1 Prologue: Part 1 Reeh M Huss

Reeh M Huss woke up with his head in severe pain. He found himself in a place of whiteness that extends over the distance, seemingly endless.

'Where am I? I seem to be floating but I feel my feet touching something that is similar to solid ground' Reeh thought to himself concerned and confused.

{Well my dear Candidate, you are currently in one of my subconscious.} A Voice answered behind Reeh surprising him.

"Who said that?" said Reeh as he turned around. After turning, Reeh saw a blurry figure that is approximately 3 meters tall peering over him. The figure produced an aura of dominance and absolute power.

{Not a 'Who', but a 'What' my dear Candidate}, the figure replied. {Your people call me God. Not just an ordinary god, but The God that rules over this section of the universe. Most of the living beings located in this sector knows me as the 'Overlord'. The being that watches, rules, and defends the organisms living in my domain.}

Reeh was overwhelmed not only with the information that he had just received but also with the power that reverberated from the being's voice that could penetrate through Reeh's very soul.

'Wait, my soul?'

{Yes my dear candidate, your soul. That is the form that you are currently in because I had just transferred your soul here right after you have died.}

After the figure finished speaking, memories of what happened to Reeh resurfaced.

He was a man who was above average in everything that he did and partook in but never excelled in any of them. He was born in a middle class family and was the second child out of four siblings. He would always get grades of 70% to 90% when he was in school and he would always find himself between the middle and the eleventh place rank in every sporting events that he joined, never once getting tenth place or above. He then graduated high school and got into a pretty good university with a gracious scholarship. Everything was more than average, even the way he died which was getting hit by a pink elementary school bus that was overtaken by a terrorist group called 'Truck-kun Enthusiasts' that could be considered a cult because of their belief that them running over people will enable those people to have a better life in their next reincarnation.

Reeh felt that everything that happened was surreal, especially the way that he died. He couldn't believe that he is dead, especially learning that he died in that way, leaving his family alone and not accomplishing anything great in his life. Tears couldn't help but fall on his face, mostly because of how he died.

{And that is where I come in my dear Candidate} said the figure, disrupting Reeh from his moment of deprivation. {You see, I have chosen you to be the candidate to be the next-in-line Me. For you to take over everything that I have, my domain and responsibilities as I strive for greater heights. All you have to do is pass all of my tests.}

"Tests?" Reeh asked for clarification as he wiped the tears off of his face.

{Yes, tests, five to be exact. Each of them with different scenarios and difficulties. Pass all of them and you will rule over trillions. Fail one and you will forget everything that happened as you go back to the cycle of reincarnation.} the figure explained in a casual manner.

"Why me? What's so special about me?"

{My dear Candidate, you are the 132465879th candidate that I have chosen. All of the previous candidates that took the tests failed with only 4 coming close to passing. This shows how difficult it is for one to pass the tests to take over my position. There is not really anything special about you except for your strong desire in wanting to have a better life. And taking these tests will allow you to live a life with no regrets and that is the truth, coming from all of the previous candidates.}
