it to be more?" King Zane asked.

°How can a King be so presumptuous?° Princess Aria shook her head in disappointment.

"Were you always like this?" She was curious.

"What?!" His smile fading away, replaced with confusion.

"Out!" Her patience wearing out, pulling on the bed cover over herself, she squirmed downwards, "Just let me be. Don't you have some royal duties to attend to?"

The King's cast a downhearted look, shoving his hands in his pocket, "I already am." He replied plainly.

"What would that be?" Princess Aria looked over her shoulder, tugging on the cover a little bit.
