It was as soon as I turned on the Xbox One. I felt more confident in myself, and like a totally different person. The first game I downloaded was Apex Legends. A popular battle game, that has recently been climbing the charts to the top 10. My handle is @Montedreams3, it is my stepdads account. I am a female, which made me unique to this type of environment. As soon as Apex was finished, I got on the app. I signed in, and saw my character for season 1, Wraith, waiting in the lobby with the original skin.

I looked at everything, checked all of the characters' perks. I decided I would play my first match. I pressed the 'Y' button to ready up and after 10 seconds of waiting, I was in a match. I didn't have a mic at the time, and I was basically a noob. I knew the basics, what to do, how to ping, what buttons to press for whatever action. I got really anxious to be playing my first match in Apex. I chose Wraith for my character because she had the perks I favored. When everyone was done choosing, it showed the champion from the last game. 'Wow! How is that person so good? I want to be like that'
