Reunion

The next few days, or weeks, were a blur.

The skeleton didn't perform any more painful, body-altering experiments on Lokus, opting instead to execute a series of tests that Lokus believed were designed to make sure there were no ill side effects from what he had gone through.

He was thrown into a pit with an undead skeleton that appeared cobbled together from the bones of those Lokus had destroyed. Its right arm was a long mess of bolted-together bones with pivot points that allowed it to move around like a heavy chain, and its leg bone was thicker than Lokus' chest. It towered over him at over three meters tall, its eye sockets lit with a baleful purple fire.

Lokus jumped to a stand and dodged just in time to avoid a strike from the skeleton's odd bone-whip hand.
