As Melody rejoined with Max, she couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction. The gala night had turned into something far more significant than she had anticipated. Using the persona of Luna Noir had allowed her to move about in the community in a unique and powerful way. 

"Wow, this is unreal, Max!" 

"You're killing it up there, babe! You look like a star!"

She leaned in, her curiosity was piqued as she stared at him intently. "Alright, spill the beans, Max. What's the deal with all of this?"

Max took a deep breath, looking both serious and amused at the same time. "Well, my dear, I saw you were stressed about running into your lover and wanted to help. So, I came up with the idea of disguising you as Luna Noir, a mysterious and generous figure, to keep your identity hidden and give you some breathing space."
