2 Chapter 2- The Primordial Sin System (Revised)

Chapter 2 - The Primordial Sin System

Dave quickly collected his thoughts upon seeing his father and replied, "Oh, right! I'll get up, Dad."

His father, accustomed to this exchange, simply stated, "I've already transferred a million gold coins to your bank account for your weekly expenses, so feel free to use it as you see fit."

Lucas then opened the door to leave but added before his departure, "If you need anything, don't hesitate to call me."

Dave was enveloped in a sense of warmth by his father's caring demeanor. In his previous life, he had been consistently overlooked by his parents, who showed clear favoritism towards his siblings.

Dave's family was exceedingly affluent, evident by his staggering weekly allowance of one million gold coins. To put it in perspective, that amount could provide sustenance for a thousand families for three years.

Dave's financial situation was so comfortable that he could have lived a life of leisure without any need for active endeavors until he reached old age, thanks to the immense wealth bestowed upon him by his father.

Despite being indulged by his father, Dave had a disciplined upbringing, instilling values that forbade him from mistreating the vulnerable and emphasized the importance of showing respect to those who had earned it.

His father's strictness in these matters shaped Dave's character, nurturing both a sense of responsibility and a strong moral compass.

After watching his father exit the room, Dave was left to contemplate the profound responsibility and the privileged life he now led.

It was a stark departure from his previous life when he had been impoverished and vulnerable, often subjected to disdain from those around him.

In that earlier existence, his parents had shown no concern for his welfare, leaving him to fend for himself in a world that had frequently looked down on him.

Dave's room exuded an air of grandeur and refinement that reflected his family's prestigious position.

Situated in a magnificent palace, it featured a color scheme of deep crimson and imperial gold, plush carpets, and walls adorned with historical tapestries.

Ornate wooden furniture, including a canopy bed and an intricately carved writing desk, added an air of opulence.

A grand fireplace, adorned with motifs of dragons and phoenixes, provided both warmth and a touch of regal elegance.

Dave stretched his arms and rose from his seat, his gaze drawn to the mirror.

There, he beheld a face that exuded an effortless charm, capable of making anyone feel inadequate in comparison.

His fair complexion radiated an aura of pure refinement. With fiery red hair cascading down to his shoulders, standing at an impressive six feet in height, and boasting a sculpted physique with defined six-pack abs, Dave was a living embodiment of physical perfection.

His eyes, a captivating shade of sapphire blue, held a magnetic allure that could captivate anyone fortunate enough to meet his gaze.

At that moment, he finally comprehended why he had earned the title of "The most handsome guy in the empire."

Dave glanced down and breathed a sigh of relief as he assessed his lower half.

"Luckily," he mused, "It was still as huge as ever."

Dave proceeded to the bathroom, where he took a refreshing bath. The hot water enveloped him, soothing his body and mind as he prepared for the day ahead.

Emerging from the bathroom, Dave donned his school attire with an air of refinement and sophistication.

His clothes spoke volumes about his privileged status in the Dragon Empire.

He wore a crisp white shirt, perfectly tailored to his physique, which emphasized his broad shoulders and slender waist.

His trousers were impeccably pressed, and they fit him like a second skin, showcasing his toned legs.

Stepping out of his room, Dave made his way to his father's chamber to bid him farewell. The palace corridors seemed to acknowledge his presence, lined with majestic tapestries and bathed in soft, golden light, emphasizing the grandeur of the world he now inhabited.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

The carriage was in motion, propelled forward by a pair of majestic horses, their powerful strides pulling it smoothly along.

It was the mansion's diligent butler who held the reins and expertly guided the horses, ensuring Dave's journey was both comfortable and efficient.

While comfortably settled in the opulent carriage, a vehicle prepared for him by his father, Dave's thoughts drifted to the notion of possessing a system like the protagonists in the novels he had read.

Dave pondered his circumstances, his mind racing with newfound thoughts. "I must have some sort of advantage or cheat, considering I've been transmigrated, right?"

It was then, almost as if in response to his contemplation, that a metallic voice resounded in his mind.

[Welcome, host, to the Primordial Sin System.]

"Primordial Sin System?" Dave mused aloud, his initial excitement gradually giving way to a sense of unease.

He had read in numerous novels that systems were often the key to rapid growth and taking a protagonist to the pinnacle of life.

However, the name of this system felt strangely ominous, as if it were more suited for a villain rather than a hero.

[Do you want to start the system?] The system asked him.

"Yes," he replied, although he felt that something was amiss.

[The system is starting, please wait...]

[Ding! The system is complete, and you can now access the system features and check your status.]

[Ding! The shop has been opened.]

[You can check your status in your mind.]

He followed the system's instructions and said, "Status."

Suddenly, a holographic panel materialized in front of him.

The Sword Dragon Technique, bestowed upon him by his father, was an Emperor Level Technique.

"So, my stats are converted into numbers for easier comparison with others," Dave noted.

"What are the stats of an ordinary Body Refiner?" he inquired.

"[Ding! Processing...]"

"Wow, the difference is staggering," Dave remarked, taken aback by the vast disparity in stats.

He realized that he could overpower ordinary Body Refiners with little effort.

"Can you convert my father's stats?" he asked, his curiosity piqued about his father's strength.

[Your system level is insufficient], the system replied, dashing Dave's hopes of gaining insight into his father's formidable stats.

While his father's capabilities remained a mystery, it was now abundantly clear that his father possessed extraordinary power.

"Looks like I can be like some protagonist who crosses levels in fighting anyone above his level," Dave thought with a touch of excitement.

When the system offered him the beginner's pack, he accepted without hesitation, curious about what it might contain. The results were quite intriguing:

"[Ding! You've unlocked a new Skill - Magical Eyes]: It can see through other stats and illusions."

"[Ding! You've unlocked a new skill - Conceal]: It can make you invisible and costs 5 mana per minute."

"[Ding! The system also provides you with your own storage space.]"

Dave was then presented with an intriguing opportunity as the Primordial Sin System Roulette opened.

"[Click yes to get your first Primordial Sin]"

Without a moment's hesitation, Dave replied with an eager "yes."

"[Ding! You've unlocked your first Primordial Sin - Sin of Lust]"

"[You've Gained a new skill - Charm] (It can attract and charm anyone with weak will powers towards the host (-5 mana per minute)."

"[You've Gained a new skill - Hands of Pleasure] (If you activate this skill, they will suddenly feel lustful) (-10 mana per minute)."

"[You've Gained a new skill - Dual Cultivation (You can absorb the power of the woman you have dual cultivated with and it also makes the woman stronger)."

With a sense of amusement, Dave commented, "Oh, Sin of Lust? Really? I feel like I'm the antagonist here," acknowledging the unconventional nature of the skills he had acquired.

His updated status now reflected these changes:

Dave was gradually adapting to the workings of the system, even if it was taking him down an unanticipated path.
