72 A Call

The next day, after resolving the issue with the dark entity, Anton uploaded the report on the dark entity to the general database of the Light Association. "So that's how it happened; the truth is that handling that dark entity was very challenging." Rafael and Anton were in a private room at a luxurious restaurant.

Anton would lie if he said he felt something when he killed Sara, who embodied the dark entity in the body of a non-existent girl. But in his eyes and feelings, things became difficult to accept after that situation. When he slept, his dreams were filled with scenarios where he relived things he always wanted to forget, repeating endless suffering until he woke up.

But once Anton remembered he was in the real world, he needed to make many preparations in case any of the demons he had eliminated from the human world came to seek him out for elimination. He had many enemies who were neither alive nor dead, demons that could come to the human world once they found a passage, so he had to be careful not to be visited by them in the future.

While discussing trivial training topics, Anton, who needed to clear his mind, returned to the church where he worked as an exorcist priest and, theoretically, where his new domain was associated and would be remodeled within appropriate parameters.

Walking through dark corridors, Anton entered a room on the second floor and looked at many shelves in the warehouse filled with various weapons, firearms, swords, knives, ammunition, and many other things.

Looking at the beautifully arranged weapons, Anton, who was now in a completely new world, smiled slightly bitterly. "It's just a job..." Anton muttered these words before leaving the room. "Good night..."

This was his daily life, and most days unfolded in this way. He hoped it wouldn't be like this until he died, but when he remembered that this was a second chance to live solely and exclusively to clean up all his messes, he had to endure and wait to find an end to this dark path.

Upon returning to the church at night, there was no conversation, so at this point, Anton set out to return home to care for and tend to the trees that would be ready to be planted on the church grounds around the city.

Initially, in the morning, he heard the problems expressed by five different people. These so-called problems were of no concern, basically stemming from the potholes in their lives like economic depression, communication problems between parents and children, the challenging work of raising children, and feelings of deceit.

According to the confessions of the believers, he would also give his own suggestions and comfort, like an air conditioner that might give them the push they needed to solve those problems. Unfortunately, since that occasion, there had been no mission on his attributes panel; it disappeared as if it had never existed.

When the last believer was about to leave, a young woman who had recently married said, "Father Anton, my brother's birthday will be celebrated in a few days. Do you think you can come and participate?"

Upon hearing that question, Anton thought about his personal schedule and did not refuse. "If I'm free that day, I'll definitely drop by."

The young woman nodded with a very enthusiastic smile, excited to invite Anton. "I understand, Father Anton, we'll send someone to pick you up when the time comes."

Anton nodded while smiling at the young woman, who was probably living the best years of her life. "May the light always be on your side."

After bidding farewell to the last believer, Anton returned to the altar in the hallway, taking out his vibrating cell phone as he walked. "Dear Priest, I have sent you information about the gang of idiots who killed that man. The list goes down to the root, so it will be your decision how far you want to go."

The information about the people who had killed old Smith was sent as soon as Moon called him, and in just a matter of seconds, Anton could see his first target. Truth be told, he couldn't wait to receive this information. After all, he had seen the determination of an old man and believed that this was also a way to eliminate evil. If he didn't finish the job that Old Smith started, he would feel a bit guilty.

Upon hearing this information, he quickly left the church and got into his car, parked not far away. Inside was a computer, and he began to review the information Moon had sent him. Logging into a secret account, he opened the email in the same way he had on his cell phone and saw the content.

Dozens of folders with information had been sent to him in great detail, which left Anton very satisfied. "There was no need to write the names of the pets of each person I'm going to kill," Anton said as he closed the computer and started the car's engine.

Moon, who had heard those words, ended the call and went to play video games. What Anton did was none of her business, so with the money she had earned, she could live for a few years in the darkness.

Upon arriving home, Anton went straight to the basement, where an old man was waiting for him. "You came back sooner than expected, Mr. Anton."

Anton took off his coat and said, "Well, I think I'm going to use the suit."

"Is it starting?"

"Yes, are you ready?"

The old man nodded and walked to a display case where there were two suits, one with thick white fabric and another completely black, that seemed to be made of very advanced armor. "As you requested, a combat suit for the day, lighter with more traditional weapons, and one for the night."

Looking at those two suits, Anton smiled, and his eyes focused on the black one. "Do they have any names? You've created two wonderful works; you should give them names."

"The black suit is called Snake Eyes. Its helmet has very high armor and technology that allows you not to hear the sounds of explosions, stun bombs, or the sound of the high-caliber shots you'll handle." The old man said this while opening the compartment where the black suit was stored.

Anton walked over and held a double-edged black sword, nodding as he saw that there was enough sharpness to cut off a man's head. "You asked me not to expose any part of my body, so both suits are good, but at night you should wear Snake Eyes, who has armor five times better than the most advanced bulletproof vests of soldiers. As you mentioned that weight doesn't matter, it will carry two pistols, one on each leg, paired with a sword and two daggers for tearing, and an automatic weapon."

Looking at all the weaponry that this suit carried, Anton nodded and said, "Then I'll use it tonight. Thank you for your work, sir."

"Try not to damage it too much, and remember that the armor wears out as bullets hit the suit."

"I'll keep that in mind."
