Maelstrom in Eldrich City

The darkness has fallen as the stars filled the night skies one by one. The squad went back to their house by riding on Sebastian's car, however, none of them were smiling throughout the ride – Emily was watching the trees pass by them, Becca was checking out the car's interior, Rocco was watching the stars shine bright and Andre was deeply slumbering. The silence was so horrible, and so as the unpleasant atmosphere. Sebastian hurried as fast as he could so that they could rest at home and improve their mood. As soon as they got home, Andre, Becca, and Emily went inside to sleep while Rocco stayed outside to watch the evening scenery with Sebastian by his side.

"Hey, buddy. We will figure this out soon enough okay?" muttered by Sebastian as he lay his left hand on Rocco's back. "You want to be a normal person again right?" Sebastian asked, looking serious at him.

"Yeah… I do." Rocco muttered, still gazing at the stars.

"Then let's get stronger and find the bug that caused this mess… And we can go back to how we all used to be." Sebastian replied with a warm smile; Rocco looked at him and smiled back as if he already agreed to what he said. "Come on, let's get back inside." added by Sebastian while tapping him. They started walking, headed to their house.

As they got in, Rocco met eyes with Emily who seemed to wait for them to get inside while sitting on the couch. Sebastian gave him one last tap on the back as a sign of 'I'm going' and went inside his room to sleep, in just a second, Emily approached him. "I hope that you're doing okay now, we will find the solution soon." she said and went inside her room on the second floor.

The night has passed and the sun already rose with all its glory, Andre was jogging outside and Becca was preparing a breakfast – five stacked round pancakes with a cube of butter on top, drizzled with honey. The other three members woke up and settled down on the brown polished and cushioned four-legged chair to fill their stomach. After their preparations, they gathered and summoned Ms. Jane to give them the present that she has for the squad.

"Good day S.A.B.E.R. Squad! For your present, well… it is not really that special. Er… Since Saber already has his own assassin emblem. I made you guys an emblem each, but not as strong as what he has for it is a drop and rare item. Still, this will be very beneficial for your fights as it will enhance your statistics. I have sent in your inventory four kinds of the emblem – Tank, marksman, support and mage emblem. Once you wear it, you'll feel a warm sensation inside your core which is a sign that you've absorbed the powers of the magical item." she said.

They let Emily do the honors in testing the items; she took the tank emblem and excitedly wore it. "I don't feel anything. There must be something wrong." complained by Emily as she tried removing and wearing it back repeatedly.

"That's because you wore the wrong emblem. You're a marksman so you should wear the marksman emblem." Ms. Jane answered. Emily passed the tank emblem to Sebastian; Becca wore the support emblem, Rocco put on his mage emblem and Emily wore hers as well. A warm sensation tingled the members as if there's a large pool of energy inside of them that is flowing from their head to their feet.

"This is really nice. I feel much better." Rocco said.

"Yes! It's kind of strange at first but it feels really good." Sebastian added as he tries to feel his heart while Becca, on the other hand, closed her eyes and imagined the energy flowing inside of her.

"Since I think you're ready for your next task, I'll now tell it to you. Your opponent is located at Eldrich City, 100 kilometers away from here. With those emblems helping you, I think you can handle this easily. Good luck!" Ms. Jane stated and vanished.

"That's really far from here." told by Becca as an imaginary map appeared in front of her eyes that shows the distance from where they are and to their destination.

"Yeah." Rocco responded.

"Don't worry, I got you guys!" Sebastian said with overflowing optimism as he stood up.

"You're so bright Seb! I can't see anymore!" Emily reacted and placed her hands in front of her eyes as if she's looking at a gleaming object; they burst out laughing and ambled until they reached the sidewalk of the road.

"Hop on!" spoken by Sebastian as he joined his arms and transformed into an eye-catching police car. Andre, Becca, Emily, and Rocco occupied the car and they hit the road with the radio on. A chilling ride it is, they were singing to the songs played on the radio while watching the places pass by their eyes.

As they got close by their target, a man was found running away from the catastrophe, and so they took the opportunity asked them about the situation in Eldrich. "It's chaotic! T-there's this like gigantic robot made of appliances taking over the city! A-and it's even getting bigger and bigger!" cried by the local citizen. Their vehicle slowed down as Andre peeked out of the window to see the enormous monster sending destruction in Eldrich.

"This is next level." Andre muttered with a nervous look for the very first time. They held hands as they wait for the car to reach a safe spot for them to prepare themselves for an extremely intense match. "This could be a life or death situation… If we lose, we're done." he added.

Their faces were devoured by worriedness and fear, there's only one chance and there's no going back. Before stepping out of the car, Emily took a deep breath and told her allies, "We can do it."
