"Maybe I should just leave, I'm sorry for interrupting whatever you two were doing." He backed away slowly.

"No! You aren't" Princess Aria yelled.

"Yes you are." The King affirmed.

The Princess shot a glare his way as the King's response was not helping their situation.

Yet again, the Princess and the King's response respectively sounded oddly fishy.

°Who should I listen to?° Sir Mill sweatdropped, contemplating the decision he would take.

"What is wrong with you?" Princess Aria hissed through gritted teeth.

"Mill?" The King held onto her wrist nonetheless, ignoring her protests.

"Yes? Your Majesty?" Sir Mill's froze upon the mention of his name.

"Leave us." He ordered.

"As you wish, Sire." He bowed ready to leave.

"Don't you go any further." Princess Aria warned. "I have a say in all this, I think I don't need to spell this out for you."

°If he leaves, what would he think of me- us?° Princess Aria panicked.

"As your wish Your Highness." He stood his grounds, picking a handkerchief from his left pocket, wiping the sweat off his face.

The glare shot at him by his brother made his knees almost give way. °Why did my silly legs bring me here?°

"Mill? Either you leave or you get stripped off your title." The King said coldly.

"B-but that's not fair, you can't do something like that, right brother?" Sir Mill dropped to his knees.

"Do you want to find out?!" The King's rage was back. His grip on her wrist tightening, causing her to yelp in pain.

"Umm excuse me?" Princess Aria raised her free hand. "Give us a moment." She requested from Sir Mill.

"Sure, please take your time." Sir Mill replied, giving a sigh of relief.

Adjusting her posture, she bent over her lips inches away from , whispering in his ear: "Are you testing my patience?" She questioned.

"I definitely didn't do anything wrong, and I clearly do not recall you ever having an ounce of patience." The King countered in like manner.

°You're really pushing it° She shot glares his way.

"I hope you can recollect, I'm in possession of two things." She held his gaze. "Your life and your word, so do mind how you behave while I'm still here." Her eyes trailed down to her wrist.

"Release my wrist." She tried tugging on her wrist, but his grip was firm.

°He has been acting a little unpredictable these days° She thought as the inability to loosen his grip dawned on her.

"I know a certain someone would be pleased to watch his older brother get his royal behind disciplined." She held back a chuckle.

The King's eyes narrowed at her threat. No one had ever threatened him at close range and lived to tell the tale, but here she was, the same person defy all odds. The more she spoke the more the memories of that day flooding in.

"You really do have uncultured lips." The King smiled in amusement, even though his mind was still a little hazy, he could clearly recollect she had made mention of that sentence before.

°What are they discussing about?° Sir Mill held onto the script, contemplating if he actually arrived at the right time or not.

Princess Aria's eyes widened in surprise at his choice of words. Backing off a bit, her heart began racing.

°He knows? He knows? He knows!!!° She panicked.

Turning towards Sir Mill who made no effort to hide the fact that he was trying to listen in on their conversation.

"You may leave us, I would be quick about it." She conceded into his order.

Sir Mill jolted in response to her ambiguous statement.

°Get your head outside the clouds° Sir Mill thought as he hurriedly left the room.

"Get well brother!" He called in a loud voice down the hallway.

Now they were alone, the King gradually let go of her wrist. "Are you hurt somewhere?"

"I am only hurt, here." She placed a palm on her left chest, her hands scrunched up her fabric as she tugged on it. Closing her eyes, forcing the tears back.

The King looked on, not sure how do approach the situation.

° Flashback °

"Get back here Aria!" A voice thundered, his fingers pointing downwards.

"You are not the boss of me!" She folded her arms, looking the other way, her back against him.

"But I am your father and your King, so you do what I say!" He retorted.

"Ugh!" she yelled exasperated." I can go anywhere I want to, I am no longer a child."

"That I know, but the world outdoors is dangerous, I'm just looking after what's dearest to me.

"Are you doubting your training skills, father?" Princess Aria cocked a brow.

"Please do act and dress like the Princess you are. The subjects are starting to talk." King Fabian pleaded.

"What's wrong with my outfit?" Princess Aria questioned.

"Your outfit is nice but it could be better." The King chipped in.

"What's gotten into you father?" Princess Aria looked on in disbelief.

"Order the guards, they should not follow me this time, I need to be alone." She continued.

"But-"

"No buts," She thundered, "I need some time alone!" She stomped off.

The sound of birds chirping carefully graced her ears.

°This is like the sound of freedom°

Sitting laid-back, she enjoyed her new view.

"Your Highness!" Princess Aria whipped her head back at the sound of the intruder.

"Didn't the King enlighten you on your duties..." She paused in her tracks..

"Yes he did Your Highness," Her reached into his pocket bringing out a vial, covering his nose with his sleeve, he sprayed it's content around the Princess.

"What- do you- think you are doing?" She said amidst coughing. "You aren't one of our guards, are you?" She asked skeptical.

"You deduced that fast." He backed away. "Get her!" he said to the others who had been lurking in the shadows.

Dropping to the ground on her side, the content in the vial working it's way on her.

°Why am I this weak?° she tried gaining her footing but she couldn't.

°Father, I know we haven't been getting along well. I still love you° Her vision dimming.

"Tie her up, and let's head on over."

° End of flashback°

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Why me?" Was her only response.
"hmmm." The King gave her question a thought. "We just had to." Was all the response he could give.
"That is not a reason good enough to me." She shook her head in disappointment.
"Why go through all the stress in kidnapping me?" She looked into the King's eyes for any sign of deception as he would try to answer her question.
"They are things I cannot explain for now, but you will later come to realize it's actually good here." He suggested.
"And why do you think I would consider staying here?" She scoffed at his confidence.
"Time would tell, Princess."
