Linda's POV
I watched from a distance as the duel unfolded, my heart heavy with disappointment. The sight of Andrew, my fiancé, being defeated by Alex was a bitter pill to swallow. I had seen it coming, and warned him countless times about his reckless behavior, but it seemed my words had fallen on deaf ears. My fingers clenched into fists as I witnessed the result of his stubbornness and arrogance.
I remembered the conversations we had and the arguments that had ensued. I had implored Andrew to have a backup plan, and to consider the consequences of his actions. But he had dismissed my concerns with a careless wave of his hand, confident in his abilities and his desire to take the position of alpha. And now, there he lay, battered and injured, defeated in front of the entire pack.
