8 I Love Her

Mr. and Mrs.Miller nodded in agreement with Aiden's words while Genesis focused on a more important matter….

' Did he just say ROOM as in ONE room?!' With this thought she started panicking."Heh I have things to take care of at home so I'll pass…" Instantly the room fell quiet and everyone turned to look at Genesis.

'Uh...did I say something wrong?' She thought.Mr. and Mrs.Miller didn't say anything and ignored her protest. Aiden did the same and just sat down to eat.

'Damn why do I always get myself into a mess?' She thought and silently ate her food."Genesis how is Ethan it has been a while since we met him." Mr.Miller asked. Genesis looked up at him."He has been fine just busy with company matters." Genesis answered."Hmm, invite him over on Saturday dear. We will be having a welcome party for Bae she is finally coming back home." Mrs.Miller announced.

"Son, make sure to bring Genesis along to meet her," Mr.Miller added, speaking to Aiden. Aiden only nodded in response.

They ate their dinner and would occasionally strike conversations. Whether about the company or their relationship but Genesis made sure to focus it on other than her. She is quite aware of how the Miller couple work. She knows they have been trying to stick her next to Aiden. As naive or innocent as she may come out as she is not an idiot.

She can tell what people mean by their words and understand their intentions. This is why she tries to be as invisible as possible with the Miller couple because if she were not playing dense with them she would probably already have been married off to Aiden.

But when it comes to Aiden and love for that matter she isn't good at anything. She has past experiences that she doesn't want to relieve. This is why she does her best to not get too attached to Aiden. He is after all not her first fiance. The 'love of her life' cheated on her before and she isn't willing to go through that again.

She learned to have friends and open up a little more than before but that does not change the fact that she has scars in her heart. The scars will never fade away. Even so she is proud of herself for making the process in just two years. One thing that is for sure is that she will use this new chance to be happy and truly live her life.

Genesis sighed and placed her fork down."Something wrong dear?" Mrs.Miller asked. Genesis smiled and shook her head."No everything is fine."

When she wanted to stand up Aiden placed his hand on top of hers. Genesis looked up to ask what happened but he stood up and scooped her off the chair. "I'll take you to our room." He told her."Uh no it's fine I can walk…"

Her words were in vain because he already started walking her upstairs."Son I'll meet you in the study room." Mr.Miller spoke and Aiden nodded.

Genesis sighed and held onto his shoulders for support. She took a peek at his handsome face but glanced away immediately.

Aiden opened the room and placed her in the bed. He stared straight into her eyes and then moved his gaze towards her full lips. Genesis froze. Aiden cleared his dry throat."Don't worry I'll sleep on the couch." Genesis simply nodded lost in his dark brown eyes. She blinked realizing she was still holding onto his shoulders."Ah sorry…" She let go at that instant.

Aiden did not move."I asked you a question before…." He told her."Does it make you uncomfortable?" He continued. Genesis stayed quiet for a second."Uh no it's just that I don't think it's proper…" She answered.

"Why is that?"He asked. His minty scent entering her nostrils making her head crazy. She cleared her throat."Because it's fake and it won't last." Aiden frowned at her words."Who told you that?" He asked.

"The engagement should be canceled as soon as I leave your guardianship and take on SY Industries again is it not?" She answered with another question.

Aiden took a breath to call down his annoyance." I think you have not understood. We are engaged and it will only end when we mutually agree on lifting it. Therefore, as my fiance you will be my wife and the only future Mrs.Miller.Understood?" He said this staring straight into her eyes. His lips brushed against hers because of the closeness.

Genesis' eyes widened in shock. Aiden lowered his eyes to her lips. He took on the bravest decision he has ever had to make. This either scares her away or will help him make her fall for him. Either way his decision was made.

He leaned in and pressed his lips against her slowly. For the first time in forever the great Aiden Miller felt insecure. He sucked her lower lip with precaution. He ended it as quickly as it started.

He opened his eyes and kissed her forehead. He got up and turned around to leave. He opened and closed the door disappearing from her sight.

Genesis froze. She didn't move for a minute or so. Her hand slowly moved towards her lip and she touched her lower lip.' What the hell was that?' She wondered.

Her heart still kept beating rapidly. She placed her hand in her chest in disbelief.

'Why is it beating so loudly?' She felt her cheeks turn hot. She patted them still in disbelief."What kind of reaction is this?"She whispered.

Her thoughts were all over the place. She tried closing her eyes but his image would show up making her open her eyes wide.

"Omg! I'm going insane!" She came with this conclusion. It is just that every logical reason for what he did made absolutely no sense.

"Does he maybe….like me?"She asked herself out loud but immediately shook that idea away."Ugh! This is so annoying! Just give me a damn explanation before you leave will you!" she puffed her cheeks and slammed the bathroom door close.

She got ready to take a bath to compose herself but it did not work at all.

"Aren't you going to explain anything?" Mr.Miller asked. Aiden had an expressionless face but Mr.Miller could see his bright red ears."Please elaborate father."Aiden answered and sat down.

"You like her don't you?" He asked.

Aiden was quiet.

"No." He answered.Mr.Miller frowned."Then I will cancel the engagement. I won't allow a loveless marriage in my family." Mr.Miller declared coldly.

"I don't just like her….I love her."
