Owen's POV

I drove with the windows down. There is nothing soothing as feeling the air on my face, it's evidence that my problems were behind me, a very huge, currently in tears problem I called Mother.

 I could still see the look on her face as I packed up a few of my things into my brother's car and drove off. I could swear it was a look one finds on the face of someone that was newly betrayed.

Elise Audrey White thinks I betrayed her, mean how messed up was that.

I tried to keep my priority straight, I had to push everything about my parents failing marriage and my mother's hurt feelings out of my mind and focus on getting Emily back.

I have to try and figure out the right words to say to her. I want to figure out the right gift that screams 'i am sorry, I broke your heart but I did it to protect you'
