Love Doesn’t Change

It was the first time Runa ever felt loved. Not obsession, not pity. And yet, she couldn't reciprocate the feeling. In the beginning, Ernest only served as a tool for her to discover Ansgar's weakness. However, this young fool fell for her, and it messed with her head and heart now.

A tool needed to remain a tool until the end of its usage period. If Runa started to sympathize with him, Ernest could no longer be a tool for her. Her emotions and feelings shouldn't be involved, or else, things would be complicated. 

Seducing the son of the Zamek family was part of her plan, and she was joyful that her effort came to fruition. But… what was that aching feeling in her heart?

Seeing how Ernest was flustered when Runa shot a direct question about his infatuation for her, Runa was sure of his feelings even before he answered. Ernest lived up to his name–he was being earnest. And that only made Runa feel bad for him.
