19 Treasure Campus First evaluation part-1

"So, anyone has ideas?"

Upon hearing the question, Jun kept silent as the songs he knew don't exist in this world and the ones from the previous Jun's memory are before 2013.

From the moment he arrived in this world, Jun rarely searched for videos on YouTube. All he knew are the popular ones, which he can count on his fingers.

After discussing for a while, they ended up choosing a song. Jun also agreed to it even though he never heard of it.

It seems Shonwu and Songmin already knew the choreography of the song. Both of them are teaching the other three meanwhile, the clueless vocalists, Jun and Hojin, sat in a corner to hear the song.

It's a song that was released only five months ago. So, Jun never heard of it even though the number of views is over 100 million.

After watching the first minute, Jun sighed, thinking, 'with four dancers, it's inevitable.'

The moment group formed, Jun already had thought this was coming. The chosen song will be definitely of great choreography.

As the song passed the second minute, Jun wondered why they bothered to form a group with him if they can't take advantage of his vocals.

Sure, the song is quite catchy and the steps too. Even Jun is tempted to practice that choreography.

But, he also felt that the choreography might be too hard for him. To learn the steps in one week, it's difficult for someone like him who only has 5.5 points of dancing talent.

Instead of arguing, Jun thought it would be better to perform solo.

After all, in this song, he will end up as a mediocre performer at the end.

But, then, his facial expressions changed as the end part of the 3rd minute where there's a high note.

"Can you sing that without any issue?" Suddenly, he heard from the side.

Jun glanced at the other vocalist and nodded, "yeah, it's in my range."

As the song completed, Jun thought, "It's not bad. The song isn't my style but it will do."

For the whole day, everyone practiced the choreography that has common elements individually first. Meanwhile, Daniel helped out Jun with it.

Jun thought Shonwu is a capable leader. He already prepared the plan beforehand.

He split up the work into three parts. First, they will practice the common steps.

Then, they will complete the dance together including their special parts where they will stand in the center.

After that, they will practice the lyrics.

Finally, they will piece everything together.

Their practice starts at five o'clock in the morning and ends at 11 p.m.

Three days later, everyone registered their names with Shonwu as the team leader and the group name as X7. As for the song, they chose "Kick It" by SVT, a rising Kpop group.

Thankfully for them, no one also chose the same song, or else, it would have been a competition.

November 8th, 2017;

The day of elimination. 278 members gathered at the auditorium in the 3rd floor.

The rest of the seven quit the program for various reasons.

One of them is a former female trainee who quit because of injury during the practice.

Along with YG, the Brave brothers and the rest of the coaches sat on the first row, meanwhile, JYP was on stage with a mic in his hand.

"For the past week, you guys received the basic training from professionals. You basically saw a glimpse of how training is done in big agencies with dozens of trainees.

Meanwhile, YG-Hyung and Dong-Chul-ssi kept an eye on the former trainees to see how they are doing on their own. Both of them watched the training rooms from the control room."

Since the group has a formal experience, their score might be affected because of their conduct during the past week like how many hours they practiced, their behavior towards the team members, etc…"

All of the 86 former trainees were taken aback as they didn't expect their score might be reduced. After all, as former trainees, they don't need to work as hard as the newbies.

Even if they are strangers to each other since they have experience of dancing in a group, they get their choreo done quickly and some of them just spend only like 4-5 hours for a day.

Jun felt his group was an exception though. Because of choosing a complicated choreography, they worked hard to perfect it, especially the synchronization.

Jun also didn't think he will be doing the same choreography more than 300 times to get it right. He almost quit the group because of Hojin.

This vocalist who claimed that he has decent dancing skills turned out to be the worst and dragged the whole team down. If not for him, they would have gotten enough rest. On the other hand, the Rapper turned out to be talented in dance.

Ro Jongsu, who explained the rules to the participants backed then, now acted as the announcer.

The first thing he did after grabbing the mic is announcing that the evaluations will start with the former trainees, making them feel stressed all of a sudden as it was supposed to be the newbies who should be performing first.

Since the recording won't air, he skipped the introductions and directly started to call the first performer.

"Our first contestant is Son Chaeyoung. Please come on to the stage."

Jun's hairs stood up for a second as soon as he heard the name. He can't help but turn his head to the side as a girl stood up from her seat.

She has a bob hair cut and wore a simple t-shirt and short jeans with high heel boots.

With a couple of bands on her left hand, somehow, everyone immediately thought she's a rapper.

Meanwhile, Jun stared at this counterpart of the twice's rapper.

She bowed and greeted the judges. "Hello, my name is Son Chaeyoung and I'm 15."

Looking at her, JYP had this proud smile on his face.

He quickly picked up the mic and addressed her, "Chaeyoung-ah. How is your health now?"

It surprised everyone, including Jun.

His comment made many of them speculate that both of them might know each other. Along with Jun, some thought whether this teenager was a former trainee of Echo Entertainment.

Chaeyoung responded with a smile, "I'm fine, PD-nim."

JYP didn't bother to give an explanation since the Brave brothers and YG already knew of their relationship.

Chaeyoung joined at Echo at the age of 13 and trained for 2 years before she left due to health issues.

Jun didn't know of it but as a hardcore fan of twice, he indeed came to a wrong conclusion. 'First, Dahyun. Then, Nayeon and now, Chaeyoung… Fate is really putting all of twice members in my life. I wonder when I will get to meet my goddess…'

Just imagining her picture made Jun relax his mind, decreasing the stress caused by their upcoming performance.

Meanwhile, Chaeyoung started to perform freestyle rap.

Jun can't help but nodding his head until the end, surprising his teammates a little bit since they knew Jun don't favor to listening fast-tempo raps.

But, then again, since it's only been a week, they didn't think too much about it and clapped along with others after her great start.

This time, JYP didn't speak anything and told her to get back to her seat while they wrote down the scores.
