1 Incompetent husband, spoilt cousin

Julie stood by the door and took out the keys in her bag. She tried opening the door but it wouldn't open it was as though the door had a mind of its own.

Julie had a rough day at work she was just recently promoted as the head of the A&R [Artist and Repertoire department] at YN Entertainment where she has been working for five years.

Now that she was holding an important position she wanted to make the best of it.

Julie stared blankly at the door, she was tired and all she wanted to do was sleep, she missed her bed.

Julie slept at the office for two days straight preparing documents for the new president, she heard overheard the manager saying he was arrogant and spoilt. Julie hoped he wouldn't be a pain in her arse when he arrives, the former president Jerry Zachary stepped down due to heart disease and had to be transferred to a hospital in another city, he was thirty-eight and was single with no children to take over the position of presidency so his brother was to take over, Julie heavily admired Jerry, he had picked her for the job when no one saw her potentials and constantly had her promoted, she really appreciated him for it.

"Why won't it open", Julie mumbled under her breath, she squeezed the doorknob continuously

Jullie was getting frustrated, she deepened her hand in her bag and took out her phone about to call someone when she heard a clicking sound from the door.

Julie's eyebrows furrowed, she wasn't expecting anyone to be at home, her husband, Marlon wasn't supposed to be home due to a business trip and her cousin whom she had taken in was supposed to be at the academy and wasn't supposed to be home until the end of the year.

Jullie had reached out for the doorknob again, turned it, and pushed the door open, there was Marlon sitting comfortably on the sofa with a cold face, his arm crossed, and his hair was messy as tho he had just had sex, beside him Julie's cousin serenity, she had an expression on her face that Julie couldn't put her head around.

"you're home? I thought you wouldn't be home until the weekend", Julie asked confused, And you Serenity, aren't you supposed to be in school she asked and didn't get a reply.

"What happened to the doorknob? did you get it replaced?" Julie asked again but still no reply from any of them, all she received was a scrutinous gaze from them.

Something caught her eye by the corner, it was Julie's luggage, it was set up by the corner of the room well packed.

"Those are your things, take them and leave", she heard Marlon say.

Is this a joke, Julie couldn't believe she was being thrown out of her home, the House was given to them by Marlon's parent as a wedding gift, it was true that the house was under her husband's name but she had been the one paying the water bill, light bill, waste bill, including feeding for the past three years and now he was making her leave. Julie was completely taken aback by Marlon's words.

She felt dizzy instantly and staggered but held the door to support herself, thank God she didn't fall, it would have been embarrassing and it would have made Marlon think he had won.

"Are you ok? you look so pale, are you sure you're ok?", Serenity asked, seeing that she was getting into her skin she continued, "You can't really blame Marlon, you're already looking so old sis, your hair is always messy, your belly looks like that of an eight-month pregnant woman and Marlon need someone young and hot just like me, I just want him to feel good and if you think about it properly, it's better cheating on you with your sister than a total stranger", she said with her head high.

Julie was getting more irritated by her sister, she had caught Serenity and Marlon together in her matrimonial bed six months ago having sex, those days were her saddest days, they both asked for her forgiveness, and she forgave them cause she felt their apology to be sincere, she never believed Serenity would betray her again, even more so, take her husband and send her out of her home.

Serenity's parent died in a car accident three months after Julie's dad left her mom, Julie mom Being Serenity's only closest family took her in and they became more like sisters Then on, Julie's mother became ill two years later, and wasn't able to work anymore, she was getting transferred from hospitals to hospitals for treatment, Julie was left with the responsibility to care of her mother and to see serenity through school.

"I look so old because I have been working off my arse for you assholes! Julie yelled at the top of her voice.

She couldn't care less if she was shouting like her mad woman she just couldn't wait to tear these suckers apart for betraying her this way, but eventually, she realized she was being sneered at.

Geez, will you just take a chill pill? isn't it enough that you look this old in your twenties that you want to add madness to your collection? Serenity continued to lecture.

"You bitch!", Julie barked, she walked towards Serenity who was already standing beside Marlon, and raised her hand about the put a resounding slap on her face but Marlon caught her hand immediately and pushed it away.

You shouldn't do that, do you want to ruin her beautiful face, he said with a grin.
