1 wake up

my world went from dark to fuzzy quick, I had a noticeable lacking in my depth perception, I thought it was because of something in my eye but when I went to rub it the only thing that came up was a weird looking...something?

I tried to move my hand but the only thing that moved was this weird thing in front of me, it was long and sorta thin and it came to a point, it had this weird clear liquid on it that I had no clue what it was, just what is going on here?

a sorta see through screen popped up right in front of me, it said you on the top and had a picture along with some measurements, this is weird.

it showed a ball like creature with nine tentacles, two of them were the ones that were sorta thin and came to a point the other seven were similar looking except all of them had some sort of sharp bone growth on the tips.

in the center on the tentacles was a ball, the front of it was mostly covered by an eye with a dark redish iris and visible veins, the tiny mouth underneath full of razor sharp fang like teeth.

the creature was a sickly gray color and it looked constantly soaked.

"that's me?!"(tentacle monster)

"why do you sound excited this isn't supposed to be happening!"(tentacle monster)

I couldn't even blurt out anything before I felt myself being aggressively yanked upwards and spun around.

"just what is this thing? it's so cool!"(female human)

I tried to attack but my tentacle just bounced off of the girls arm, humiliating.

"can you guys uh put me down...please?"(tentacle monster)

"woah! it talks, I gotta tame it!"(female human)

"cause you're cool that's why."(female human)

"I wasn't talking to you!"(tentacle monster)

I do, fuck! because I was checking all these out I missed the fact that this girl finished her taming ritual, she even named me gah!

out of everything she went with fog, really?

not only that but to make things worse she was carrying me like am adorable newfound lost puppy, the guy of course was laughing at the expression I was making.

all I could do was roll my one eye, something told me that this was going to be more trouble than it was worth.

it took about an hour for the two to walk out of the forest, arriving at a large dirt road.

they looked both ways at the treeline for a sec before emerging, something about It felt weird to me.

I did my own looking around which wasn't easy considering this strange girl wouldn't put me down.

she gave me this odd glance as we were walking, the kind I'd never seen before.

I wanted to nod in confirmation of the strange lady voice in my head but I couldn't actually nod, a sad day indeed.

man this was getting boring the two humans had been walking down this road for a while, how much longer did I have to put up with it?

"yeah I'd say the job was done a while ago."(male human)

"all you adventurers are the same."(Amira) harrumphed at the dude.

the guy just waved back at the girl as he started walking away, he didn't seem too bad.

after he left and his figure faded into the horizon me and the girl just kept going, she had somewhere she clearly wanted to reach and soon.

"where are we going?"(fog)

"back to my town, look the guild doesn't need to know you're intelligent, for now let's keep that between us."(Amira)

"no argument here, whats the deal with this whole guild thing?"(fog)

"I'm part of a Tamers guild we're kinda like the adventurers guild but we use bonded animals in combat, also our jobs are much more random then the adventurers guild."(Amira)

"that was totally helpful."(fog)

"was that sarcasm?!"(Amira)

"I didn't think you would be able to tell."(fog)

"how smart truly are you?"(Amira)

"well I'm no genius."(fog)

"I need to study you, of course if you'd let me, you do have free will here of course."(Amira)

"I don't know, not sure I trust you here."(fog)
