"And most important of all, I call the shots here, what I say goes." She grinned dropping the last finger.

"What's in it for us?" Royal Advisor Curtis asked skeptical about the proposal.

"I provide the antidote, silly." She replied.

They gave a sigh of relief but it was short-lived.

"But..." she raised her index finger, dashing away their relief to the wind. "It has to be taken in doses, one I can only administer." Her cheeks flushed a bright red.

°Silly Aria, silly Aria, what have you gotten yourself into?° She scolded herself, but putting on the charade of being in control. She couldn't let her guard down, so she smiled like a chesire cat.

"What do you mean doses? Isn't an antidote meant to be administered once?" Royal Advisor Curtis raised a brow.

The King's condition was getting more critical by the minute, his temperature rising causing beads of sweat trail down his face. The cut on his face which had formed a clot had an awfully red hue to it.

"It means to ensure you all follow all my laid down deals, I made sure the poison aimed at your King isn't one which could be cured once." She stated as a matter of fact. "You didn't think I was stupid, did you? I know for a fact that once he's cured totally you all would definitely lock me up or carry out your mischievous plans you had for me at the start of all this." She swung her legs over and unto the right armrest, resting her head on the left.

"Besides, this antidote is something more like a family secret passed down from generation to generation, it's either you go to my father—one I highly doubt you would go with or I'm your safest bet." She blew on the dirt she found on her fingernail. "You should all be grateful it was just a graze, imagine the impact it would have made if it was the whole doze."

"But he's dying, please save my brother." Sir Mill pleaded. "We're nothing without him."

"So like I said earlier, do we have a deal?" Princess Aria still in her laid-back position, brought up her hands for a handshake to the best of her ability in her position.

Walking up to the dias of the throne, Sir Mill returned the gesture. "We have a deal. Now please save him."

"First I need you all to evacuate the throne room." She turned, sitting up straight.

"What?!" Sir Mill and Royal Advisor Curtis yelled in unison.

"You heard me right, do as I say or be prepared to dress in your funeral garments." She shooed them away.

°What are you gaining at?° Sir Mill thought as he backed away slowly, ordering the guards to go with her decision.

"But Sir, I can't leave the King, what if something were to happen to the King? I would be the one to blame and have my head on the line." The Royal Advisor trembled, holding onto the sleeve of Sir Mill. "I failed in my duty!"

"I'll make sure that doesn't happen, so if we don't want that to happen just yet, let us try to trust her, it's our only hope." Sir Mill responded, pulling him up.

°Alright! Here goes° Princess Aria rubbed her palms together. pulling her hair in a messy bun as she knelt down, her face directly above the King's.

Her face inched closer to the King's, her lips puckered up but she backed off at the last minute.

°What is wrong with you Aria? You can't be thinking of that now! it's the only way to administer the first dose° She shook her head at the silly thought running through her mind.

Taking a deep breath, she observed his features. His Raven black hair drenched in sweat made his outlook all the more appealing and a stark contrast to her hair color. Her hands had a mind of it's own as she reached to caress his well-defined chin and nose. His brows furrowed at the feel of her touch, mumbling incoherent words as he was barely conscious.

He was a man of any girl's dreams, but was he hers? His soft thin lips were very attractive and captivating. She had wanted to touch it but I decided not to do so.

°You are going to kiss those lips, whether you want it or not° Her mind teased her.

"Shut it!" She said to no one in particular. "Okay here goes." She inhaled and exhaled as she resumed her action.

°Pardon my uncultured lips° She thought with a hint of mockery.

When her lips met his, Aria's heart pounded in her chest as her knees got weaker. She lost focus on the main motive of kissing him as she was focused on how soft he felt against her mouth, it became intoxicating. The lavender smell seething off him which clouded her senses, pulling her in.

°Aria! Aria! Focus on the antidote!° Her inner thoughts warned which pulled her back to reality.

Introducing her tongue, she gave him a wet kiss before slowly pulling away.

°That should do the trick for no-° her thoughts were interrupted by a sudden force pulling her down.

She was met in a liplock, the perpetrator being no one but the King who responded faster to her dose of the antidote than she expected.

Time seemed to freeze as she closed her eyes savoring the feeling, but it suddenly stopped as it came.

Falling to the ground, the King blacked out once more which left her stunned and embarrassed.

°Did I just allow him to do that?° She whacked her head, turning away from him, pulling on her hair as she curled into a ball.

°Wait! is he alright?°

Looking over her shoulder behind her she sneaked a peek at his sleeping figure, his chest heaving.

°Oh no! What if he thinks I came onto him?° She bit her lip in frustration. °I am so screwed° She banged her head on her knee.

Standing to her feet with the little strength she could muster, she headed towards the door.

Opening the door slightly, she looked down the hallway, spotting a guard. "Hi, I would like to request the presence of the Royal Advisor and His Highness Sir Mill." She flashed a big smile.

The guard nodded in response as he left to perform the task given to him. Immediately she closed the door behind her, her big smile faded.

"Sire!" Royal Advisor Curtis exclaimed rushing towards up the dias as he witnessed his King still in the same position he was left in.

"Brother!" Sir Mill followed suit.

"He's alive!" Royal Advisor Curtis exclaimed as he felt a pulse with his breathing regular.

"For now!" Aria chipped in as she looked the other way, avoiding the death glares shot at her.

°He's safe, I'm glad° Sir Mill released the breath he didn't know he held. He turned towards Aria mouthing the words "Thankyou".

Aria nodded in response, giving a faint smile.

"Go get the Medics!" Sir Mill yelled to one of the guards stationed at the door.

°I hope he doesn't remember what transpired between us° Princess Aria hoped as she watched him being transported out the door in a stretcher.
