3 Chapter 2: [Ruins]

Walking past the green patch of grass, he went through the purple gate.

The room beyond had two stairs leading to an open archway, and piles of rose petals between them.

In the middle of the room, rose petals were aligned in a rectangular shape.

He walking toward the right stair, until he noticed something in the piles of rose petals.

Reaching inside,

he grabbed something irregular.

Pulling it out, he identified it as a

ruby - red rose trimmed on the edge with sapphire - blue, and lushing gold.

'Such a beautiful, and natural rose...'

He admired.

He wanted to keep the rose, but he didn't know where to put it.

He didn't have pockets on his shirt, and he knew it would die in his pants.

Than he realised something, and face palmed.

'Inventory'

A panel materialised infront of him, but this one had slots.

He pressed a slot with his hand, but it didn't do anything. Looking at the panel in thought, he came to another method.

'Maybe it only works with a item at hand? '

With the rose in his hand, he pressed one of the slots.

The rose began to levitate, and than it vanished inside his inventory.

'That's pretty neat' He saved it into his mind,

so it didn't become an inconvenience later on.

He closed his inventory,

walked up the stairs, and into the next room.

Inside the room were,

six pressure plates, one lever,

and a sign on the wall.

"This must be a puzzle" He muttered under his breath.

Kamilo first went to the sign, and read it out.

"Only the fearless may proceed. Brave ones, foolish ones. Both not walk the middle path... This is too easy"

Walking over to the pressure plates, he pressed on the left and right,

but not the middle.

Hearing the movement of stone, he looked at the stone door.

It had begun to move, and it slowly opened up all the way.

'The puzzles are easy for now,

but it will most certainly get harder later on' He thought, walking past the stone door.

The room was now a long hallway, and it had a light purple path.

Seeing a sign, he walked forward and read it.

"Read the signs, no der"

He sarcastically commented.

Noticing another sign, he went over and read it.

"Stay on the path"

Looking down the light purple path,

he saw the levers and writing,

the rows of spikes at the end,

and beyond... he couldn't make out.

Walking over the bridge,

he read the writings beside the levers.

"Please press this switch -Toriel?

She must be the guide for beginners...

I mean... a part of her name is in the word; Tu - Torial"

Kamilo followed the instructions, and pressed the switches with the arrows pointing at them.

Shing*

After the spikes came down, Kamilo continued onwards.

Beyond the spikes was a room with a single dummy, and another open path leading into another room.

Kamilo ignored the dummy and was about to continue, but a panel stopped him in his tracks.

[Quest:

    The Punching Bag

  Rewards: -Depends On Damage-]

'The quest is pretty easy,

I'm sure this is the newbie quest'

Staring at the dummy, he imagined it as a real enemy. He took a deep breath, and began attacking ferociously.

While attacking, he was calm and collected, allowing him to hit the dummy as hard and accurate as he could.

Although he was restraining his movements due to his wounded left shoulder, his punches and kicks were still a blur to the simple man

Not even an hour had past, before he released a devastating and lethal kick to the dummy.

Crack*

The kick had broken the wooden pole, and launched the dummy flying with a gap in it's stomach.

Huff* Puff*

Kamilo, felt fatigue, sweat, and the aching of his body.

His right leg was pained from the kick, and his left arm released dull pains from his movements.

'It seems my previous mucle memories have been imbedded into my current one, causing it to try to match the mucle memories.

It will lower my stamina, but it should accelerate the growth of my mucles'

Ding!*

It took him less than a second to read it, before he dashed toward the monster and punch it into the wall.

When it landed on the floor, he could see that it's eyes were... watery?

'It... couldn't have.. emotions...

could it?'

He questioned while ignoring the pain from his left arm.

Ribbit* Ribbit* Ribbit!*

Behind the froggit,

white flies manifested and were launched at him.

The flies were slow, slow enough for him to just run past them,

and get into striking range.

When he launched a punch,

the froggit's eyes were filled with fear.

He punched, and kicked the froggit ruthlessly.

It didn't take long before it passed out, with it's health in the red.

[Mercy] Or [Kill]

Kamilo, raised right leg above it's head, about to finish it off.

He hesitated, he felt sorta guilty for randomly punching the froggit.

'I know.. I'm supposed to kill monsters to gain experience points and money.... but.. I don't think I'm meant for mindlessly killing just for my benefit'

He sighed, before pressing the spare button.

[Earned: 1 exp and 1 credits]

Seeing the notification, he sighed in relief.

He may have not gained the full reward, but at least he didn't need to actually kill to level up.

'Guess I don't need to really kill monsters, well... unless I have to'

He silently thought.

He took one more glance at the unconscious body of the froggit, before heading on.

Seeing a sign on the left wall, he read it aloud.

"The western room is the eastern room's blueprint..."  Kamilo saw a long path filled with spikes, and he thought back to when he first entered the room.

'The pattern of the path in the western room, must exactly show us the correct path...'

Kamilo remembered the strange patterns on the path he was on, and assumed it was the way to go.

Following his memory, he walked forward, than left, right, right, left, and than left.

....⬆➡⬇....⬆➡

➡...➡ ➡ ➡....

"That was easier than I thought..." Kamilo admitted, before continuing on.
