4 Solana city

Somewhere in the Raven Kingdom, a handsome young man could be seen walking toward the city of Solana. After meeting with Xin and Yuan, William came to know many things about his current situation. First of all, he woke up after five hundred years and secondly he was surrounded by the humans. This place was new to him and he hadn't even heard about the Raven Kingdom as long as his memory serves. Various things were running through Williams's mind but he ignored all of those things and started to walk toward the city.

It took him a few moments to reach the city gate of Solana,Two guards could be seen watching William from the watchtower.

Seeing the young man who looked very different from the locals, both guards became confused and exchanged glances with each other. Moreover, the city gate was already closed because of the rule that Baroness made that no one allowed to enter inside the city after dawn.

"Who the hell are you? What are you doing here? Don't you know that no one is allowed to enter the city after 6 pm? You don't seem to belong to this city, where did you come from?" One of the guards shouted at the top of the lungs and asked William multiple questions in one breath.

Upon hearing him, William smiled and scratched the back of his head.

"I am sorry,I am just passing by from here. Can you please let me enter? I am very hungry and thirsty, I haven't eaten anything for a very long time. I will be very grateful if you let me in." William responded to the guard who asked him those questions, both of the guards exchanged glances and collectively took a deep sigh.

"Look mate, we feel bad for you, but you should know that there are some iron-clad rules to which we are completely bound. That's why we can't let you in even if we want to. If we let you in and somebody found out about it, then we are going to lose our jobs. We also have a family to feed after all. And lately, lots of weird things happening around the city, so Lady Malenia gave strict orders to not let anyone in after the evening." The other guard who was standing in the other watchtower said.

"Lady Malenia huh," William whispered as he heard the name from that guard's mouth.

The way he took the name of that lady showed how respectful he was towards her. She was probably an important figure for these guards.

"Well, I understand, I don't want to put you guys in trouble." William smiled as he looked at those guards. Seeing the beautiful smile on William's handsome face, the faces of both guards turned slightly red. Indeed, they had never seen a handsome man like William, especially since he had silver hair that was not common inside the Raven Kingdom. They were in awe after noticing William's appearance. He looked like he belonged to some wealthy family or clan.

After responding to those two guards, William started heading back but the moment he turned back, he had a smirk on his face, as if he was waiting for something to happen. Soon enough, he heard a voice calling him behind his back.

"Wait, there might be something we can do for you. After all, you don't seem to be a bad person and you really look like you are in need. So, look mate, in a few minutes a party of hunters is about to depart from the city. We will let you in when we open the gate for them. Just wait here for a few minutes and make sure you hide behind those trees when we open the gate. We don't want to get in trouble." One of the guards said as he looked at William with a serious expression on his face. William nodded his head with a smile in response.

"I appreciate your help. Both of you are so kind, thank you for giving me permission to enter the city. After all, I am bound by the ancient rules." William said with a smile and the next moment, he appeared right next to the guard. The guard's heart nearly skipped a beat when he saw William next to him. After all, a moment ago he was on the ground and now he appeared in front of him like a ghost. This led to the guard's face turning pale.

"Don't worry, I am not going to harm you. Both of you are good men, now look into my eyes." William said as he looked at the guard with a calm gaze. When that guard looked into Williams' eyes, he became stiff. The next moment William appeared in front of the other guard and the same thing happened to him. Then, William jumped from the watchtower and appeared on the city ground instantly and then he disappeared from that place.

Soon, both of the guards came to their senses and looked at each other with a dazed look, "Did something happen a few moments ago, why I am feeling tired?" One of the guards asked the other.

"Yeah, me too, this job is pretty tiring, standing in one place like a fool. But man we don't have any other job. We are lucky to have this job, otherwise, how will we feed our family in these tough times, where everyone is fighting for a packet of grains and rice." The other guard responded. Both of them completely forgot what happened to them a few moments ago.

At the same time, a young man wearing a black suit was walking deep inside the city with a beautiful smile on his face,

"This feels strange. On my way here, I met a few people who were very kind to me. This city is brimming with humble people, I can sense it by looking at their faces. Despite their struggles, they are trying very hard to keep it up, I like it. But there is also something sinister in the air of this city. What could it be? Well, not my concern.

After all, I don't have anything to do with humans. They operate in different ways and sometimes, can be really monstrous. That's in their nature, I just need some good food to fill my belly." William mumbled to himself as he followed his nose and started venturing around the city to eat something delicious.

Although he was getting the attention of every single woman, he ignored all their gazes in pursuit of delicious food. Even after he left, they kept looking at William with a slightly red face but William didn't bother to turn back to them as he kept walking and following his nose.

"Well, I learned a few things about the city after reading those guards' minds. The place where these humans eat is called a food stall and there are some hotels inside this city that serve food and allow others to rent a room as well.

Since I need someplace to stay and I need to find out what happened to my people and where I am currently, I can try staying at one of these hotels. Weirdly, I am getting the feeling that I am far from home." William mumbled and after a little stroll, arrived at a small hotel somewhere pretty far from the main city.
