7 He returns

The zipper to the tent slowly opened as a man with white hair that fell to his neck entered. He had a few loose strands flying out, with one large strange hanging in front of his face. He wore a short-sleeved purple t-shirt who's neck and openings of the sleeves were ripped, making a zig-zag. He had brown and red striped pants on, with a pair of suspenders holding them up. The bottom of the pants were folded upwards, showing his simple black shoes. Hooked next to the left suspender was a golden chain that stretched behind him and entered his back pocket, forming a thick circle.

Sky's mother shifted quickly before being stopped by a series of coughs. "Father, please come in." she finally managed to say after Sky fetched her some water.

The man gently closed the zipper and sat down next to Sky. "It's fine Vena, don't push yourself." He said gently.

Sky's face twitched as he leaned away from him. "FATHER?!!?!??!" He shouted loud enough for the nearby neighbors to hear.

The man stuck a finger in his ear and wiggled it a bit. "Not yours, and not hers either." He said after making sure he had not gone deaf.

"Also Vena, I told you that we won't appear in your bloodline, or your family tree," He said turning his attention towards Sky's mother, "So stop calling me 'Father'."

Vena smiled gently. "I know, but you're still his father, I can't disrespect you like that." She looked at the man, who shifted uncomfortably.

He rubbed the back of his neck, realizing he wouldn't be able to make her stop. He let out a deep sigh. "I'm sure he wouldn't agree to that..." He sounded regretful, and sad.

"Sky, we have a guest, what is the first thing you should do?" Vena looked at the boy, who had just calmed down.

Sky looked up and froze after looking at the terrifying expression his mother was making. He jumped up and spun around, quickly getting to work on something in the kitchen.

The man turned and looked at Sky, seeing something neither of them could. "He's grown a lot these past seven years." He said finally.

Vena's eyebrows furrowed. "What do you mean by that? Did you meet him when he was younger?" She asked inquisitively.

"When we first came to recruit him we ran into some trouble at Cedric's Circle, though we got out of it unscathed he still denied our invitation, forcing us to go back empty-handed for the first time in a while." He said, catching Sky's attention.

"Cedric's Circle…? Seven years ago…? I think there were two people there, though one of them was completely useless," His face scrunched up at the thought of the second individual, "What were their names?"

Sky closed his eyes and frowned, thinking as hard as he could about that day. The faces were fuzzy and he couldn't remember anything except for the fact that all the men had suddenly frozen then collapsed. He turned around and looked at the man as a faint flame grew brighter and brighter in his memory.

"It's been a while… Prince of Olympus...." The man smiled.
