37 Crocus pt. 2

Crocus looked at Thirteen in bandages as the two people on the deck jumped up and swam away. He said "You. Tiger boy, come with me." Thirteen looked at him and he stood there waiting. Thirteen slowly got up and followed him, Luffy looked at the whale and Nami followed after Crocus, asking "What did you say about a log pose?" while Usopp was fixing the ship, Sanji was smoking, and Zoro slept.

Thirteen entered the lighthouse and Crocus pointed to a chair, saying "Sit." Thirteen sat down and Nami sat on another chair, looking around. Crocus left and came back with a box and a Logpose.

It was a circular glass ball with a bracelet attached, Crocus explained "That's the only compass that will work on the Grandline. The rest of em just go haywire because each island has its own magnetic field…" Nami listened carefully at the entire explanation as Crocus opened the box and took out medical supplies, tearing the bandages off of Thirteen.

Thirteen looked at Crocus and tensed up, Crocus looked at Thirteen before continuing. He looked at Thirteen's upper body, front and back, while explaining to Nami. Thirteen watched as Crocus showed no reaction to his brand or scars and simply cleaned his wounds before stitching what needed to be stitched and applying proper medical techniques.

Crocus finished his speech and Nami was engrossed in the info, walking outside, saying "Thanks!" Crocus nodded at her before looking at Thirteen and continuing in silence. Thirteen didn't even flinch once but his tail was straight out and his body was tensed up.

Crocus said lightly "It's much harder to do this when you're tensed up like that." Thirteen looked at him and he looked back, blinking once. Thirteen turned back and stayed tense, while Crocus sighed and continued.

When Crocus was done, he bandaged Thirteen up, adding "How's your mother?" Thirteen froze and stared at Crocus, who said "I knew your father." while packing up his medical kit and putting it away.

Thirteen stayed silent and Crocus came back with a picture, he handed it to Thirteen, pointing himself out.

Thirteen looked and saw Crocus standing next to a tall and muscular… Tiger. The tiger was standing on two legs and had red fur. His face was a tiger's face but more human-like than the animal, though his fangs still showed as he was laughing and slapping another man's back. The other man looked extremely angry at the Tiger in the picture, yelling at him while the photo was taken.

In the middle of the entire group of dozens of people, there was a man with a long mustache, who was pointing at the angry man and laughing so hard there were tears in his eyes and he was hunched over.

Thirteen looked at the Tiger man in the picture before he started shaking and handed the picture back, looking away with clenched fists. Crocus took back the picture and Thirteen said "My mother's dead." Crocus looked surprised and replied "That's a shame. She was a real nice lady."

He never brought up anything about the brand or even mentioned it.

Thirteen got up and walked away, when Crocus grabbed his shoulder and handed him a piece of white paper, saying "This is my vivre card. If you want to go back to Zou, come and find me." Thirteen looked at the Vivre card and then at Crocus, who said "The Vivre card will point you in my direction wherever I am. Zou is where your father probably is…" before sighing and adding "It's a shame what happened to you. 600 million is a big amount of money, you should be careful, kid."

Thirteen turned around and looked at the Vivre card for a second before leaving the lighthouse. Crocus watched him go and sighed again "What a hassle… From the brat that used to call me Flowey to this…" he shook his head and walked out after him to see Luffy painting on Laboon, the whale, and Usopp yelling at him.

Nami was kicking Sanji over and over with a broken Logpose on her wrist, while Zoro was laughing at him to the side.

Thirteen walked over to the ship and passed by Usopp before walking into the cabin. He walked down the stairs and into a room with '13' carved into the door.

Inside the room was a bed and a dresser, nothing more, nothing less. Even the bed only had a blanket on it. The walls were bare and there were no decorations. The only thing inside was a backpack with a red ribbon tied to one of the straps.

Thirteen walked to the bag and put the Vivre card inside his Devil Fruit book before sitting on the bed, staring at the floor.

He stayed like that until the ship started moving again. He looked out the window and got up before leaving the cabin, going back to the deck as it was his training time.
