9 Starting School

As it was the day before they went shopping for school supplies. They also had to pick up their uniforms and give them a test. Bella was up early and so was Prompto. Both were waiting for the others to join them. It was going to be a long day but a fun one, at least for Bella.

"Good morning Gladio Ignis and Notics, " Bella smiled and got up. She was quite happy this morning. "It's time to go school shopping before your lessons. I shortened them a bit today and from now on they will only be two hours after school."

"Alright let's get going, " Notics smiles and he walks next to Bella. They were in the center because both were to be protected. "Thank you for training us Bella and getting us set up with the clothes and school supplies."

"It was a deal I gotta do my end which is basically everything but protection. The girls and guys at the academy go a little insane because we all look highly privileged and we are all good looking. So you guys definitely have your work cut out for you. Notics you'll have the worse from the girls from how you carry yourself. You aren't as scary as the other three, " Bella giggled when Prompto sighed and gave her a little shove.

"I am not scary. I am protective there is a difference. What does Master Leo think of us coming?" Prompto was curious about Leo, he thought something was off in their first interaction.

"He is happy to have me back. I become respected after a few weeks and people listen to me. It gives him a way to make sure nothing is happening in the school, " Clara smiles and turns to Notics. "He knows who we all are and that I have named you the survival heir. He will look after you once I go to retrieve my powers."

"That's why you named me survival heir? You should send soldiers to attack the tyrant King, he is powerful, " Notics warned but then they were close to people again and in a shop. The conversation would have to wait until later for them.

"We all need the same things. Accommodations have been made for all of us to be on the same classes. It'll definitely be interesting, " Bella smiled as she grabbed a basket and began grabbing things they'd need for school. "Master Leo is who pays for these things so when you meet him you better be nice."

"Master Leo is the one who gives you money? I never knew that, " Prompto steps in front of Bella quickly. "From now on you tell me everything about this timeline for you because it will help me protect you."

"You will learn as we go Prompto. You will be at my side the whole time. It will be fine, " Bella side steps Prompto and grabs the rest of the things. "Step into your role Prompto. I am not the sweet crowned princess everyone thinks I am. I have to keep my secrets for a reason."

"Fine but that just makes guarding you more difficult. You need to let me do my job and follow my oath, " Prompto whispered shouted, he was trying not to draw attention and keep the conversation between them.

"Prompto you better just listen to her, " Gladio put a hand on his shoulder. "It is hard to guard someone you don't already know everything about. She is your lady now and you must follow her lead." Gladio smiled at Bella and took his hand off Prompto.

"Thank you Gladio. I can see why you were chosen head guard. No offence but Prompto did seem like the stronger one, " Bella told the truth and it was correct.

"Yes I won by wits but we are equalled matched Bella. I'm not offended thank you for telling the truth."

"That's what I do. I'm known for being too brutally honest and that it would be a weakness of a ruler. I don't think so though, " they reach the check out and Bella gets everything scanned.

They left the store and headed to the tailor. It was pretty quiet the whole time. At least from Bella, she hardly said a word as they walked. Once in the tailor they all put their uniforms on and tested them a bit. Perfect from the tailor and she didn't expect anything less. They made it back to the pub around noon. There was another two hours to kill before the boys lesson with their assassins.

"So what are we gonna do? I don't want to sit here talking for two hours, " Ignis complained this time. He gets bored easily from what Bella could tell.

"You guys can go do things," Bella smiled and looked at Prompto. "You go too. You haven't gotten to hang out with them that much and I wouldn't want you to get bored. I'm just going to be reading. I will stay in the common area so people can keep an eye on me."

"Thanks my lady. Don't get into any trouble because I won't be here to protect you. You have a knack for finding it, " Prompto returns the smile. "Bye."

"Bye guys, " Bella watches them walk away before she goes and grabs a book. Just as she promised she sat in the common area. Two hours passed in no time and so did the guys training. Bella was always there to watch in case the assassins decided to go too hard on them. They all went to sleep not long after, it was late and they had to be up pretty early the next morning.

"Good morning, " Bella smiles. She popped her head out of her room to make sure Prompto was up. "Time to get ready."

"Ugh it's so early I don't understand how you are so awake, " Prompto gets up and stands next to his bed.

Bella went back into her room and got ready. She got her uniform on and hid all the daggers along it. She had less than the others but that's because they didn't really want her to fight. She goes back into the main part of their suit and smiles grabbing her backpack. "All ready?"

"Yeah I guess so, " Prompto runs a hand throw his hair and grabs his backpack. Then he reached and took her backpack. "No need to carry heavy things."

"I can carry my own things Prompto. You're my guard, you don't have to carry my things too, " Bella blushed a little but she couldn't grab her bag back. He was holding it too high up.

"Well you don't need protecting right now and I'm here to serve you my lady, " He smiles and begins to walk out. "I could even carry you if you wished me too."

"No. Carry my bag whatever, " Bella was blushing bad. Over the last couple of weeks they have become close because he is always at her side. Bella liked having Prompto around. He was always making her laugh and never made her do anything specific.

"That's what I thought. Let's go and eat. Don't want to be late," Prompto walked out and watched as she did. She either walked in front of him or next to him, never behind.

"We have to be a little late or else we will get attacked by all the kids. You guys look like supermodels and academy girls don't get to see that often at school, " Bella laughed and looked over her shoulder. She got her payback for taking her bag.

"What about the guys with you?" Prompto knew that it meant it would make his job harder. Well all their jobs harder. Bella carried herself a way no normal girl does and it attracts attention. He's noticed it when they just walk down the street.

"Yeah they'll be a problem too but they be more likely to listen to you standing next to me. They are a little smart, " Bella had sat down and the pub owner brought over breakfast and even made them lunch. "Thanks so much Jackson! You didn't have to make us lunch too."

"It's not a problem Princess Bella. I am happy to serve you and Prince Notics. Anything else you need for school?" Jackson always asked if there was anything. He had to act proper because most of the other royals aren't as relaxed as Bella.

"No Jackson. Thank you very much. I'm sure they are the best like always, " Bella smiled at the packed lunches and Jackson went back to the kitchen. "I really didn't ask for packed lunches. I hope he didn't go all out or that's just another attention grabber."

"He's just being sweet Bella. Everyone wants to get on to your good side, " Notics snuck up saying. He'd scared Bella and was laughing from it.

"That's not nice Notics! I jump easily. No more scaring me, " Bella pouted a little. "Hurry up and eat."

After a few minutes, they all left and headed to school. Once they got there the area before the academy was empty luckily. Inside was a problem though. Someone must have heard of new students. Prompto immediately grabbed Bella's hand and kept her right behind him. It was like a mob pit to see the new students.

"I didn't think it would be this bad," Bella was speaking a little louder than she wanted to and was looking around. Then she felt someone behind her and turned back. Gladio had somehow made it over. "Shouldn't you be with Notics?"

"Nope. I'm supposed to look after first remember? That's what Master Leo requested of me, " Gladio smiled and was keeping people from touching her. Then someone fell right on top of her. Gladio grabbed him by the collar and looked at him. "You need to be more careful, " then set him back down and gently picked up Bella.

"Don't be so rough. People trip it happens Gladio, " Bella looks at the boy. He muttered an apology and she accepted. This was the start of a long day.
