11 The City part 1

After school Master Leo met them and they all went to his house. It was less suspicious if they went to his house after school for a bit and hung out. He was nice the whole time but he seemed to be hiding something.

"Is something wrong? You seem worried about something, " Bella was trying to be sneaky about asking. She didn't think he would tell her if she asked out right.

"Well there is something I need to tell you about that I should have years ago when I first learned of who you were, " Leo sighed as he sat down and looked down. "There is a hidden city that has recently heard of you being here and they want you there. The current leader isn't leading very well and now that you have been made aware of they are demanding for you. They say you are their true leader."

"I am no one's leader though. I am not even from this timeline and why is there even a hidden city?" Bella was confused and honestly wasn't expecting that to be his worry. It was a different problem.

"It's hidden because they don't like your mother and father's rule but they have heard from time travelers that you are a fair and honest princess, " Leo looked up at Bella and smiled. He was trying to protect her from having to rule a small group of people. "It is true that you are honest and fair."

"Maybe I can convince them to live under my parents rule again. I don't plan to be here forever and I need to get my power back Leo, " Bella gave a sad smile when she saw his smile fall. He was too hopeful of her being able to guide this group of people she didn't know. "I can rule them while we wait for a good time to go after my power but the current leader will be advising me and helping out. I am not doing it alone."

"Well Princess you do have Prince Notics if you need help, " Leo looked at Notics who just shook his head. "And your guard to help you out. The current leader isn't good for our people."

"Fine. You will be the helper then. Unfortunately Notics doesn't want to help and Pronpto needs to focus on his job to guard me. Plus he doesn't really know that much about ruling over people, " Bella stood and Prompto followed. He was always at her side so once she moved so did he. "Show me to this hidden city. I need to see those who live there and make myself known."

"I understand Princess. They will probably want to call you queen because you will technically be their queen, " Leo stood up and walked over to what looked like a closet door. He opened it and it was a portal to the city. That was definitely different.

"Oh I have never seen a portal always open. I would love to learn about it," Bella walked over but Prompto stepped in front of her. He was to go first and she understood that. He walked in and looked around before allowing Bella to step through. She was met but tons of looks and gasping. "Hello everyone. I wasn't expecting to be greeted right away."

"I told them that I would try to have you here today. They have been waiting this whole time Your Highness, " Leo offered a small bow before smiling.

"That's going to be hard to get used to again, it's been a few years. Still getting used to Prompto calling me by my lady, " She chucked lightly and lifted her hand which told Leo to stand straight. One man stepped forward from the crowd. Prompto stood in front of Bella to keep her blocked from him.

"Your Highness it is very nice to see you in person, " He bowed. "My name is Cameron. I would love to step into a guard role for you and serve you."

"You may stand, " Bella waits for him to stand straight and gives a smile. "No one needs to bow to me anymore. I appreciate your offer Cameron but I have an amazing guard and Prince Notic's guards serve me as well. I don't want to drag anyone away."

"Your Highness, I do not mind serving you as a guard. You have a few but only one is faithful to you. You need at least two others at your side, " Cameron was persistent, she knows that much now.

"Cameron I understand but I do not even need a guard. I've been here for two years before I had a guard again. I am trained very well without my powers, " Bella walked towards Cameron and offered a smile. "Don't underestimate me understand? I do not need another guard."

"I am sorry I have offended you, My Highness. I only wish to help, " Cameron took a step back from her and looked at Prompto who didn't step in between this time.

"My lady as your temporary head guard maybe he could do nighttime guarding. It would make me more alert. He so eagerly wants to guard you, " Prompto gave a small nod to Cameron and looked at Bella.

"I guess but during the day you will guard another princess here. They didn't train like I did which is why I never took their guards no matter how much they offered, " Bella sighs before straighting up more. A strong front would be good but she was exhausted already. The guys had lessons soon and Cameron could stand guard while they train. No need in having him trained. "You don't have to swear an oath to me."

"Thank you for letting me useful to you My Highness, " Cameron went to stand by Bella's side but Gladio took that spot and Ignis behind her. They didn't trust him yet.

"Until you earn the trust you don't stand near the Princess. Only time is while we are training with dagger, " Gladio stayed in his spot even after Cameron said he understood so Notics was left unguarded. Bella smiled and waved Notics closer so they were both guarded.

"I understand. Sorry for overstepping my boundaries, " Cameron stood off to the side and waited for the next move.

Bella walked throughout the small city. She didn't even think it was considered a city but here was at least three thousand people that lived there or more. No one questioned or stopped her, just stared at her in awe because no one thought she was coming. She made it to the city's center and watched as people gathered in as well. The current leader was there and waiting too. It was strange for everyone to be waiting for her. "Hello sir, you must be the current leader, " Bella smiled and held her hand out.

"It's nice to meet you in person my Highness. I am the current leader but call Simon, " he shook her hand gentle and gave a nod at the guys at her side. Her guards were well aware of everything and they were intimidating, even Notics as he stood like a guard for her.

"This is my temporary head guard Prompto, and those are Prince Notics guards who has generously let me use, " Bella steps aside and allows Simon to shake Promptos hand. "I have heard that the people wish for me to start leading but I cannot be here all the time unfortunately. I have decided to appoint Leo in the place."

"Yes I was expecting that. Everyone thinks I am corrupt and I understand you for listening but I am doing my best," Simon gave a bow to Bella and stepped back. She looks at him for a moment.

"You can help but everything goes through him first. Somethings I will deal with myself because it is my job now I guess, " Bella smiles and looks at the crowd that has been gathering. She was to give a speech.
