15 Character Creation [Part 4]

"WHAT!? There are races other than human?"

Ulric raised a brow, surprised by the young man's shout. Momentarily, he was confused by what the young man meant before remembering he previously lived in a world of Humans. And the Humans in that world did not classify other Races like animals as a Race…

"Yes, in the vast multiverse, a planet like Earth where only a single sentient Race resides is quite rare."

Austin did not know what to say. He was too shocked by the revelation that sentient Races other than Humans existed.

'To think aliens truly exist. I wonder if the government already knew about other Races besides Humans?' He mused, before continuing in disdain 'Tch, they probably have them locked up and experimented on in Area 51.'

After a while, Ulric asked, "Would you like for me to explain about the Races?"

Austin frowned.

"Knowing about other Races wouldn't help my chances of getting a good Race."

He paused and then continued.

"What would even be the point? ...Knowing about other Races would only depress me." With his terrible luck, he knew he would get the worst Race.

Ulric wryly smiled at the young man's suddenly depressed mood. Though, it would be a lie if he said he did not understand why the boy was sullen. Austin's luck was absolutely terrible.

"Young Austin, though you are right about your luck not increasing, surely knowing information about the strengths and weaknesses of other Races would be helpful in your next life."

"..." Veins began to bulge on Austin's forehead.

'Calm down… you can do this.' He reminded himself that it would be over soon. Once he reincarnated, he would never have to see the old man.

*Sigh*

Austin sighed and then nodded.

"You're right. It would be good if I knew a bit more information regarding the world I will be reincarnating in… and possibly what would lead to its destruction…" Austin said, hinting for the old man to give him some information regarding the soon-to-be destroyed world.

*Cough*

Ulric coughed and turned his head away.

"Tch, just explain about the Races." Austin knew the old man wouldn't explain anything he didn't want or couldn't.

'To think Gods are so weak." Austin scoffed 'And he's even supposed to be a big shot among the other Gods.'

'...Doesn't that mean Gods aren't all that great?'

Austin visibly frowned and then shook his head, realizing that he was most likely incorrect in his way of thinking.

"Oi brat, do you want to learn about other Races or continue to insult the Gods? You're lucky my home is well protected with a barrier that prevents other God's or equivalent Beings from spying."

Austin rolled his eyes but then his eyes narrowed, "What do you mean by 'equivalent Beings'?"

Ulric remained silent, while internally cursing himself for spilling more information.

"Tsk, just explain what you can."

Ulric internally thanked the young man for his tact. Many things were too soon for the young man to know.

"Where should I start?" He stroked his beard as he thought out loud.

Austin remained silent and listened. He understood that the more he spoke, the more they would go off trail.

His time was limited. He didn't want some bullshit auto-selection to decide his fate.

He wanted to keep his silver hair and blue eyes.

At least, he had full control over the colors of his hair and eyes.

*Slap*

Ulric slapped his thigh.

"Let's start with one of my favorite Races. The Elf Race, a race that is the envy of all, for their unequal beauty and talent in magic -"

Austin's eyes widened in shock.

"WHAT MAGIC!?" Austin interjected, "Magic as in being able to shoot fireballs, flying, and teleporting!?" He asked just to be sure.

Austin's heart raced with excitement as he waited for confirmation.

Magic had always been considered a fairy tale back on Earth.

Everyone knew... mostly everyone knew that magic was fake.

Even though magic was fake, that didn't ruin the fun of imagining magic. When he lived in the orphanage, he and the other children would spend their time pretending to be mages.

His favorite game involved a hero and his party saving the damsel in distress from the clutches of a monstrous dragon.

After being adopted, his fascination with magic had not lessened, it had only increased in intensity after being introduced to video games with magic.

"Hmm?" Ulric was confused by the kid's sudden outburst before realizing his blunder... he never told him he would be reincarnated into a world of Magic.

He awkwardly chuckled, "Ehhh… I forgot hahaha! Whatever, you shouldn't sweat the small stuff, okay? You will understand with due time in your next life."

."..." Austin's right eye twitched in annoyance, he felt like cursing but reigned in the impulse knowing it would do him no good but merely harm. After all, what if the old man changes his mind and doesn't choose him? His hope of reuniting with his family would go down the drain. He might not even have a Soul allowing him to wallow in pity.

Most importantly, though Ulric did not explain, Austin still got his confirmation that magic existed in the world he would be reborn in.

"*Cough* Like I was saying, Elves are an enviable Race, but their attitude is quite revolting. Just thinking about it…" He paused, and someone he would rather not think about appeared in his mind before the figure overlapped with an Elven woman "But their looks hehehe *Gulp*"

Austin started wondering if he had made the right choice in helping this Pervert God.

Despite, losing himself in sudden lust over Elven women his eyes had never left the young man so he understood what he was thinking; however instead of berating him… hehehe, why not convert him?

He walked over to the front of the young man, placed his arm over the boy's shoulders, and directed his gaze back to the monitor.

He pointed to the monitor with an almost drooling mouth.

"Take a look"
