8 Chapter 8

Two months is all it took to Tony and Rome become good friends, though Rome never talked about his feelings towards Ray to Tony, it's not that he doesn't trust Tony but it's just he wants to keep it burried it in his heart as long as he can and if possible take it to his grave.

It was early in the morning, Ray and Rome entered their class together as usual, Rome went to sit besides Tony and Ray went to sit infront of them. Rome smiled,"Morning Tony" Tony ruffled Rome's hair,"Good morning Rome."

Rome let out a small chuckle and Ray tried to hide his annoyance seeing how close his 'bestfriend' was to someone else. Ray said,"Hi Tony." Tony looked at Ray and replied to his greeting with a Hello.

The door opened and Lacy walked in,"Hi Tony, Hi baby~" Lacy walked up to her seat and sat besides Ray who kissed her forehead,"Baby you didn't say 'Hi' to Rome."

Lacy gritted her teeth, Ray was normally very dense and would not notice that she ignored Rome but now he noticed it.

"Did that annoying prat told him something or what?" Thought she.

Lacy smiled beautifully and said,"I didn't see him because he too small." Lacy obviously wanted to make fun of Rome's height but the way she said it made it seem otherwise.

Rome sensed Lacy's true intention yet he kept a small smile. Ray glanced at his friend and smiled,"Yes you're right, he is just a cute little being."

Tony also felt Lacy's intention but he went on with Ray,"Oh he sure is cute."

Rome hearing this pouted,"Guys~ I am not that small."

Ray and Tony just chuckled, Lacy smiled on outside but inside her blood was boiling, "That attention seeking freak." Lacy said in her mind.

Tony patted Rome's head,"Stop pouting, it makes you look even more cute." Rome sure was not used to this kind of compliment so naturally a small tint of red dusted on his cheeks. Ray seeing Rome blushing felt the sudden urge to punch Tony's grinning face.

But he restrained himself from doing so as Manry entered the class. She gave everyone her normal smile before taking their attendance and proceed with the lecture.

Few minutes passed by after the lecture started, Tony looked at Rome,"Rome~ Can you explain this part to me? I don't quite understand."

Rome looked over at Tony's book,"Yeah sure. Here this is how it's done." Rome showed him how to solve that part . Tony scruched up his nose,"I know how to solve this problem but I am not sure about the rest. Can you teach me later? There are only 2 weeks for the tests to begin."

Rome nodded,"If you are free come to my house after school is over, I will teach you what you don't understand and later we can play video games or stuff like that and if you want, you can stay the night."

Tony practically beamed at the offer,"Yes I am free. I will come to your house. We can study and play games together. It will be so fun."

Rome grinned,"Yeah, It will be fun."

Ray had heard the whole conversation and if you want him to be honest, he was far more than just annoyed, the reason was still unknown to him. But he felt this was going to far, he won't let Tony off, he was so mad at tony to think straight.

Time passed by in a blink of an eye and it was already break time.

Ray got up from his seat and looked at Rome and Tony. He said,"Rome I want to talk to you about something , come with me." It was not a request but a demand which was clear from his voice.

Rome furrowed his brows and got up from his seat,"Sure. Tony let's go together." Ray glared at Tony,"No Rome Only You come with me."

Lacy glanced from Rome to her boyfriend then asked,"Can I come with you?"

Ray smiled softy."Of course you can."

At first, Rome thought Ray wanted to have a personal talk with him but when Ray allowed Lacy to go together with them he got and shot a glare towards Ray,"What do you want to talk about Ray? Talk here."

Ray frowned,"It's personal. I can't talk infront of him."

Rome gritted his teeth,"Why? You can talk in front of Lacy but not Tony, why is that?"

Ray drapped his arm around Lacy's waist,"Because she is my girlfriend. And he is just your friend."

Rome was getting angry,"He is not just friend. He is my bestfriend."

Lacy interrupted,"But even if Tony is your bestfriend, I am Ray's girlfriend. And the girlfriend is always bigger than a bestfriend."

Rome was angry was an understament, he was getting furious now. He was not sure what was the cause, Whether it Ray mistreating his bestfriend Tony or Ray saying Lacy was important enough to be in their 'personal' talk or Lacy indirectly implying that she is Ray's girlfriend and she is will always come before him, Ray's bestfriend.

Rome raised his voice than normal,"You stay out of it Lacy!"

Ray's eyes widened,"Rome this is not the right way to treat my girlfriend." Rome let out a scoff,"And what you did was right? The way you treated my bestfriend was also not nice."

Ray grabbed Rome's collar,"What is this guy to you huh? Is he more important to you than me?" Rome flinched when he felt Ray grabbed his collar but he didn't show any fear on his face,"What do you mean?"

Ray stared Rome in the eye,"Rome, I am saying you chose him over me. From the day he has came, you always hang out with him and not me. You are my bestfriend."

Rome was not liking this one bit. What did he do wrong? Why did the small matter was growing so much? Tears filled his eyes,"No Ray~ I didn't chose Tony over you but you chose Lacy over me. Ever since the day Lacy entered your life, you always talk about her, you would always bring her with you wherever you go, on the days when we should hang out by ourselves you bring her in making me the third wheel. But now when I find someone who can be with me you are getting angry and excluding him, do you even care about my feeling?"

The last sentence and Rome's tear brimmed eyes was enough to make Ray come back to his senses, he let go of Rome's collar,"Why didn't you tell me earlier?"

Rome choked on the lump in his throat,"So what would have you done if I told you earlier? I know she is your girlfriend and you have to give her your time. I am very happy for you so I didn't say anything. And I was glad when Tony came because now I finally had someone to talk to when you guys are busy kissing, whispering and dating."

Rome closed his eyes and the tears started to fall, Ray reaised that his friend was very sensitive type of guy, he realised that Rome would do anything for the person he called a friend. Ray took a step forward and said,"I am sorry Rome. I should have considered your feelings first. You know I care about you right? You can bring Tony wherever you want. And Tony I am sorry for treating you like that. I guess I was jealous that my bestfriend was suddenly taken away from me. Sorry."

Rome smiled,"I am sorry too for getting mad at you guys and making a scene."

Tony who was quiet all the while chuckled,"It's okay. And Ray no hard feelings I understand you. I would also feel the same way if I were in your position."

They all smiled at each other. Ray and Rome looked in each other's eyes and grinned widely yet something was not feeling right.
