12 The City part 2

Bella had never given a speech as a leader and hardly gave them as a princess. She smiled at the crowd but she had stepped closer to Prompto to feel secure. "Hello everyone. I am Bella and it's nice to meet you all. Prompto is my head guard and Gladio is Notics head guard. Ignis and Gladio also guard me. Whenever we are here they will see what they can do to help the city guards and work with them. I do not feel my life is threatened here but as always some people may not like me from my parents. From my understanding though, a majority would like me to be a leader. I would rather not call myself a ruler but it is whatever you choose to call me. If you see my out in London please do not address me as a royal. There are lots of darks around and it is getting worse."

Prompto put a hand on her shoulder as reassurance. She really needed that because she was shaking slightly. "I am here to help your city with what I can. I have heard there have been darks terrible you all at random and I'll see what I can do to stop it. With my presence they could get worse but my guard and Notics guards and both of us will do everything we can. The city guards will be trained properly by me and Prompto. Eventually I will be leaving though as you all know what has happened to my power. I am glad to be here for awhile though, " Bella gives a smile and there was clapping. Lots of clapping and it slightly terrified her. So many people looking up to her as leader or as a ruler and she was not ready for that.

"My Highness, do you need help getting you power back? " A younger lady asked that was near the front. Others nodded along wanting to help.

"No I wouldn't want to endanger anyone. I hardly like the idea of endangering my own guard," Bella smiled at the young lady. "Thank you for asking." Bella walked over to her gracefully and shook her hand. Bella even gave her a slight curtsey and the young lady blushed a little.

"Let me know of you need any help My Highness. I will be glad to offer you my service, " she also gave a small curtsey and others did the same to show they were in agreement. Well the ladies curtsey and the men bowed. It showed the true followers.

"Thank you. All of you," Bella walked away and towards Cameron. "I would like to start the city guard training right away. Go grab a fourth of them. Make it a mix of your top and your bottom guards. They will be trained to royal guard standard for this city. Take them to the open field near where I entered."

"Yes my Highness, " Cameron gave a bow and hurried off.

"My Lady you don't have to train the city guards. I can handle that, " Prompto smiled as they began to walk.

"Prompto, that is to your standards. My personal guards at home are way better than you guys. I will have you trained by Jake personally once we return," Bella smiled and she stopped in front of a store. "I need something to train in."

"Yes you do. A skirt does not do for My Lady to wear while training." Prompto smiled and he opened the door for Bella. She walked inside and was met with lots of hellos and stares.

"Hello, I was wondering if you had any clothes I could buy for training the guards. A skirt does not work very well, " Bella smiled and one of the ladies found a tight sleek full body outfit. That would work well for more than just training. It was an assassin's suit. Perfect for her too. "Thank you so much. How much will it be?"

"It's on the house my Highness. I am here to help serve," the lady smiled and showed her to a changing room.

"Oh thank you so much but I couldn't take this for free. It is such good quality," Bella smiled too and looked at Prompto. He was a little stunned too.

"It wouldn't be right to make someone of high status like you pay."

"You are far to sweet. Thank you very much, " Bella stepped into the changing room and changed into the suit. She stepped out and smiled. "It's perfect. I am so grateful and I owe you. Anytime you need anything let Leo know and tell him it is an owed favor."

"Thank you my Highness, " the lady bowed and went back to the front.

"So you are really leaving without paying her?"

Prompto was quick to judge.

"Of course not. I just gotta be sneaky about it is all, " Bella smiled and walked out to the front. She passed by the register and slipped the money under by the computer when the lady wasn't looking. Then both Bella and Prompto slipped out. "And before you continue to judge me, that was my own money that I earned. "

"I am sorry for judging you Bella. At this point I should really know better. How much did you even leave?" Prompto was curious what money Bella would leave because the lady never mentioned a price.

"Well this suit is worth at least 200 euros so I gave her 600 euros instead. She deserves every penny of it. I still tons of money left before you get worried, " Bella watched through the window as the lady found the money and smiled.

"I am proud of you Bella. You aren't like most royals and that's hard, " Prompto smiled as they walked off. They didn't want the lady to come out.

"I don't know what else you expect from me Prompto. I thought I had shown I wasn't a typical royal, " Bella sighed and they made it to the training area. "Take my uniform back to Leo's house. You'll have to skip assassin training today but I'll be fine afterwards."

"I don't want you coming here alone thought my lady," he had to switch to being really polite as some of the guards began to approach.

"I'll have you guys rotate who goes to assassin training and who comes with me. Don't worry. Hurry up, " she turned to look at the guards as Prompto hurried off. "Alright, today begins the first day of training to become as skilled as my personal guard at home. "

Some of the guard rolled their eyes and just stared blankly at her. "How can you teach us anything? Where is your head guard?" Someone asked from the group.

"Whoever that was step forward. I will show you how well I am trained. If I win you will listen to me. If I lose you will have my guards to train you, " She smiled as a somewhat muscular man stepped forward. All her weapons were hidden except for a sword strapped to her side. "Alright everyone else stand back. First be in a position to die loses, deal?"

"Deal, " the man withdrew his sword but Bella didn't. The match had started so the man charged but she easily side stepped it. She than grabbed the man in a headlock and smiled. "I don't know why you are smiling, this isn't a death position."

"Oh but it is, " she allowed the dagger to fall in front of his throat before she stepped back. "Done challenging my credibility?"

"I'm sorry my Highness. I never have met a royal to have such training," he bowed and stepped back into the group. Some of the other royal guards were snickering.

"I'd wipe those smiles right off your face. I have been trained by assassins and my personal guard back home. You guys don't stand a chance against me, " Bella slid the dagger back into her sleeve and she walks around looking at all of the guards. There weren't many girls. It was a group of twenty and maybe four were girls.

"So how are you gonna train all of us with just you?" one of the girls asked.

"Well I wanna see who is the worst. I'll start there, training the weakest. Don't be ashamed you are the weakest, be glad because then you'll be the best, " Bella smiled and she stepped back to the side. "Start sparring. Cameron you know them the best, put them in pairs."

"Yes my Highness, " Cameron began and matched them up.
